I moved into a foreclosed home with a pool that had been sitting open under acres of trees for 4-5 yrs. The previous owners didn't winterize the pool or cover it. I seriously had a swamp! Thick with jello-y frog slime, frogs, newts, snakes and every other biology project you could think of. My filter, pump, frogger and some above ground piping was visibly cracked/broken. Without a ton of money, I was determined to get this pool opened and turn it into a beautiful chemistry project! To make it more interesting, I was doing this without purchasing a new filter or equipment! The Newburgh team directed me almost daily on how to get my pool open with the least amount of chemicals. I was encouraged to purchase a new filter, because obviously this would make it go 1000x quicker, but I was NEVER pushed. Eventually, I did get another filter and ended up removing my broken frogger equipment. Fast forward many hours of scooping soggy nasty leaves, frogs, newts, etc. Cleaning my filter every 30 mins for months (rain, shine and snow), I now have a beautiful clear blue pool!!! They believed in my biology/chemistry project! Oh... and if they hadn't already spent enough time with me,?! They brought my son on the other side of the counter and taught him how to properly balance the pool! Thank you Newburgh Royal Pools and Spa!!!

They hired a sub contractor that punctured the liner behind the new light that was installed. From the date of installation there was a leak for five straight weeks. They had this company come back and the installer stated the leak was coming from the screw to the skimmer. When I asked how did they know without checking he advised me that they used short screws, because they did not have longer screws! I insisted after two days they come back and check because the pool was still leaking. A diving company came to inspect for leaks, to find a hole behind the light. They had to come twice to patch up the hole. Meanwhile the pool was still leaking. I want monetary compensation for payment for the water company and having to run my water from my home for five weeks. They offered as compensation $250 in supplies!! I paid more than that maintaining the pool water for five weeks. They keep passing me around trying not to compensate me. The liner looks good, I paid over $10k to have it installed only to add the water fee from the company and there is not telling what my water bill will be. Do your homework before using this company!!!!!

Most of them came in around the same price. However, Carlos was the only one who came out for the estimate immediately and the the only one who got back to is promptly, which I appreciated. Approximately three months after completion, the pool still had not passed final inspection. The company handled the permit and communications with the inspector. When the final inspection failed, they forwarded the report to me, and told me to take care of those things. Instead of actively resolving the outstanding requirements. Mind you I have no idea how to get most of these things done, since I am not a contractor and I never had to deal with these things and from the beginning they were taking of the permit and what was needed for inspection. I have never even met the inspector even once. And I had no idea from the beginning those things were going to be needed to passed and close the permit. Now I have a survey open, they got paid all their money because I didn't even know these things were gonna be needed. They block my number and they are not responding to emails. I paid 125k total for a pool. I was told that everything was going to be handle by them from start to finish. Now my only option is to take them to small court claims and that's exactly what I will do. Shame on them. Do not use them. If you do please make sure they told you everything and put it on paper. What will be needed to get the permit and close the permit. I didn't know so I didn't asked and those things were never mentioned. He make sure he gets all his money before telling me about final inspection.

My property runs on a slight grade, I was worried about damage to the lawn from the trucks/Bobcat. However, upon completion I could barely tell that they were there (except for the pool:)). They even helped me out with leveling a fire pit project I was working on. Also my 9 year old daughter got a brief lesson operating a Bobcat, big thrill for her. Overall I'm very happy with work and price. I first checked with Royal pools, Pool FX was almost $2000 below Royals price.

I scheduled an appointment for someone to come out to give an estimate and they arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and pricing was about average (maybe a tad higher). I did feel there was a little bit of a push to purchase a new liner, but I'm sure that's how they make a lot of their money. Anyhow, I ended up repairing and cleaning the pool on my own. The liner is ripped, but I used a patch and called it a day (for now). A few weeks later, I received a follow up call to see if I'd be using them. Customer service was great! When I'm ready for a liner (likely within a couple years), I will call Kory's pools for an updated estimate and hope they're in the price range I'm looking for. ZERO complaints! It's very difficult finding service people who keep their appointments and are nice.

Kory Pools has a message that says you will get a faster response when you send a text. I sent a text asking about their price to close the pool, when they could do it and what will they do. Several days later I received a text stating how much they charge. Kory promised to send a list of what they do when closing a pool but never did. I sent a second text asking when could they come and close the pool. Kory replied on Tuesday October 6th. I waited all day and Kory Pools never showed up nor they call or text me that they weren't coming to close the pool. This is absolutely the worst pool service I've ever dealt with. I will find another pool service to close my pool. I highly recommend that you do not use this pool company.
