But one fine day out of the blue we noticed a crack in the windshield of our 2015 Subaru. It looked like an impact from a pebble that spread diagonally upward about a foot long. We called our insurance company on May 1, confirmed our glass coverage, and were offered the option to choose our own repair vendor or go through them and their relationship with Safelite. We chose the latter and were scheduled for the windshield replacement on May 7. After that, communication was never a problem with Safelite. They contacted us through seven e-mails and twelve texts with (imbedded document links) over the next ten days. The communications covered appointment confirmations, confirmation requests, reminders, one appointment change, completion notification, bill review, and a certificate of re-calibration for the windshield related electronics, cameras, etc. We dropped the car off on May 11 and were given the option to hang out in their K-Cup equipped waiting room or come back later. The estimated time period for the work was 2-3 hours. We decided to leave the car and went to lunch at Parkville Market. About an hour later, they texted us and said the work was completed. Our technician, Benjamin, was professional, helpful, and friendly. Safelite took good care of us.

I did miss their call but they only tried me once the day before but never notified me my apt was canceled until I arrived for my windshield replacement. They said I didn't book enough time and that because I was paying in person I needed to confirm by speaking to someone6. Fine. I tried to schedule again for later that same day and was able to do online. When I went to call THEM to confirm before going back I got an AI agent and then a national agent who had to then call the local site to confirm. Well guess what? They said they couldn't honor the new appointment time because they were short staffed for the weekend. Ugh. I rescheduled 2 weeks later. Appointment was at 9 am and was told it would be 3 hours. My car took 6+ hours and no body contacted me once the 3 hour window was over. I had to once again call the AI agent to request an update on my car. So instead of noon like I was promised my car still wasnt ready at 3. When I arrived at 3:15 my car still wasnt ready and they said it would be ANOTHEr 20 minutes. Awful customer service. Very frustrating company and I dont recommend this location.at ALL.

These people take short cuts and have little regard for the customer. They removed and reinstalled…read moremy windshield and did not use the appropriate gasket when they reinstalled it. It was much wider and thicker than the original and it was not even installed properly. It was flailing and detached so that water was seeping down into the metal around the windshield. I went back to them and spoke with a worker called Aiden. The solution Aiden had was to add tons of glue. I also asked him why they didn't use the same type of gasket as previously and he did not have an answer for me. I assumed it was a Made-in-China product like so many other things now-a-days and that the original gasket was no longer available. Shortly after, I noticed that other areas of the gasket were loose. I ended up bringing it to someone else. Because of all the glue Aiden had applied, when the new shop took the windshield out, it broke at the last tug. And, they said the wrong gasket was used. Indeed, the correct gasket is still available, which is what Wolf Autoglass installed. All I can say is wow. How are places like this still in business? I went back yet another time to get a copy of the invoice. Rich Bouleau, the owner said he could not give me a copy of it, because he was subcontracted to do the job by Strong's Autocare. He further explained that Strong's was the customer, not me, even though I am the one that hired him to do this job in conjunction with the work that Strong's was doing. Also, he said the gasket they used is a universal gasket. Thank you, Mr. Bouleau for your total lack of pride in the work coming out of your shop and disregard for the customer and their vehicle. This shop is a low-quality establishment and their work is of little to no value, in my experience.

Long Appreciation Post…read more A couple weeks ago, I was rear ended on 91 by a hit and run driver who did not brake for the stopped traffic. I am extremely grateful for my Ford Explorer for keeping me safe and being able to walk away without injury. In need of a whole new back end of my Explorer, I chose Johnson's Auto Body in Tolland to repair my car because of a positive referral. I cannot express HOW INCREDIBLE they were!!! Renee, who works the office, was AN ABSOLUTE ANGEL and walked me through the entire process. She was genuinely empathtic and consistently reassured me that "I, and my Explorer, are in very good hands" and that "I was going to get it back and it'll look like nothing ever happened." She sent me a text message every day with an update on the car, insurance or just to see how I was doing and feeling. Sure enough, I got my Explorer back and it looks PERFECT!! If you are ever in need of any body work, PLEASE consider this amazing, small business. He told me it was probably the residual water from the tests they ran but if I wanted, I could bring my car back in for him to check it out. A week after dropping it off I asked how much longer it would be and they hadn't even touched my car yet. At that point I needed my car to get to work so I picked it up and didn't have the time or money to bring it in for a third time. They never pulled up the carpet to see the source of the leak... They were courteous, respectful, very quick and thorough. They repaired my Subaru, worked with the insurance company ( the value of the quote) and made it look as if nothing had happened to it. They even detailed inside of my car and replaced the cover on the driver side seat that I told them that would pay out of pocket for because it was not part of the accident but they fixed it anyways with no charge. Steven Litwin is the shop Foreman and handled everything professionally and was very pleasant to work with. I hope my car is never damaged again but if it is it will only go to Steben's.
