This is what I imagine the 70s were like where people dined in lounge cafes with a "world…read moreinfluenced" menu. It is a cosy space and full of people sipping on tasty coffee in giant mugs. Unfortunately we made the mistake of coming here with kids and had to spend a good 20 minutes firstly trying to decipher a very cluttered (and hard to read) blackboard menu on a wall and secondly, explain to each child what was written on the menu and things like a Greek Breakfast or a wagyu meatball was. Luckily crepes were on a separate specials menu behind the counter and we avoided tantrum time. Each meal came out separately, one 5 minutes after ordering, two 15 minutes after ordering and another one 20 minutes after ordering so that made for some fun! My Greek Breakfast was different and the poached eggs were cooked very well. The highlight of the dish was the greek yoghurt. My partner's lamb burger was simple and again the greek yoghurt sauce was the highlight. The meals are home cooked, simple in flavour and presentation but I did feel a little expensive for what was presented at $18 for a breakfast and a burger each. I'd definitely return back for a coffee and cake at some point and perhaps leave the little darlings at their parent's place next time too.

Staff are friendly in store and always up for a chat and happy to give you their recommendations on food or tea blend options. The Menu has a good range of breakfast and light lunch options and vegetarians will find themselves relatively well looked after. I'm a big fan of their pancakes (which are really pikelets) as they are very generous on the portion sizes as well as topping options. The coffee here is a wee bit bitter for my own liking but their lattes are crazy creamy. The Litttle Leaf also mixes their own tea blends you can buy in store, whilst I'm not a tea drinker myself, friends have assured me it is top notch. The Leaf 'n' Bean also puts on regular events with live music, exhibitions and dessert nights on their cards. Lunching here I had a pulled pork bun with coleslaw with potato salad on the side, the pork was soft and tender and the potato salad had pickles (yay!) with yumminess all round.
