BK Electric came out within a few days to take a look and give an estimate. I had received a lot of estimates for this project and BK Electric was in the lower middle range of the prices I got. Scheduling: This was honestly a nightmare. After I signed the contract and put down a deposit they scheduled me on a day for the following week. This outlet installation was required to be completed prior to a Costco purchased microwave delivery and installation appointment. They cancelled on me and needed to reschedule 3 separate times. Each time I was only notified the day of the scheduled appointment. This caused the follow on Costco microwave installation appointment to need to be rescheduled each time. To be fair to the person in the office, Eli, it wasn't his fault and he was properly scheduling and doing his best to get the electricians out to do the job. It was the electrians who either were calling out that day or last minute going to "higher priority" job sites. However, for the BK Electric as a whole, this is pretty terrible customer service. Work: The quality of the work seemed good. Where and how the ran the line and the junction box with the outlet installation all seemed cleanly done. However, there was an issue where they did not install a GFCI outlet in the new location that required it. This delayed the microwave installation since the Costco installers refused to install without a GFCI outlet. I had to call BK Electric and have them come back and fix it.

I had provided image and video of the circuit panel and confirmed that the electrician would show up on site with the replacement part -- electrician arrived without part. No estimate was provided, the electrician went offsite, purchased the part, returned much later, and resolved the issue quickly. I mean, it was just a circuit replacement -- the actual approval request and estimate was sent 3 days after job completion. 3 weeks after the job was completed I'm asked by Mike why I haven't approved the job, and why I haven't paid, when this is the first time I received a payment link! When I asked Mike why I wasn't given an estimate and approval request prior to job completion he said the onus is on the customer to request, again, or the electrician assumes approval and proceeds. Price was discounted as a result. So, in summary, good at a simple repair, really poor communication to understand a client's problem with most of the emphasis on what time slot are you available for the electrician to get onsite and start charging you.

As soon as the two electricians came by, they got to work by taking the fan up into the attic, finding a good enough power source to create an additional line, and were finished within an hour or so. They were all business, in and out, very efficient. Not very personable, but they did communicate their efforts without running into any difficulties. Definitely Experienced electricians. I would surely recommend this business if you need something installed --and don't want to go through the business of wasting a morning talking to someone else, who will charge you more. I contacted Prime Electric regarding a recurring issue with an electrical outlet that trips every…read moretwo hours. What started as a simple service request quickly turned into a frustrating and costly experience that ultimately left the original problem unresolved and far worse. The pressure to make an appointment was made immediately when I first called, little did I know, this was just the beginning of my terrible experience. I was assured over the phone that I could make an appointment and cancel at any time, only find out that there is a $99 fee, effectively locking me in. That alone set the tone for this downward spiral. When the technician arrived, the visit lasted approximately 15 minutes. No meaningful diagnostic process or repair was performed. I was led to believe they would install a dedicated circuit to properly address the issue, but instead I was told they supposedly "reconnected a loose wire." For this minimal effort, I was charged $450. The same day, the outlet tripped again, exactly as it had before. When I called to get help and tell them the outlet tripped again, they literally told me to press the reset button. I cannot believe they actually told me reset it when my original problem is that I have to constantly reset my outlet because there is a ground fault causing it to trip. I am posting a photo of the $450 troubleshoot estimate that does not disclose any details about the project that they basically tricked us into signing. If you work with this company, do yourself a favor and DO NOT SIGN. You can see for yourself they left the estimate blank intentionally to not actually bind them to any work. There was never any proof of repair, or proof of any problem that they were troubleshooting. When I called and expressed my concerns, the heartless owner basically shrugged off my concerns and told me if the technician had to return, it would be another $350 charge because it is a separate issue. This is quite unbelievable the amount of greed and lack of caring this company has for its customers. They do not care if the customer is satisfied and their only goal is to extract as much money from you as possible. I was told that if a technician returned, it would cost an additional $350 because it would be considered a "separate issue." There was no accountability, no attempt to stand behind their work, and no concern for resolving the problem they were hired to fix. What's worse is the ongoing experience after the visit. Despite delivering ineffective service, they continued to call and solicit additional work like telemarketers. Meanwhile, when I attempted to schedule a follow-up to actually resolve the original issue, it became difficult to even secure an appointment--as if my prior experience didn't matter. Their so-called guarantee is meaningless. Their communication is inconsistent. Their priorities are clear: maximize charges, minimize effort, and move on. I'm now left with a $450 bill, lost time coordinating around their schedule, and the exact same electrical issue I started with. This experience reflects a complete lack of professionalism, technical integrity, and customer care. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. Their guarantee is worthless, their word is worthless, and now I'm stuck with a $450 bill, hours of time, effort and planning my office operations around their schedule and I still have my original problem left unresolved. These guys are great! We had four recessed lights and 2 chandeliers installed. There had been a…read moreproblem with the wiring of the recessed lights, and that had to be addressed before the actual installation of the new ones. In addition, the old-style lights and their housing had to be adjusted for the new ones to fit. Amazingly, Alejandro did the job (4 recessed lights, wiring repair, carpentry to change the housing, and two chandeliers) in approximately half a day. Everything worked perfectly, the floors and house were spotless when he left, and all questions were answered. Very efficient and professional. We couldn't be more pleased. Two days later, Miguel came by to do the final patching up and painting. Again, the work was done professionally and with total competence. Perfect clean-up afterward. Kudos also go to Alvaro, the supervisor of the job. This is not the first time we've used ADI Electric, and we have been perfectly satisfied each time.
