Surprise, surprise. Michael's is doing things right!…read more Cheap prices, plenty of merchandise, and they're super organized! I ordered from them as I had signed up to a Yelp virtual event for calligraphy, and lo and behold, the suggested shopping list had links here. Given that there's one relatively nearby, I placed an order and was told that so long as it was placed before 3 PM, I qualified for curbside pick-up. Ordered around noon and within the hour, I had my supplies. It was easy peasy! They e-mailed and texted me along the way. Once everything was ready, I drove over and called to let them know where I was. The guy who came out with my stuff was super sweet, wearing a mask and gloves. That being said, I think this is only the second time I go to Michael's and they only keep surprising me in a pleasant way. Hope to go inside again soon to browse around. Unfortunately, the owner was very bad with communication. She quoted me a price but then would not…read moreallow me to drop off my item for engraving. She took many days in between each communication, which wasted a lot of my time. I only had two weeks to get the job done, but she wasted much of that before telling me she wouldn't do it. Left a dry message at the end (after many communications trying to coordinate) that she could not do the job ...and then stopped replying altogether. Now I will miss my deadline for the sweet and thoughtful gift my group had planned for my friend. Ava Piper & Co really let me down. She was polite, but in the industry I imagine that trust to get a job done is very important. I'm very disappointed.
