Three-hour wait, constant false ETAs, and a rude driver (dispatched through Geico)…read more I would not use Superior Towing. We were dispatched through Geico roadside assistance on a Thursday night in the Chicago suburbs. It was raining, but not storming. The tow took 3 hours to arrive, and the updates we got were unreliable: 30 minutes, then an hour and a half, then 45 minutes, and an hour, then 15 minutes, and finally a call saying he'd be there in 10 minutes. It was a full three hours of being told the wrong thing. I completely understand that wait times are NOT the drivers fault. That is dispatch, time, who is available and when. 3 hours was not the towers fault at all plus traffic is always a factor! When the driver finally showed up, my husband handed over the keys so the car could be put in neutral. I didn't know that the keys were passed over for contex. As he started chaining the car, it looked rough and jerky, so I rolled down my window and politely asked, "Would you like us to put it in neutral for you?" He cut me off mid-sentence and snapped, "Ma'am, I've been doing this for 10 years," and said something about being "snappy" and doing his job. His hands were up in the air and his body language read as very frustrated and pissed off. After waiting three hours in the rain, being talked down to for offering help was insulting. He then pulled out the keys I didn't know he had and put the car in neutral himself, which made the whole exchange feel even more pointless and left me feeling terrible. In the end, the car got towed to where we requested. Long wait, no reliable communication, and an unprofessional attitude when we tried to be helpful. This left our night feeling off and hard to shake. Go with another service. 1 star 0 if possible

He put my spare tire on (after I ran over a nail and had a flat) but the spare was low on air, so he didn't want me driving on it, and took the spare to get air, and the tire to a place to get it patched for me, came back and put it on. I thought everything went well until I realized that they damaged my bumper. I called them and they…read morerefuse to take responsibility for what they have done! It all started well enough, but as we were riding down my street, the driver went flying over a speed bump. We flew over it and the car smashed down with a loud thud. The driver stopped to "double check on the car" and to "refasten it" and he didn't mention anything and I didn't think to get out and see if anything had happened. So after all is said and done, I take my car home and I parked, walked behind it and noticed that the bumper had been scrapped and tattered. I immediately contacted John's Towing. They gave me the run around. First John acted like it wasn't him that had driven, or that he wasn't the manager. Then he said he would call me back. Did they? No. I called back today and I got the response that "ma'm go do whatever you'd like, we aren't paying". I filed a police report, talked to my insurance company and will file a complaint with the ICC. This is completely unacceptable. if need be, I am taking this to small claims. I would not have been so mad about the whole situation, had I not spent 800 bucks two weeks ago getting brand new bumpers installed on the car. Then I lost the car key and it hadn't been driven the car at all until John's Towing came to pick the car up. So I know my bumpers were still unscathed and brand new until he wrecked it. I'm furious. My estimate for the damage is $600 bucks because they ended up scrapping and piercing the bumper.

I went with my daughter to pick up her vehicle as it was taken to RB's Towing by the police while…read moreher ex-boyfriend was driving it. When we went to the window and pushed the buzzer, a young lady came to the window. My daughter explained why she was there and the young lady asked for her driver's license and the ISP Tow Report. My daughter gave them both to her. Then, it was discovered that the trooper mistakenly put my daughter's grandmother as the registered owner when she is not. That caused an issue which I can understand. So we went back to my car and my daughter called the police department, explained what happened and we waited for at least a couple of hours for the officer to arrive. He cleared things up and told the folks at RB's the car could be released. Then, my daughter was told by a second woman claiming to be the "manager" that she needed a second form of identification. My daughter got back to the car upset and told me what happened. That upset me because there was no mention of a second form of identification from the first woman. The officer cleared the release because that was all they said they needed, and suddenly once that happened they needed a second form of identification which by the way my daughter did not have. My daughter went through hell the night before, her vehicle was taken from her and wound up in one of the worst tow yards ever!!! She's lucky to have her life, let alone her license. No where does it say you need two forms of identification; a driver's license is required. I took photos of every sign they have, and the website is lacking tow information which is not surprising. These folks are trying to hustle us and I am livid!!! I call it as I see it and I call BS!! It's Friday and the vehicle will likely stay at least one day (one day too many) and these people are SCAMMING!!! I am a manager and that's not how you conduct business at all. You collect money honestly and with integrity and treat people fair. The second woman was smug, condescending and a con artist playing "manager". People are already at their mercy because they have the vehicle but they really want to take it a step further by robbing you of your hard earned money. If your car is towed there, you don't have control of that. But, I warn you not to use any other service because their integrity is shoddy. They deserve ZERO stars. They need to be and will be reported.

I unfortunately had my vehicle stolen from where I live at and due to the proximity from the Police…read morestation to this tow yard, this is where my vehicle was taken to and if I can recommend anything to anyone, it's not to use this tow yard if you have any issues with your vehicle or if you have a say so in the matter. To start off, my vehicle was stolen sometime in the early hours of Sunday morning (from what the police said) and found in Markham at a random address and was taken to this tow yard and when I arrived to the yard with my police report in hand, I was told I wasn't allowed to even see my car, nor retrieve any items out of it unless I paid the initial $300 tow fee. Excuse me, what? Typically, at least in the city of Chicago, if your car is stolen and found and brought to a tow yard, you're able to retrieve your vehicle at no cost to the owner since it was STOLEN. Not only was I not allowed to see my cars condition without paying that fee, but I had to pay an additional $160 for the storage fee of a day and maybe a few hours, plus for someone to assist with me retrieving my vehicle OUT of the tow yard. However, I actually physically drove my own vehicle out of the tow yard on my own. The only thing that I can say was "pleasant," was the guy gave me a small USB cord to start my car to drive it out, but even then, nobody drove it out for me and I wanted to know what condition my vehicle was in prior to paying the fee, because if it wasn't drivable or anything, why would I pay $300 just to look at it and grab my items from my trunk and such? That didn't make any sense to me and I felt like the guy thought I was this sorry girl who didn't have a clue, but news flash, I'm not an idiot and I could tell I was being scammed. Also, how dare you charge someone to retrieve their vehicle after it was stolen and ripped to shreds. That is HORRIBLE business and I never wish this upon anyone. Even after everything I was dealing with because of this ordeal, I was kind and courteous to the workers and they still charged me a total of $460 + $10 in service fees for using a debit card. Disgusting.
