GUYS. I can not recommend Joanna and her crew enough. Just got home to see my home PROPERLY deep cleaned. Let me walk you through my past experience... we have tried using cleaners 4 others times. Every single one, we were so disappointed. The first finished in like an hour (what a joke). The second didn't even lift objects to wipe the whole surface underneath (uuuum?) the third was really really nice, but there were streak marks everywhere. The fourth was just okay... (he didn't even use proper bathroom cleaning supplies to get the soap grime). Now I am not joking. I have never seen our place this clean. I've literally spent the last 20 minutes walking around, wiping my finger across odd surfaces (like they do in the movies), and can't find any dirt or dust. I'm not exaggerating. And it's the stuff the other cleaners always missed: the inner ridge of the door molding, the tops of the baseboards, way behind the toilet, under my desk on the floor (yes I got on my hands and knees). Deep clean baby!!! She sent two cleaners, it took them 5 hours, and it was worth every penny. I've already recommended them to my friend, who just moved to Brooklyn, into an improperly cleaned apartment. And I will have Joanna and her crew here for normal cleans once a month, hopefully twice whenever possible. Thank you Joanna and Agata and Agata. I'm excited to take a bath in my SPARKLING bathtub. See you again soon!! read more

Another wonderful day of help at the apartment! I have a hard time with all the cleaning, and this is a great company! So worth it

These ladies are the best. We've used them a few dozen times over the years in three different apartments, and I think every time save one the apartment has been spotless and perfect. Often, it's better-organized than when we left it, too (though it can take us a day to figure out in which (much better) location our magazines now are, for example). For a two-bedroom apartment, four hours with one cleaner ($100) every four or five weeks has generally been sufficient. We had a regular person (Anna) for a couple years who was amazing, but after she became ill (hope you're doing better!), we've had different cleaners who have all been timely and professional. Some have had less English fluency than others, but it's simply a matter of showing them where you keep your cleaning supplies/equipment and showing them what you need. They've even handled my random requests (like cleaning the surfaces in my fridge) with efficiency. (Don't forget to tip well, these folks work hard!) We've recommended them to several friends who've all been satisfied as well. Thanks Joanna! read more

Upgrading my rating from my prior review. They failed to touch the top of cabinets the last time I called and barely made a dent in the oven. After complaining Joanna said she would give me $10 off the hourly rate next time I order cleaners. I did need another deep clean and the two that showed up did a much better job. I might consider them again. Realize now it really depends which cleaners show up, some are better than others. read more

Magda did an excellent Deep Clean. Very professional and conscientious and clearly knows what she is doing. Highly recommended.

I've been using Joanna Cleaning Service for the past 3+ years and I cannot recommend them enough. Every time I came home after a cleaning day, I'm happy. Gosha gets every piece of dust or dirt off every surface - nothing is missed. The floors are washed thoroughly, the kitchen is sparkling (they even wash the dishes and empty the dishwasher), my bedroom is organized, and every surface is wiped clean. It's so hard to find a reliable, quality, and reasonably priced cleaning service in Manhattan, and this one checks all the boxes. 100% go with Joanna if you're looking for a cleaning service! read more

First time user, and am officially hooked! My apartment is glistening, and I am loving that feeling! I will be using them from now on! The rate is excellent, and they were in & out! Perfect :) read more

I've been using Joanna's cleaning service for several years now because they are the best in the business and are amazing at what they do. We just had a deep clean service done and the results are far better than we even expected. Could not recommend this service more. read more

Joanna Cleaning Service - amazing deep clean service. Thank you! - Home Cleaning Near Me

They are a solid value for cleaning services. Make sure to check their website prior to scheduling to ensure you have all of the necessary cleaning items ready for them, as they do not bring the majority of supplies. They do a pretty thorough job - but make sure to communicate everything you want done prior to your appointment - as communicating with the cleaners themselves may be difficult as their english is not the best. read more

I switched to Joana's service after my regular cleaners were not doing a great job . They were very responsive and always work towards helping you get the best out of your service. They don't just clean, they wipe down surfaces dust every picture and help organize and cut the clutter . They use supplies provided by you ... which is great because with babies around the home you can't be too careful . They are solid value for money and can't be beat ! Anna has helped me through my pregnancy and does a great job always ... I'm so glad we found Anna ! Thank you for doing what you do ! read more

I've been using Joann Cleaning since May 2019 and I am extremely pleased with her service. She answers the phone right away, is extremely professional and easy-going to talk to and I LOVE the ladies I've worked with to clean my home. The cleaning ladies are always on time, hard workers and don't play games when it comes to cleaning! LOL They're like super women and get sh*t done! I recently worked with Gosha #2 (yes, there's two women by the name of Gosha) who didn't clean, but organized. Oh my gosh. This woman was like bionic woman and super woman combined LOL. I gave her instructions once and that was it! These women are very hands-on, need very little guidance and are in your home with very little distraction. I'm definitely a BIG fan of Joanna Cleaning and will recommend it to everyone I can! read more

When I called and ask for the price they said it was $59.99 for 2 hrs for a 1 br apartment. They sent 2 cleaning ladies and since I've hired other cleaning services before, I wanted to make sure the bedroom was spotless. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are usually clean since they aren't uaed as much. Well they took 1.5 hrs to clean the bedroom and didn't thinking they would get much done with only 30 mins. So I decided to pay them for a full 2 hr. However thwy called the office and apparently they were charging me $74.99. I asked why and she claimed that it is $69.99 for 2 hrs and with tax it's $75. After arguing for a while and pressed for time now. I juat payed the asking price with no tip. Never going to go through this service again read more

Terrible, corrupt. Not honest and doesn't communicate well. I was clear that I couldn't afford a deep cleaning which is 60 an hour so I requested a general cleaning which Joanna said was "25 per hour" so then she said she will send a "team". I asked to confirm is this still a general cleaning and she said yes. So she sends 2 girls and then charges me 50 dollars an hour because apparently it's 25 for each cleaner. A mediocre job still dirty on windowsills and under the bed and I paid almost as much as i would have for a deep cleaning. Awful communication skills and was busy defending herself on the phone instead of admitting she didn't communicate price clearly to the customer. Way overpriced service and doesn't care about client needs or admitting mistakes. Stay away from this woman read more

We hired this cleaning company to clean up our apartment for about four hours at a rate of $25/hour. Nothing was thoroughly cleaned in the apartment. When we went to inspect things like corner crevices and even underneath the toilet seat, there was still dirt and grime in places that should have been cleaned to the T. Things like the toilet should be well tended to when you are hiring a cleaning crew. If they mess up on this, can they get anything right? The floor wasn't even cleaned properly, as it was still dirty when we came into the apartment. Based on the materials that the cleaning crew left, we could tell that the floor was cleaned with pretty cheap supplies. If I'm going to be paying $25 per hour for cleaners, I'd hope and expect that they would be using professional-quality cleaning materials for my house. We used this cleaning service based on these positive reviews on Yelp, but realized shortly the apartment cleaning that these reviews are likely almost all fake. If you take a look at these reviews, most of them are done by people who have only written one or two Yelp reviews, and this could hardly be deemed credible for any business. I'd never recommend this business to anyone unless I wanted a shoddy, lazy job done. read more

Highly recommended. I just used Joanna Cleaning Service for a deep clean of the apartment. Booking over email was incredibly easy. The cleaners were punctual, friendly and very professional. I loved that they started by asking what my expectations were for their service and ended by asking me to review the apartment to make sure I was totally happy. I have a cat and a dog (yea I know) and the cleaners handled them perfectly, even warning me when the cat was investigating the bleach in the bathroom. The apartment has never looked so good! Thank you Joanna Cleaning Service! read more

Yesterday was my third cleaning with Joanna. I've been beyond satisfied each time, especially because every other cleaning service I have used in New York City has been a NIGHTMARE. Joanna's is nowhere near that. First, Joanna makes it easy as you can set-up appointments with her (as a repeat customer) by text message. Very good for my fast paced life; a few texts and boom, I am confirmed. Second, Joanna's girls are always on time. Yesterday, Joanna's representative showed up 15 minutes early. Having had other cleaning services (cough, Alpha Living) have their employees either not show up at all or show up hours late, Joanna's employees' being so prompt is a breath of fresh air. Finally, and most importantly, cleaning is always top notch. Yesterday we asked for a fridge cleaning as well and I have honestly never seen my refrigerator this clean; not even when I moved it. It's gorgeous! With my last cleaning service, the girl even put my laundry away!! She went above and beyond; it was wonderful. Only reason for not 5 stars is that with each of our girls that we've had by to clean, there was always 1 or 2 things that she missed. We've started making a list that we leave so as to make sure this does not happen. Also, sometimes the girls unplug things and do not plug them back in. MINOR MINOR details in the grand scheme of things. Overall, wonderful service. read more

2 workers were in my apartment all day and only cleaned the oven. Disappeared with my keys and am still trying to get my money back. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE read more

I just hired this service for the second time and again am very pleased. I usually clean myself. Both times that I brought Joanna Cleaning Service in, I was having a party and needed a professional since the professional seems to get it buttoned up, tight and sparkling, which I can't seem to do. The scheduling communication is smooth. I did it by email this time around and last time by phone and email. Both times, the cleaning person was prompt, polite, energetic and did a great job. I will continue to use Joanna Cleaning Service. read more

This is the first time I've used a company to clean my place as I used to think paying someone to clean an apartment space, and not do a great job at that, is a waste of money. I'm from the south originally, so the thought of having someone clean my place that wasn't a large house seemed ridiculous to me...that is until you get into the hustle/bustle of the city and run low on time while dust and grime accumulate soooooo much here. I signed up for a deep cleaning (2 cleaners/ 4 hours) as I wanted to see what "the best" they had to offer would look like...I wanted them to go places I don't regularly go and grab all the hidden dust bunnies and such.... Meagan and Dorata came to my home n went into immediate clean mode..they confirmed what I wanted to done and I stayed for the majority of the cleaning (like I said, I was skeptical and from the south where you don't leave strangers in your house lol). They did THE BEST job!!!! There's nothing like coming home to a cleannnnn home!!! Soooo very happy to have found this company! I will be using them on a regular basis an will be requesting Meagan and Dorata again! read more

Joanna's team is clearly superior to other services. Rarely do I ask for someone to professionally come and take care of my apartment but after moving in and constantly redoing, moving and hanging up various fixtures I knew it was time to call the pros. I'll update to add the woman's name who came to clean, but she was fantastic. Covered literally every spot, cleaned the floor by hand and made sure to place everything back after moving it. I have many antiques and valuables and she was careful with all of it. I have small dogs and she was patient, fun and kind with them even when they can easily get underfoot. As a result I definitely think it's worth the value and I'll be making this a regular thing every 3-4 weeks. read more

Hire these people immediately. They are the BEST. Anna first came to my apartment 2 years ago. She was incredibly sweet, friendly, caring, and made my home SPOTLESS. I just moved in with my girlfriend a few months ago and guess what I brought with me?... Anna! Don't think twice. Just hire this firm. They have a couple different cleaners that they send out; if you can, ask for Anna, she's wonderful. read more

LOVE! Agata and Joanna have just left my apartment after a basic cleaning this afternoon, and it smells great, looks sparkling, and was a pleasure! I've used JCS for a few years now, about once or twice a month to get it extra-clean in here (lord knows I could use the help because I hate cleaning) and they always do an amazing job. I've had several different ladies and all of them have consistently done a great job. Always on time, and great attention to detail. Would highly recommend! read more

When Real Life recorded their epic hit 'Send Me an Angel' they obviously had their apartment cleaned by/were hoping their apartment would be cleaned by - these magical people. I have never - that is NEVER - had anyone do such work in my presence. Every fortnight Theresa arrives and makes my space livable again... Coming home after she's been there is nothing short of glorious. She takes such care, and has incredible attention to detail. I believe as of writing this, she is completely booked. Which is no surprise. To have someone who takes as much care as she does, all with a wonderful demeanor is a gift. She even brought Polish chocolates to us at christmas!!!?!?!?! LIKE - SERIOUSLY?????? The SWEETEST. Joanna Cleaning Service FTW! read more

So I finally notice that my house is eating me alive. It is encroaching from practically every wall: books; collectibles; pieces of paper. It has not really moved in that far, but my mind plays out the cinematic future of this ooze of papers and animate stuff. Even worse, it becomes impossible to clean; to clean anything: dusty stone collection; dusty fossil collection;; photo collection art collection; book collection;; woodblock collection computer collection; overwhelming to be filed collection. My home had stopped feeding my soul. There was a sense of listlessness about it. It had once been my refuge and my castle, my home. First stop: YELP! First Hit: JOANNA CLEANING SERVICE. I look at Joanna Cleaning Service, with about a gazillion five-star reviews and the inevitable one star whinger. Not only are there five-star reviews, but there are five-star reviews that go on at length about the exquisite first experience of having one's home cleaned by Joanna Cleaning Service and the exquisite continuing service. I knew my place was a tough job so we estimated two cleaning people for five hours; it only took them eight hours each. These women are fanatics about clean and organized. They cleaned everything on every shelf. They cleaned the shelves. They re-organized every shelf. They cleaned every crystal and rock and stone. I don't even know how many crystals, rocks and stones I have! They went big-game hunting and demolished every dust rhinoceros under the bed. They vacuumed every rug twice. They scrubbed the floors on their hands and knees, and then they dried those floors. I have to put on sunglasses to go into the bathroom or kitchen. We have yet to tackle the study, with its own mysteries of fossils and antique pharmacy glassware. I think that shall be our next project. They really want me to mention their name, these women who rescued my domestic joy, and the only reason I am is because I have already called Joanna and said, "Those two are mine and you will send them to me for every booking I make." And Joanna agreed. So hats off to my mind-blowing goddesses of clean named Justina and Agnes. I am grateful for having my home reborn. read more

We've had our one-bedroom apartment cleaned every 2 weeks for the past few years by another cleaning service, but were not satisfied by the uneven work. For a while we were too busy to do anything about it, and consoled ourselves by noting that our regular cleaner was at least punctual. After reading all these positive reviews on Yelp, we decided to try Joanna Cleaning Service. They definitely live up to their good reputation! As the daughter of immigrants I appreciate the cleaners' hard work, attention to detail, good value, and willingness to accommodate special requests. Grazyna was our first cleaner, and she made everything shine. Today Agnieszka arrived and did an equally good job. She even cleaned the inside of our refrigerator and freezer without being asked. It costs $100 for 4 hours of cleaning, not including tip, and it is totally worth it. Wow! read more

IT is VERY VERY difficult for me to give 5 stars for a cleaning service as I have tried so many and they have epically disappointed. However, I used Joanna's service in March before moving into my apartment so they can clean the dust and dirt off every shelf and clean the beyond disgusting oven and refrigerator that was left behind. They did a PHENOMENAL job!!!! They left behind the little ledge outside my apartment and the broiler in my oven and Joanna sent them the next day to come clean it and they did.. and did a phenomenal job. I am now going to be using Joanna's service to clean my apartment on a monthly or biweekly basis. Again.. this is hard, but I really think they make a significant difference. read more

We've used Joanna for a few months now and have had a couple of her nice ladies come in and clean. We use them about once a month. When we were searching for this type of service we were a little concerned because we have a dog. She is a friendly dog but you never can tell how outsiders are going to react around pets. Everyone we have had come in has been very sweet to our puppy, letting her wander around as they clean. They are awesome with her! As far as cleaning, they are very professional, very thorough and affordable. They are very accommodating when it comes to specific guidance (clean this but avoid that). I always look forward to them coming because after they are done I know the apartment will sparkle and smells so clean and fresh. I strongly recommend them. read more

I just used Joanna's cleaning service for the first time today and they were better than I could have dreamed of. Not only did they do an amazing job cleaning but they organized the apartment without throwing out anything valable. Anna and Maggie have won a customer for life A couple things to keep in mind: Its 25 per hour PER PERSON so be prepared for their to be multiple people and to pay accordingly If you don't have the supplies listed on their website its an extra 40 Even with these caveats its worth far and above what I paid and I'll be using them again in future NO QUESTION read more

I highly recommend Joanna cleaning services!! I gave my home to few friends for the weekend and when I came back from Vacation my house was a mess. I heard of Joanna's cleaning services from few friends, I had two girls come and scrub the kitchen stove and counter, vacuum and mop, my bathroom also needed scrubbing, and windows needed cleaning and remove all garbage. I was so impressed with the work that I even have them come later that week to my office. Overall four stars! read more

Betty and Agnes did a fabulous job deep cleaning my grandpa's house. They arrived early and were nice, professional and through. They really got into the corners and left no stone unturned. Don't ask why my grandpa has stones in his house... ;) I bought my own supplies because I'm particular about what I use to clean and didn't want to spend the extra $ for them to bring theirs. The one less star is because I'm used to having a service that arrives with all of their cleaning tools, but I imagine that's harder to come by in a big city. The next time I'm in NY I will be hiring them again. They were great! Thanks Joanna! read more

I have been taking help from Joanna cleaning service for at least two years and being very happy with the company. Simply, an amazing service. I had moved into the apartment about a month ago and hadn't had the time to clean it properly. I contacted Joanna via e-mail for a deep clean after reading all the glowing reviews here. Kate and Janet are wonderful, professional and efficient. We have had Joanna cleaning our house for nearly 9 months now and I simply cannot recommend her highly enough. I've already referred a friend in the area to her and will continue to refer her to any of my friends who need help. She is detail-oriented and extremely thorough, our house always looks shiny and new when she's done. No dust, streaks, fingerprints etc. I have never in 9 months found one thing she's missed- and that is really saying a lot. As an added bonus, she's really good with my infant son, even when he is not having a great day, and I really appreciate her pleasant demeanor. read more

They arrived exactly when promised and immediately went to work - I offered them coffee and other things but they are ALL BUSINESS! My advice: Schedule them ASAP, answer the door when they arrive and then just get out of their way! Going to schedule a deep-clean every other month! Thank you Ana and Barbara!!! read more

I called earlier this week and Joanna was somehow able to schedule me within the week, which was amazing. Justina came by promptly at 8AM, as scheduled. My one bedroom apartment was decently dirty. I just got off of a few crazy months at work, and unfortunately I let the place go. I tried to clean it many times, but it proved too much. Within a couple of hours Justina had it looking better than when I moved in. She did an absolutely amazing job and was very nice and professional. I couldn't ask for more. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep my place clean, but if I need to use a service again, I know who I am asking for. I highly recommend Joanna Cleaning Service and Justina. read more

I recently used Joanna to clean up my 1 bedroom apartment that has never been serviced by a cleaning service before. After emailing back and forth with Joanna who was always pleasant we decided to go with her. However, I thought the price quoted was a little pricey at first since I was providing my own supplies. But after seeing the job Evalina did, I am totally okay with it. Evalina showed up right on time and got to work immediately. Leaving her to work her magic I was incredibly happy with the work she did. She really got down and cleaned every nook and cranny of my apartment. Definitely going to try to set up future appointments with Joanna. read more

I've hired Joanna's cleaning service a handful of times in the past year, and I'm a big fan. All the cleaning crews so far have been professional, efficient, tireless, and so good at what they do! Today Aneta and Agata did a wonderful deep clean of my apartment, including the inside of my fridge and oven. (Thank you!) They ask detailed questions about what you'd like done, which I love. Sometimes about things it would never occur to me to clean. Scheduling is easy over email, with Joanna, they usually offer 9 am and 2 pm appointments, reach out for a quote. My one- bedroom deep clean was $240 (~4 hours, 2 staff). I run my own biz so I don't have time to clean my apartment as much as I'd like - super grateful to have found Joanna's service.
