The quality of work you get from these trade individuals is very high because they are working within their specialty. Another thing that was great about Troy was his willingness to meet with us and provide his input when needed. He is a good contractor to solve problems with because he has a very good eye for detail and will always do his work the right way. Lastly and most importantly, Troy is honest with you. We knew this wasn't a project to hand off to just anyone, we needed a true expert, someone who could steer us through every twist and turn with confidence. That's exactly what we found in Mike. From our very first meeting, Mike had a calm, reassuring presence that told us we were in good hands. He listened closely to our vision, asked the right questions, and laid out a clear path forward that immediately put our minds at ease. And trust us, our minds needed easing, we came to him with a steady stream of nervous, sometimes repetitive questions, and he never once made us feel like a burden. He answered every single one with patience, warmth, and genuine reassurance. Communication was a true highlight of working with Mike. He kept us updated at every stage, so we always knew exactly where things stood. What could have been an incredibly stressful, all-consuming process instead felt manageable, even exciting. He also took the reins on coordinating with city inspectors throughout the entire build, handling all the back-and-forth so we didn't have to lift a finger. That alone lifted a massive weight off our shoulders. And the icing on the cake? He finished the entire project ahead of the estimated timeline, without ever cutting corners on quality or care. If you're on the fence about a big build like this, let us save you the trouble: call Mike. He turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one we're genuinely grateful for, and the final result speaks for itself. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

Mike applies his experience well with smart changes to the plans that we wouldn't have thought of, and was flexible when we had questions or changes to make. Overall we're very happy with Mike as a contractor and with the completed addition!

When we first met with Matt, he was extremely attentive to what we wanted done and offered suggestions on how to improve our ideas. Out of all the people we had met with, we knew we wanted to go with Matt and South Bay Renovations because Matt conducted himself in a  friendly and professional manner and clearly knew what he was talking about. When Matt's team began work at our condo, they made it so easy to maintain day to day life as my husband works from home, and were very considerate and conscientious. Often times they left our condo cleaner than they found it. Matt's team is very friendly and hard working. Matt himself often came by to check on the progress and oversaw some of the projects himself. If he wasn't happy with a project or it wasn't up to his quality of standards, he redid the project until it was flawless and he could be proud of the work. If you're looking for any work in the general contracting realm at all, I would 100% recommend South Bay Renovations! Their work is excellent, they are competitively priced, and you know you're paying for quality work. Matt treats each customer as a priority. From my very first meeting with Elena, I felt comfortable and confident. They were able to accommodate my requested start date and handled all the preconstruction details including permits and inspections. Elena guided me throughout the design process and worked closely with me to make sure I was happy with my choices. Their workmanship and attention to detail were top notch and they were very respectful of my property, as well as my privacy. Their crew was extremely talented, and Dmitry was very hands on and knowledgeable. As with any remodel, there were a few small surprises, but Pulsar came up with solutions and made any alterations necessary. I truly appreciated their clear and frequent communication, weekly updates, and budget progress reports. I will definitely work with them again on future projects.

I say "with" because they both were absolutely with us every step of the way. The schedule and commitment they made with us was as equally important to them as it was to us. We had some hiccups. No project that I've ever been involved with goes without a hitch. And our house was built in 1963, and the kitchen was last updated in 1992. So there were a lot of challenges to be met and issues to be dealt with as the kitchen went down to the studs. But Elena is a master project and business manager. And Dmitry is actual an artisan, with a team of very skilled people at the ready to do the work and handle the problems. Even when we had issues with the vendors for the appliances, Elena stepped in and worked the white spaces, smoothing over the issues and getting everyone back on track. Dmity himself literally built custom solutions real time at the work site. We had several challenges because of the way the house was initially built, and he overcame them one by one with creative solutions that were not simply kluges but are now permanent fixes that passed ALL Final Inspections. Which brings me to another point: Dmitry did all the plans for submittal to the city, and Elena submitted all the plans and permit requests, interfaced with the city for all inspections, and gave us copies of all the final inspections and permit information for our files. We paid for those services, and I will tell you it was well worth it. It bears noting that we lived in the house the entire time the work was being done, except for the 12 days when we were on vacation out of the country. Pulsar kept working the whole time we were gone, safeguarding our home, and keeping us in the loop even though we were eight hours ahead. Pulsar was not our least expensive bid. But we made the decision early on that we would not cut corners on this job. We are very grateful to have found Dmity and Elena. They were easy to work with, had respect for our property and our schedule and our budget as much as possible, and never made us feel sorry about choosing to with them. I recommend you choose them, too!#

I was feeling discouraged and frustrated. I happened to stop by Setai on my way back from another place. It was my last resort before DIYing butcher block. George was an absolute godsend. He treated me so respectfully, asked me questions and when I didn't have answers (because I am absolutely clueless about countertops) he asked simpler questions that got his answers. Due to the fact that my job was so small, it was more cost effective to choose from remnants, which I was fine with. He took me to his stack and patiently dug through. Measured & advised. I didn't take long as I already knew what I wanted and honestly, wasn't being too picky about it (it's for an office space). I asked about install & he gave me a date just a few days later! He called the day before to confirm. He called the morning of to let me know he will give me an eta. His consistency was impeccable. Frankie showed up on time. There was a slight issue with my countertops going flush against my cabinets. Instead of making it an issue he said "I will figure it out". If there isn't anything in my soul that makes me happier than a person that sees a problem and finds a solution. That, right there, is an amazing installer. Any other person would've been annoying about it. He figured it out & the outcome is beautiful. He was fast & efficient. He cleaned up after himself. I wish I had found them sooner. It would've saved me weeks of stress and frustration. I will keep them in mind when we renovate our kitchen & if anyone asks for kitchen & bath recommendations. They are amazing & seeing their work here I would've felt intimidated even asking them to do my little sink area. Every person in that office was so friendly & kind. Thank you for such a great experience!

Alex was quick with his reply and we arranged to meet at my home on the 4th of July, and he arrived exactly on time. At first, it took a few moments to catch on to his accent. This very pleasant handyman is formerly a Russian, and he is perfectly happy to be alive and working in the home of the brave. In he walked, very confident, with a fairly lrge satchel full of assorted tools. I brought him to the site of the offending troublesome valve and he set to work on it at once. In what was probably less than 20 minutes, he had the toilet flushing perfectly, at least 4 times, allowing a fill each time. Congratulations Alex! QUALITY: One cannot argue with success. The job was handled properly, promptly, with hardly a word spoken. At one point, he wanted to draw my attention to a part, and when he wasn't able to say it, he apparently tooked it up and showed me the translated word on his phone. Clever, this fellow, quick and clever. VALUE: Alex had agreed with me in advance regarding the fee. He was on time, friendly, professional, and immediately went into the crawl space to perform a thorough inspection. I was impressed that I received a detailed proposal the very same day. The biggest reason I chose Sunshine Builders was the quality of Jon's inspection. He was the only contractor who identified sagging floor joists in my living room, which likely explained the squeaking floors I had been hearing. He documented the issue with photos and recommended the appropriate repairs, giving me confidence that he was looking out for the long-term integrity of my home--not just trying to sell a standard retrofit. Throughout the entire process, Jon kept me informed every step of the way, from permitting and plan check to scheduling the installation. The contractor arrived prepared with all the required paperwork, met with the City inspector, and ensured the inspection was completed without any issues. Jon made an outstanding first impression and represented Sunshine Foundation Repairs exceptionally well. His thorough inspection, attention to detail, clear communication, and guidance throughout the entire process are the reasons why I chose Sunshine Foundation Repairs I would highly recommend them. We began our Culver City project with a plan to renovate our existing three-bedroom, one-bath home and convert our garage into an ADU. What started as a 325-square-foot garage ultimately became a beautifully designed 705-square-foot one-bedroom ADU. Throughout the process, EG's consistently exceeded our expectations. The quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding, but equally impressive was the team's communication and guidance. Their insights helped us make smart decisions that balanced our budget with our desire for thoughtful design and high-quality materials. As the project neared completion, our confidence in the partnership led us to take on an additional phase--adding flexible living space to the existing home. Technically a JADU, this unique addition transformed our front home into a four-bedroom, two-bath residence, while also creating the option to close off the rear portion and generate rental income in the future. None of this would have come together without the collaborative approach of Eric, the owner, and the entire EG's team. Their professionalism, creativity, and commitment to doing things the right way made a complex project enjoyable and successful. A special thank you to Eric, Andy, Oscar, Lalo, Abner, Uriel, and Hugo, along with all of the expert partner contractors who contributed to bringing our vision to life. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend EG's Built Construction to anyone looking for a team that combines quality craftsmanship with integrity, communication, and true partnership.
