Surprise, surprise. Michael's is doing things right! Cheap prices, plenty of merchandise, and they're super organized! I ordered from them as I had signed up to a Yelp virtual event for calligraphy, and lo and behold, the suggested shopping list had links here. Given that there's one relatively nearby, I placed an order and was told that so long as it was placed before 3 PM, I qualified for curbside pick-up. Ordered around noon and within the hour, I had my supplies. It was easy peasy! They e-mailed and texted me along the way. Once everything was ready, I drove over and called to let them know where I was. The guy who came out with my stuff was super sweet, wearing a mask and gloves. That being said, I think this is only the second time I go to Michael's and they only keep surprising me in a pleasant way. Hope to go inside again soon to browse around. For a store that claims to have the lowest prices. I would have to disagree with their statement. Specially once they are unable to exchange an item that was purchased at full price. Then you make an honest mistake with choosing the wrong frame size. Loose the receipt and come back couple weeks later to exchange the size and now you have to pay 3X it's original price. When clearly it's the same item- just different size. I was trying to downsize and Manager refused to just exchange it. Just walked out. Didn't get managers name but I felt robed. read more

I love walking into a Michael's store...they just always have so many items one can purchase that just get those creative juices flowing...art supplies, craft supplies as far as the eye can see. I especially love this particular Michael's location simply because it is so big! Two floors! I don't know any other Michael's store that is that big. I came here again because I was in the area buying Christmas supplies/decorations in another store in the area and I wanted to stop by this Michael's because it is always well stocked at this time with Christmas deco. As always I was not disappointed. Because the store is so large it can accommodate more Christmas decorations than other Michael's stores. I came here the day before Christmas Eve to buy a few last minute decorating items. The store only had a few Christmas items left, but I was able to find what I was looking for! I have come to this store previously and have had good experiences. I would suggest to the store that they have more than just one employee ringing the customers when there are about 20 of us waiting. It is not the employee's fault that she has so many customers and can obviously only go as fast as she can, but it would have been great if the manager that was there could have put someone else to help her ring up or done it themselves. read more

It's an organized location, however the speed of service when checking out is horribly SLOW! I hate coming to this location just because I know it's going to take FOREVER to check out. I honestly wish they would improve that. Then now require you to insert a quarter to use a shopping cart. It sounded silly as one of the sales associates said it to me. It's hard to get customers to carry cash now you want me to bring a quarter to use something that would be a connivence to me as your customer. This store has every thing crafters, artists, and decorators need. This Michael's is the biggest one I have gone to in south Florida and I have gone to almost all of them here. It has two floors thus an electric stair case in the middle. Great customer service and very helpful and friendly staff. And to save, take advantage of there weekly coupons just like there store deals. I have gotten up to 70% of on my purchase with a coupons. I definitely recommend over Walmart. At first glance this place is great. Two floors of everything you need to get your craft on, BUT... This location seems to have a limited selection of scrapbook supplies which is crazy because the store has more than enough space. What really disappointed me is some of the staff. I was nearly knocked over as two staff members were moving a cart of boxes. Let's be clear about a few things. First, I was not hurt and I'm no way did I expect the staff members to fall over me like a wounded bird. Second, we all make mistakes and a simple apology would have kept me from even posting about it. What bothered me is that the employee stopped, laughed and moved on. She did not seem concerned with the fact that she nearly knocked me over. I can understand that laughter is sometimes nothing more than a nervous reaction, but a simple I'm sorry goes a long way. The lines were long, but I'm not surprised as there was only one register opened. Despite this being so close to my home I would rather make the trip up to the Dadeland location. read more

I'm an avid crafter and LOVE craft stores. However every time I have been to this Michaels I have waited in the checkout long for over 20 minutes. The first time I thought maybe they're just busy. Then the second time I thought okay maybe they're busy again? But the third, fourth, fifth, sixth seventh and every time I've been there sense has been this way. When I get up to the register the cashiers are so pleasant, but I'm so frustrated by this point. Please do something about this. read more
