Simple repairs, took the company an hour of labor. I was charged 450 dollars for that, in which the company charged me 325 dollars to change the faucet, and that took the plumber under 10 minutes. I highly recommend whoever is using this company to get an estimate before having them do anything, I assumed it would be on the average price range for that service, but I was wrong. I felt like they took advantage of the situation, and when I contacted the company he just explained that this was the service price, unrelated to hours of work, affirming that it was fast because it was efficient and asked me "What exactly are you wanting?" Also, I had to request them to return the faucet they removed and took with them, to dispose of it, they said. I just upgraded to a new one but the one they removed was perfectly fine and I wanted to keep it. At least they brought that one back the next day. Besides all that you would expect the seal at least to sit centered to sink recess, specially for the price charged for the service and the Master Plumbing nomination that they give themselves.

Here's the story: Met with Andrew twice in early November to walk him through a number of things I was looking to get done to an old house I purchased. Moving water/drains, hot water heater, gas, etc. Andrew seemed like a great guy at the time, down to earth, confident he could get all the work done in a timely manner. I've never misread someone so badly. I sent Andrew half the total cost of the project on November 13th for materials and to get started on the work, with the rest to be paid upon completion of the work. He said he'd be getting started that weekend on the project. Instead, it turned out to be one excuse after another about why he never showed up when promised to do the work. He became increasingly difficult to get a hold of. He stopped answering my phone calls, always promised via text to call me back later, and never did. This continued for two months until early January. In order to get a hold of him, I had to call from google voice numbers he didn't have. On Friday, January 10th, I finally got a hold of someone (I believe his wife) and told them I did NOT want him performing any work and asked for my money back. I was told he would return the materials the following Monday (Jan 13th) and would get a refund a few days later. That turned into "no later than Wednesday (Jan 22nd)". It's now Jan 31st, I still don't have the money returned to me, hence the legal action against Andrew. To sum it all up, Andrew repeatedly lied to me about starting work, calling me back, his plumbing license (it's expired), pulling permits for the job, sending me any kind of documentation, and now he's literally stolen my money. He left the old hot water heater in my attic because he was alone that day and needed help to take it out. After having to call them from my google voice number to answer (which was extremely shady in its own right) I finally got him to come back out and at that time asked him when someone would be coming to inspect. He said "pulling a permit is not a problem. I'll handle it soon." And it is easy to pull a permit if you're a licensed plumber, BUT ANDREW IS NOT. So he tells me his license had expired, and he was going to get everything fixed and that I'd get my permit. But even after multiple heated calls, that day never came. Eventually, by October 20th, I had to get another plumbing service, Legacy Plumbing, to come look at the hot water heater. At first glance, their plumber told me that the work would have never passed inspection anyway. So, I gladly paid them about $550 dollars to fix the work. 2 days later, I had the inspector in my house and we had passed inspection. I disputed charges from Planet Earth Plumbing with my CC company and I'm filing a complaint with the Texas State Board of Plumbing. The service Technician Austin, gave me a coupon to use with one of their preferred service plumbers. I was like whatever! Home warranty company denied the claim because it wasn't normal wear and tear. They %$&*! Just wished I had a license plate to pin to it! As it turns out the guy from the Choice Home Warranty was awesome, and quoted me his price. $600. With the knowledge, and coupon (20% off, from Atmos), I was able to get Princeton Plumbing to do the same job for $400. That is a great savings!!!! Princeton Plumbing came out, quickly, assessed the needs of my gas leak, and quickly pulled the necessary permits. The City of McKinney was slow to do their thing here! Go figure, and it was the weekend.....Days pass! Princeton, once issued the permits, corrected my issues, and again we awaited the inspector from McKinney. Sigh! Finally we got the go ahead, and Princeton Plumbing jumped back into action to hooked me back up to the main. Woo hoo! They quickly advised me to schedule the return of service, removal of the lock... To get my gas turned back on. Atmos was here within the hour and was outstanding to get everything going! Gotta love that service! The Service guy stated that this was a major problem with meters near driveways. Can't agree more! He lite all pilot lights and made sure the cooktop was clear of air in the lines. Super service from Atmos! They are all about consumer safety! Atmos was pretty good through the whole deal! Minor complaints....I feel they could have fixed my side and prorated it out over several months to reduce the burden on my budget. Not an option! All, in all, I was without gas, and dealing with cold water, for 7 days. I was super unhappy, but Hey! I drive my bus! (see the Book, " The Energy Bus!"). It will change your life!
