When hiring a contractor, I have a criteria: good communication/expectation setting, honesty,…read morefairness in price, efficiency, and ownership/quality of the work. As a homeowner, it's been surprisingly hard to find contractors that meet my criteria, but Innovations Touch met them all! Although I have larger projects planned in mind, I hired them for some smaller projects to see how they'd do, especially after hearing horror stories of larger renovation projects being handled poorly. My townhouse was built in 1981 and needed some repairs. Innovations Touch installed a custom guard rail at the attic hatch, installed some new window screens, fixed the catwalk in the attic, did some window siding and wall repairs and completed some behind-the-walls plumbing work. During the whole process, they set expectations well, did a great, detailed job of the work, exceeded my expectations, was fair in price relative to the quality of the work and expediency, and even cleared up a slight miscommunication we had very professionally with no ego or attitude. I was very impressed. Given they literally met all of my criteria, I trust them completely now and it feels good to have an "I know a contractor guy" for renovations for myself and others now. I'm still building my "rolodex" for home repairs, renovations, and HVAC, but glad I'm taking one big one off my list.

If I want to put my cabinets together, I would go to IKEA, they are probably the same ones just 1/3…read morethe price. Home Depot has same quality already put together for a lot cheaper. I received them and all were damaged in the same spot. I returned them and was charged a restocking fee for damaged goods. Makes me wonder if they are just going to sell them to another sucker. Definitely would not recommend.

I stressed the importance of needing cabinets quickly. I selected a cabinet line I was promised…read morewould be delivered 2 weeks after order was placed. Later when they were scheduling delivery in Dec 2021, I was told some of my cabinets were on backorder by the Waco warehouse and lied to being told I'd be charged a 15% restocking fee if I didn't accept partial delivery. Mid January I call for an update, and told the cabinets are listed to be available in April and there was nothing they could do. I suggested if we could swap those cabinets with others that were in stock. The salesperson said that wasn't a problem. I'm frustrated I needed to take the initiative to move this order forward. After the cabinets were delivered in February, during assembly, not all the pieces were in the box for my 8 foot panty. There were other issues specific to this line of cabinets that if I had known, might have chosen other options. Anyways, I was directed to contact customer service for further issues instead of the local showroom. That's where the nightmare got worse. CS told me the missing instructions were available online, and the missing pieces, including the 8 foot side panel would be delivered to the store and I had pick up there since I didn't originally pay for delivery. My small car won't fit an 8x2 foot panel. My problem to resolve... again. Later I received an email from CS the 8 foot side panel wasn't in stock with ETA unknown. I was livid... did I order the last 8 foot pantry? Afterwards, Gloria with CS told me my issue was escalated to "urgent" and they would pull from another box the missing pieces. Again, I had to take initiative to progress this. Its now March 2022, I'm still waiting for all my pieces. I've had to explain my situation several times. James with CS told it's being taking care of but then when I called back... nothing. The company, apparently doesn't keep a record of when a customer calls. All these headaches and the company is unwilling to offer any discounts off my purchase because delays aren't their problem, per the small print. It's been 4 weeks since Gloria with CS was made aware of my missing pieces. I'm not even sure if "Gloria" is a real person or just a generic email that several people access because I've had to restate the issue several times to "Gloria". I'm told "I'm sorry, I'm still working towards a solution." Yet I still don't have my cabinets. Avoid dealing with Cabinets to Go, unless you're willing to make concessions and deal with any issues that may come up.
