We finally decided to make a dedicated shopping trip out of it, and I was honestly surprised by how large the outlet center is. There are well over a hundred stores, ranging from designer brands to more everyday retailers, so it's easy to spend an entire day there if you're not careful. We quickly realized it was best to focus on a handful of stores rather than trying to see everything. We ended up visiting places like Clarks, Adidas, Levi's, Banana Republic, and Gap. Every store we walked into had impressive sales for selected items or for everything in the store. Some of the prices were the best I had seen in a while. I walked away with two pairs of shoes and a pair of pants, though still nowhere near as much as my significant other bought! Overall, it turned into a fun and relaxing day. One helpful tip: it's an open-air outlet mall, so visiting on a nice day definitely makes the experience more enjoyable.

The fitting rooms are on the back right of the store, and the staff will escort you to a room and open the door for you. They are always friendly and accommodating. The rooms have a full-length mirror that runs parallel of the room with a bench on the end and coat racks on the other side of the door to hang your items. During our last visit, they limited customers entering the store and an employee kept track of people coming in and out. Even when we were perusing, the staff asked if we needed some shopping bag and always asked if we needed assistance. They weren't overbearing and provided a nice balance of customer service. Under Armour has stepped up their game with high-quality, comfortable and durable materials when it comes to sports gear. You can see the research they've done on each product, and they really cater to an athlete in mind. I have to downgrade the previous five star review due a negative experience returning shoes at this…read morelocation. We live 45 minutes away from Vacaville where the store is located. I made a special trip a month or so ago to look at shoes for my dad. He had good luck with this brand in the past. Unfortunately, he has gout and very painful bunions impairing his functioning and he has daily pain in both feet. Though we are trying to address both issues with podiatry and his primary care doctor, it's still a challenge. He thought the two pairs of shoes we got would work after testing them out at the store, but after wearing them each for a couple hours at home he felt unstable and his feet hurt. A double negative. I wanted to return them but it's hard to find a time as they are only open from 10 am- 7 pm, and they are 45 minutes away, and add the never ending construction on Hwy 50/80 through West Sac to Davis, there's usually a huge slowdown, let alone more if there's an accident. I made a real effort to get to the store (including a 45 minutes delay) to get the shoes returned (which are virtually unworn) in the 45 day limit. I was greeted with "Are you here for an exchange?" I said, no, I'm here for a return, these didn't work out for my Dad. She then asked, did I need to look around just to make sure?... Um, no. She then asked in an accusing tone "Where's the box for the other pair?" I said the pair was in clearance and it didn't have a box. That is what my Dad told me...she said, "That's weird." She then proceeded to look over the shoes as if she was a forensic scientist. Flipping the soles, looking at the insoles...searching for signs of wear. She finally and reluctantly gave me a full refund. And with that unpleasant experience added to the awful drive, I will definitely not be returning here for anything. We had a great experience with the two guys running the store a month ago in the morning...no drama and just great customer service. I like to exercise my right to return. But I make sure things are in excellent shape, I have the receipt, I meet the time metrics, and understand the policies of the store. I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal for returning two pairs of athletic shoes. Be aware and choose to take your business elsewhere if the ability to return shoes is important to you.

This store not only carries a wide variety of wallets, purses, and handbags, but also a very impressive collection of luggage, mens and womens apparel (jackets, sweaters, shoes), belts, scarves, sunglasses, and watches. Surprised was an understatement as this store was very spacious as the display fixtures provided lots of room to shop without being overcrowded. Now what really surprised me was that I actually left this store purchasing something! I was in need of a new wallet and had already shopped on Amazon as well as visiting Macy's and Nordstrom Rack. Nothing really got my attention. Well that is until I went to the dedicated mens section. Here I saw a very nice display of stylish wallets. After asking the sales associate for the price, I was absolutely blown away with the deal I got. They were offering ALL mens wallets at 60% off the sale price. There is where I bought a full-size charcoal/black wallet complete with room for my drivers licnese, two bill compartments, and slots to hold up to eight cards. It was also a lot bigger than the wallet I had for a long time. And when I say a long time, my last wallet was at least 12 years old where it was ripped with all of the leather completely distressed after years of daily use. The Coach wallet uses a ton of quality materials that I know will withstand the test of time for years to come. All in all, the "Coach Wallet" at the Vacaville Outlets was a very pleasant surprise. This is also the only dedicated Coach store in between the Bay Area and Sacramento. The customer service here was above average and some of the deals are hard to pass up. With that said and done, I am giving this location an above average four-star Yelp rating.

On my return visit, I explained to the associate and she had to check the notes. She quickly returned and my transaction was fixed and completed. I understand that mistakes happen.
