First time at this location but I have been shopping at Home Goods for years. We had just had lunch and I wanted to drop in to see what I could find after the holiday sales. I quickly realized that all Home Goods are not set up the same. I was looking for Furniture so I was turned around a bit As I made my way over to the furniture, I thought about the sideboard that I saw in another HG. There were quite a few in this HG that caught my eye. Specifically the black one in the photo. There were 2 and now I wish I had gotten both but it's ok the one is enough. I didn't see anyone in the area so I walked around and found someone to help. She was removing the chips, cookies, etc and asked that I give her a few minutes. I continued to walk around checking out the decorative pillows. She later found me standing near the sideboard. She advised me to go to the checkout and she would bring it upfront. This sideboard is beautifully adorned with gold hardware. It has 2 doors and 2 shelves. I knew it would fit perfectly in the dining room. This beautiful piece was priced at $299. Regular price $450 I couldn't wait to get it home and set it up. It's all set and as I envisioned it. You can never go wrong shopping at HG. One thing I want to say is if you see something you like get it. It's not guaranteed to be there the next day or hour. Honestly, I did not know this HG was located in the same plaza as Belk. Now I know and I recommend you to stop in and find some great buys! read more

Sigh! When you are out of town, but HomeGoods still calls your name.... I told myself--- I'm on vacation in Atlanta, supposed to be soaking up the sights and enjoying some Southern hospitality. Instead, however, I spotted a HomeGoods and immediately swerved because HomeGoods has a gravitational pull stronger than my travel plans. I went in just to browse. But I saw an Ember Mug (never seen one in any Los Angeles HomeGoods store and it was $40 cheaper than online), a cold brew carafe, white and gold plastic serving dish, and 37 other items I never knew I needed until they looked me in the eye from a decorative endcap. Another sigh. I thought about my luggage situation. No amount of creative Tetris-ing was going to get everything in my luggage. The Ember Mug had a fighting chance, but bought the serving platter instead. Five stars for the experience, zero stars for the size of my suitcase. I'll be visiting HomeGoods when I get back home. By far the nastiest customer service I've ever experienced while shopping here. There were two employees one with a plaid long jacket and the other had long blonde hair/ weave. I wish I had names so that I didn't have to describe physical appearance. Both were very unpleasant during my visit. Neither of them spoke when customers entered within feet of their space. Both acted as if answering a question about merchandise was beneath them. But the blonde haired one, I witnessed her being rude and nasty to a fellow employee and another customer that asked for her help on pricing. This is truly disgusting behavior as we are not in their personal rooms, we are in a store and expect to be treated with respect and assisted without attitude. read more

My wife and I went into the store in Conyers this morning at 9:30 to look at a plant stand that held 6 pots for $249 my wife has wanted since last week when she first saw it. We ordered our groceries from BJ's and were on our way to pick them up but wanted to load this planter box first. When we walked in there was a creative motorcycle wet bar right up front, had real tires on it and a glass holder for glasses and racks for wine bottles or bourbon bottles along with a "desk" top, I work from home and am redoing my office and shoot videos and my wife thought this would be cool. I agreed and looked it over, noticing the headlight was cracked and had a big hole in it. I looked around to talk to someone and saw a man by the register who turned out to be the manager. I ask if he could help me, and he walked over, I said this was cool looking for the money but the headlight was cracked, and pointed to it, putting my finger into the crack to show him. He said I see it, just a minute and walked off. I told my wife and she started looking around, some 10 minutes went by and he didn't come back. I turned to the counter nearby and ask the lady at the register to call the manager, she said she just did. Another 5 minutes goes by and he doesn't come back, I ask another lady walking by to call the manager and she went to the counter then turned to me and said the girl just called him. After a few more minutes I walked to the back of the store and coming around an end cap was the same manager talking to an employee. I waited until he was done and as he started walking off in the other direction I said "weren't you helping me up front" he said "you told me some light was broken", I said "I thought you were going to see if it could be discounted", he said "no, you just told me it was broken", feeling a little frustrated I said "I wouldn't pay 1k for a broken item" and he said, "I'm not asking you to buy it." I was taken aback by the comment and replied "why would I pay 1k for something broken, without a discount" he said, "I'm not asking you to buy it." I walked up front where my wife was, told her what the manager said and she turned around to leave I said "don't not buy the planter because of what he said to me", we paid the $250, loaded the planter with 6 pots (no help offered by the clerk). Then left. My wife called the HomeGoods store in Snellville and asked if they had the same motorcycle bar card, they did, and my wife ask if it had any damage, the clerk put us on hold, came back a few minutes later, and said the headlight was cracked in the back, my wife asks if we could get a discount and she said, without pause, "yes, I'll discount it 10%". We ask her to hold it for us, and we went home, unloaded the planter stand and 6 pots, then drove to Snellville, when we got there the item had a hold note on it with our name. The same lady on the phone helped us, gave us the discount, then had someone bring the item to our car and helped load it into our car. To me, the manager at the Conyers store wasn't interested in me, my interest in the 1k item (not a cheap purchase on top of the $250 we were spending), or in making a sale. His behavior and interaction felt dismissive, uninterested, and like he couldn't care one way or another if we bought anything or not. In comparison the manager in Snellville's (some 50 minutes from where we were) was not only interested, she went out of her way to answer our questions, marked the item on hold when we got there, quickly served us, showed us she gave us the discount and had someone help load it in our car. I love going to this HomeGoods when I'm just in the mood to mooch around. You can always find interesting things here, the store is clean and organized, and the employees are friendly and helpful. I visited this location a few weeks ago with my mother when I was embarrassed and humiliated an female employee when she said very loudly that I looked like I was going to have my baby at any given moment. This was said in front of all of the other customers. I was mortified by this response from this woman. I preceded to walk away from when I said no I am not going to give birth right this moment and I don't wish to share my personal business about my pregnancy with you. My mother was livid and she came to my defense when telling off this employee. The employee said well if I offended you I apologize, that clearly wasn't an apology. I was trying to purchase something for my son's nursery but I was too upset to but anything. So i suggested to my mother lets just leave. When we were walking out of the store, the female employee had the nerve to stare down my mother and I as we were leaving. Later on that evening I contacted HomeGoods corporate office to make an formal complaint. I was told by management that is particular employee has a history of insulting customers and making bigoted remarks against people.
