First, let's just get this out the way: their website (as of late 2013) is awful. It's like the internet circa 1997. Bad. But their retail location is large, pretty, with parking at both sides of their building (it's on a corner). The interior cordons off the wallpaper book "library" to the back where staff help consult shoppers like me looking for inspiration. But each time I've been there, it usually takes *several* minutes for someone to help and the staff have been more helpful than not, however English language skills are a lacking for some staff. This was less an attitude problem than a language thing. Anyway, I'm giving this a three star rating which might seem harsh, but that's exactly what I think makes sense: One Of A Kind stocks lots of wallpaper and interior textiles, with books available for research and product available for order, but it's not above-and-beyond.

We bought a beautiful light from a local store who handles their products and it had installation issues because of high technology that proved beyond the capabilities of our local supplier or of electrical companies they consulted... long story short, Finesse sent advice and parts repeatedly and after locals couldn't grasp it, Finesse sent a VERY EXPERIENCED and excellent serviceman from Miami to our home on North Hutchinson Island, about a three hour drive, to make it right. We finally decided to try it out and honestly, I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and patient with us. That was huge because we definitely had a LOT of questions about the rug making process lol. Nobody ever made us feel rushed or annoying, and they explained everything really well. I also loved the huge variety of yarn colors they had to choose from. Besides tufting, they also offer pottery and other fun activities, which makes the whole place feel really creative and unique. The studio itself was such a vibe too. They offered complimentary drinks while we worked on our rugs, which was a really nice touch, and they even have a little coffee shop inside where you can buy coffee and other specialty drinks while you're there. The overall experience was awesome. They walk you through everything step by step, so even beginners can do it without feeling overwhelmed. I also really liked that if you don't finish your rug, you can leave it there and come back another day to continue working on it. 1000% recommend this place if you're looking for something different and fun to do!
