The issue was that our recessed bedroom lights would not fully turn off (they still had a glow even when switched off). He came out, looked at it, and said we needed new switches. He replaced the switches (a very simple job, that I could do) told us the problem was likely fixed, and charged $325 for about 20 minutes of work. Obviously ripping me off despite a past relationship. I paid knowing I'd never do business with him again. Since it was the middle of the day, it was hard to fully test the lighting, but we trusted him. Before leaving, he specifically said that if there was still an issue, he would come back and fix it for free. The problem was not fixed! When we called him back and told him the lights still glowed, we asked him to either fix the actual problem or put our original switches back. He refused. After a back-and-forth, he only refunded $75 and never returned to fix anything. So in the end, we paid $250 for switches we did not need, and the original problem still exists. Very disappointing experience. We trusted him because of prior family referrals, and that trust was completely lost. Would never recommend doing business with someone like this. An absolute fraud! Since yelp can't let me respond to the owners comment: here it is. You charged me $250 for nothing!!!!! You said you would come back and fix the issue if it didn't work! FACTS!!!!!
