Dr. Joe is the best! He and his staff are very friendly and make dentist appointments a breeze. It's a very clean office with plenty of parking, so I feel very comfortable there. One of the great parts of the office is the new technology. Dr. Joe took X-rays of my teeth and immediately put them on the screens to show me the condition of my teeth. My former dentist did not have this technology and it was really neat to be able to see my teeth so clearly and quickly along with the capacity to zoom in. Dr Cheng, Grace, and their staff are amazing! Very thorough, and they take the time to explain everything, answer your questions, and get to know you. They're very fair with pricing, and they don't sneak in any hidden charges beyond what insurance covers- as my previous dentists have done. They had me on a routine of visiting 3 times per year after a period of not going to the dentist, and my teeth have been improving. I can honestly say that since I've been going here, I've no longer had that feeling of anxiety about going to the dentist! I even brought my oldest for his first visit when he turned 2, and he was a little nervous but he enjoyed his visit... and still remembers it 2 years later and the "dental dinosaur" that they gave him! Dr Cheng ultimately referred him to Simi Children's Dental since he figured it'd be a better experience for him, which it definitely was. Dr. Cheng is awesome! The whole experience from being greeted by the lovely Grace at the front of the office to the end; it's great! Today I went for the first time. I haven't been to the dentist for a couple years (awful I know). Dr. Cheng showed me my x-rays on the TV in front of me, right away. Technology has clearly gotten much better since my last visit. Originally I went in to get my old filling looked at because it was bothering me. After looking at the x-rays, Dr. Cheng encouraged me to change the old silver filling, especially since it was bothering me. THANK GOODNESS for smart Dr. Cheng! I decided to go with his advice and am ecstatic that I did. Apparently, my old filling was leaking and my tooth was beginning to rot below. He said that when he was drilling my old filling basically just crumbled away. He continued to drill out the rot and filled it. My tooth is looking great and feels awesome! I am so thankful for Dr. Cheng. He is very informative and helpful in explaining what he's going to do and what he did. Yay! read more

Best dentist we've ever had! Dr. Cheng is honest, caring, and painless. He will not try to tell you that you need a procedure you don't (unlike those "green sign" dental places do). He has worked with us on insurance issues and helped with our uninsured older daughter. Dr. Cheng was recommended by our daughters' orthodontist (Dr. Austin and Singson - also great!) and is in the same building. I recently moved to Simi from the east coast and was referred to Dr Cheng by a neighbor.He is by far the most caring and knowledgeable dentist I have ever encountered. I have had a crown done and fillings and both were great with no problems. I have no insurance for dental work and the Dr always takes that into consideration and offers me many options. I use to have a great experience at this office however recently and unfortunately there was this situation where his receptionist also known as his wife was giving me in sight on a payment that I owed by my understanding and by being a patient I have a right to ask and to question about my billing. However his wife didn't like that that much and instead of saying it's a company policy for a certain situation she just blurted out will you can find another dentist. Now I was trying to be cordial with her and trying to understand why I had to owe some money and even speaking to dr. Chang which is her husband he was on her side which was unfair to me because I was just being the patient and questioning my billing and they both agree that if I didn't like it to basically find another dentist I would have given this dentist 5 stars but from recent activity and unfortunate situation I will no longer be going there and I will be writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau about this and I don't know if by a husband-and-wife working together has anything to do with it but it was not handled professionally read more

My husband and i really like going here and believe it or not my kids love it too, they get to pick a movie to watch while their teeth are being cleaned and then they get to pick a prize at the end also.
