Tucked away at the near end of Wynwood Block (the cowprint section) is Wynwood Letterpress. An elegant little spot that specializes in notecards, invites, napkins, as well as stationary, pencils and other cool little gifting items. While most people would assume Wynwood Letterpress caters only to those requiring invites or customization- truth is it can cater to anyone. It's got some unique items you won't find anywhere else. I bought an accountant friend some cute little designer looking pencils- I bought a preggo card for an expecting mother, flamingo notecards for a flamingo obsessed co-worker and I bought myself a super trendy little matchbox. Something for everyone and I feel all fancy about my purchases. Part of the Wynwood Block, Wynwood Letterpress features a thoughtfully organized array of cards, gifts, party accessories, office supplies, and more from the coolest makers in the world. Need a drink stirrer with a stegosaurus on top? They have that! Looking for a card to congratulate your gay BFFs on their engagement? They have a card just for that (and about every other occasion). On my last visit, I picked up a "carry on cocktail kit" for a friend's birthday that supplies all the ingredients to make the perfect gin and tonic in the sky! Of course, if you're in need of beautiful wedding invites, business cards, or other printed work, Bridget and her team can also handle that. My Fiance and I dropped in here while visiting Miami. As soon as we walked inside, we were welcomed by a husband and wife team. Besides being very friendly, they had great pieces and stationary goods. It smelled great inside and fun decor! Working in a small business, I understand how important the little details are. I have now used Wynwood Letterpress' services for two different occasions: my wedding and my company's re-launch party. For my destination wedding last summer, I knew that I wanted to have some custom, printed items to tie the whole event together -- but I did not have a clear vision beyond that. My fiance and I are getting married next month and were a little late in getting our invites together. We knew we wanted to use a local company and were excited when we came across Wynwood Letterpress - located in our favourite neighbourhood in Miami! Bridget was able to see us within a few days and as we walked in the door we were asked: ' Would you like any champagne / water?' - you had us at champagne Bridget! We sat down and were walked through all the different font styles, paper grades and invitation sizes / shapes etc... Bridget was also very accommodating to our slight whacky extra that we wanted! Not only is Bridget incredibly knowledgeable in this field but at times it seems as though she knows you and what you want / need better than you do! I love paper. Actually, I like paper and LOVE fancy paper. This fancy paper headquarters did not disappoint. I went in to browse and selected a single card for a friend. They have neat gifts, cool paper for wrapping and they make custom invitations as well. Give in to your more civilized self, stop in and get a card for someone you like. I really like places like this that make us remember a time when people put in more than a text to tell you that they care about your birthday or just to say hello. Saw this place in the Louis Vuitton city guide for Miami and got excited to buy some paper and notebooks. Unfortunately this place is nothing high-end or special at all. They have girlie birthday cards and some pens, no aesthetically pleasing paper or writing instruments. Staff is friendly and nice. read more
