I love Fabric World! I never know what I will find -- but when I need upholstery fabric for table…read moredrapes or pillow shams, this is THE place to go. The staff is super helpful, and of course the fabric is beyond affordable -- usually $4 a yard or less. Last week I saw 54" wide rolls of block-printed African prints that would have cost oodles in a higher-end store. For $5 a yard. This is the place to go if you are willing to hunt, and if you don't confuse bare-bones displays for a lack of quality. There is always something different, as well, but make sure that you get enough of what you need, because most of the rolls are discontinued / remnants, and you likely won't find that roll again. Fabric World used to have more apparel fabrics, jumbled onto huge tables. During the first year of the pandemic I picked up serious quality cotton - -Robert Kaufmann -- for $3/yard. They aren't carrying the quilting cotton remnants any longer, unfortunately, and the cotton on bolts doesn't feel nearly as high quality. It's also oriented more towards kids' prints. If you are making clothes for rapidly growing kids, though, it's exactly what you'd need! There are a few tables of apparel fabrics left. I've gotten quality linen there, though the bulk is rayon / polyester / viscose / stretch fabrics. If you love fabrics and want to hunt ... this is your place! (Not to mention easy-peasy parking.)

I absolutely recommend this fabric store. If you're into reupholstering, making curtains, or making throw pillows or even a DIY'er you would certainly love Fabric World. Today's price was $3. per yard and the choices were above and beyond fantastic. The young lady who helped me (Kimberly) was amazing and extremely helpful. I will be certainly coming back to get my fabric from the store. One of Georgia's hidden treasures.

Are you a sewer who hasn't been to Gail K? Friend, you are missing out. Get going and find your…read morebliss! If your a fabri-holic like me, get thee to this second location of Gail K posthaste! It's not quite as packed as the original location on Cheshire Bridge Road. Some will find that to be a positive, some a negative, and some like me just won't care because there's so much beautiful fabric there you'll be in Nirvana either way. I will say that I think the second location is a little more spacious so it may be a little easier to find what you're looking for. On the other hand it feels to me like the one on Cheshire Bridge original store has a bit more fabric. Either way, if you can't find the cloth of your dreams here, it can't be found anywhere short of the New York City garment district. This is in a totally different league than Joanns or other chains. The only downside to both Gail K stores is that they're not open very late for my taste. the Norcross location is open until 5 pm while the other location is open only until 4 p.m. (!) except for Thursday when they're open till 7. Why can't they both be open till 10 at night 7 days a week? But they aren't and I suppose they can't be. So just get yourself going before the traffic gets bad and find those textile treasures. If you love fashion and fabulous fabric at fair prices, you'll find it well worth your time to patronize Gail K.

They had a lot of fabric, but with all that fabric, they didn't have a good jersey selection.read more

First time at this location but I have been shopping at Home Goods for years…read more We had just had lunch and I wanted to drop in to see what I could find after the holiday sales. I quickly realized that all Home Goods are not set up the same. I was looking for Furniture so I was turned around a bit As I made my way over to the furniture, I thought about the sideboard that I saw in another HG. There were quite a few in this HG that caught my eye. Specifically the black one in the photo. There were 2 and now I wish I had gotten both but it's ok the one is enough. I didn't see anyone in the area so I walked around and found someone to help. She was removing the chips, cookies, etc and asked that I give her a few minutes. I continued to walk around checking out the decorative pillows. She later found me standing near the sideboard. She advised me to go to the checkout and she would bring it upfront. This sideboard is beautifully adorned with gold hardware. It has 2 doors and 2 shelves. I knew it would fit perfectly in the dining room. This beautiful piece was priced at $299. Regular price $450 I couldn't wait to get it home and set it up. It's all set and as I envisioned it. You can never go wrong shopping at HG. One thing I want to say is if you see something you like get it. It's not guaranteed to be there the next day or hour. Honestly, I did not know this HG was located in the same plaza as Belk. Now I know and I recommend you to stop in and find some great buys!

Sigh! When you are out of town, but HomeGoods still calls your name…read more... I told myself--- I'm on vacation in Atlanta, supposed to be soaking up the sights and enjoying some Southern hospitality. Instead, however, I spotted a HomeGoods and immediately swerved because HomeGoods has a gravitational pull stronger than my travel plans. I went in just to browse. But I saw an Ember Mug (never seen one in any Los Angeles HomeGoods store and it was $40 cheaper than online), a cold brew carafe, white and gold plastic serving dish, and 37 other items I never knew I needed until they looked me in the eye from a decorative endcap. Another sigh. I thought about my luggage situation. No amount of creative Tetris-ing was going to get everything in my luggage. The Ember Mug had a fighting chance, but bought the serving platter instead. Five stars for the experience, zero stars for the size of my suitcase. I'll be visiting HomeGoods when I get back home. Maybe the day of arrival?!
