Kimberly also advised me on which color I should get based on other colors in my living room.

I had called several other places and none of them were as practical as these guys. As soon as the two electricians came by, they got to work by taking the fan up into the attic, finding a good enough power source to create an additional line, and were finished within an hour or so. They were all business, in and out, very efficient. Not very personable, but they did communicate their efforts without running into any difficulties. Definitely Experienced electricians. I would surely recommend this business if you need something installed --and don't want to go through the business of wasting a morning talking to someone else, who will charge you more. Nice job guys!

I exchanged the lampshade 2 times and both times the owners Alex and his wife Agnes were utterly professional, understanding and apologetic, explaining that the damage sometimes occurs in shipping. Prior to purchasing the lampshades, they encouraged me to bring in the lamps to decide the proper size and were so kind, helpful and patient in assisting me with the perfect lampshade. I have been coming here since then for all of my lighting needs and recently had 2 lamps repaired. Alex was very knowledgeable and thorough and recommended changing the outdated and unsafe electrical cord on 1 of the lamps. He repaired both lamps quickly and charged fairly. I highly recommend Lighting World and look forward to working with their son Kris, an electrician, for some electrical needs.

Steve answered my call on a Saturday morning and was over within a couple hours. He took the time to really investigate the problem and found a burned connection inside the AC disconnect that everyone else had missed. He made a temporary repair to get my AC safely running again while we wait for the replacement disconnect, and after running for hours in 100+ degree weather, the breaker hasn't tripped once. Knowledgeable, thorough, and actually took the time to find the root cause instead of guessing and replacing parts. Highly recommend!

Victor at Hye Lighting made my experience with lighting repair a breath of fresh air. I have…read moresconces that I thought I could repair myself by buying the crystals online. Even though I had measured, they did not fit when I tried to attach them. I headed into Hye Lighting and Victor immediately attended to me and fixed the crystals. I later found another missing crystal I had missed and went back to Hye again. Victor and his assistant searched high and low for the one last missing Swarovski crystal and sure enough they found one in their stash the exact size. Victor was a lifesaver and the fact that this store has so many supplies on hand to fix anything really makes them a hidden gem. Just when I thought me and the Internet could do it all, this amazing little shop proves nothing beats a brick and mortar store with owners that have extensive knowledge, inventory, and good old-fashioned service. Please support the stores we can still walk in because if we don't, getting help without losing money on Internet purchases will be a thing of the past. I could not return the crystal parts I had bought online, so I donated them to Victor. I highly recommend Hye for lighting purchases and repairs. On another note, some lights I had on columns faded years ago. Even back then, they took every light and spray painted them black. 10 years later and my column lights have never faded. Hye lighting is a much needed local store that goes above and beyond time and time again.

Thousand Oaks Location: 620 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360…read more Very poor business practice. Stay away. I purchased over $ 150.00 worth of spotlights and bulbs, and 4 of the bulbs (one was broken in the box) had the wrong lumens and didn't look good in my home. They were amber-looking when I told the clerk I wanted cool white. I tried to return the 4 bulbs the next day and was initially told that they don't accept returns. Unbelievable. Then I was reluctantly offered a store credit. The clerk's demeanor and arrogance were appalling. I was told that it's the owner's policy. I don't believe him. This policy is not posted anywhere, nor was I told that this was a final sale. We will never buy from this store again. There is nothing proprietary about these light bulbs, and they are readily available at a lesser price online, in Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, etc. I tried patronizing a local vendor in Thousand Oaks. They did nothing but leave a bad taste in my mouth. I guess that's what I get for trying to support local business. Never again for this store. Stay away.

I have never been so excited to write a review...and without being asked or begged…read more I honestly cannot say enough good things about Rudy and this company. If all contractors communicated the way Rudy does, half of the world's problems would probably be solved (ok, slight hyperbole). From start to finish, Rudy was incredibly communicative, knowledgeable, professional, and transparent. He let me know when he was heading to my house, when he arrived on the property, and when he left. I never had to wonder whether he was coming or if I had been ghosted by yet another contractor. He kept every appointment and did exactly what he said he was going to do. Apparently, this level of reliability does still exist! He was also extremely respectful and as another Yelper mentioned, never pushy about upselling me. He listened to what I wanted, worked with me, and offered ideas about what would look best in my backyard. I felt like I was getting genuine advice rather than a sales pitch. There are maybe one or two other people I've hired over the years whom I would gleefully recommend without hesitation. Rudy is now firmly on that very short list. If anyone I know needs bistro lights installed, I wouldn't just recommend him. I'd probably insist. My only complaint is that Rudy doesn't offer more services. I wish he were a roofer, carpenter, electrician, plumber, handyman...hell, at this point, I wish he did everything. I'd hire him for my entire house. Thank you sooooooo much Rudy and team.
