They offer the ability to purchase to go by the pound and have a catering menu as well. The buffet itself is not the largest but it hits all the right spots with something for everyone. You can taste the freshness and quality. Usually there's one or two of the family members tending to the dining room bussing tables and filling drinks which is more than enough. The ONLY reason this isn't a five-star review is that I was a little disappointed in the quantity of different dishes offered for a buffet. Maybe my perception is tainted as I was a huge fan of the old Bangkok that was on Harvard in Tulsa and truly miss Pat and his family. That said, what is offered is GREAT, very tasty, and being gluten-free I appreciated that they identified what was off limits for me, which wasn't much. That was part of the reason I stopped here--there aren't a lot of things out there if you have food allergies unfortunately. It's apparent that it's a "cash preferred" place as the credit card machine wasn't working on my visit, but that won't keep me from returning the next time I'm in the area for lunch. read more

I have not seen many Thai buffets. JK's Thai Buffet is one of the few, and it is always welcoming, a small quiet restaurant in the bustling neighborhood of Broken Arrow. Due to being niche in the restaurant market, it also operates at niche hours, Monday - Saturday 11 AM - 2 PM, 5-7 PM. This is a great strategic move to ensure the food is always fresh and not wasting food as it's not busy. For $14.99 a person, it's an AYCE Thai buffet. There are very limited entrees compared to Chinese buffet, 19 entrees to be exact. Most entrees are good, and a few are bad (the Tom Yum Gai and dumplings). The chicken satay, chicken curry, and cucumber salad are great. The banana in coconut milk is also good but adding sticky rice to it makes it divine. As with any buffet, expect some ingredients to be cut back, and the entrees to look very basic. However, the taste of the food won't be compromised. One of my favorite buffets just behind Won and Tandoori Guys. I would highly recommend. Just know that the food tastes better than it looks. read more

Took an opportunity to dine with The Daughter over lunch, and we selected JK's. We're both avid Thai fans and both came away happy. The buffet isn't overly large, but all dishes hit the mark. As with any buffet, the food likely isn't on par with fresh prepared, but again, for a buffet, this one nailed it. I used to go here pretty frequently before the pandemic and this was my first time back in over a year. I hate to say it, but judging from this visit, it's not as good as it used to be. It was at lunch time, and things on the buffet appeared to be fresh but it just didn't taste that great. I'll be trying again, though. Because when it's good (and it normally is), it's REALLY good. The chicken, pot stickers and Pad Thai are the best hot items. The yellow chicken curry is pretty good, too. My favorite thing there is the bananas in coconut milk. I could overdose on that. Winner of Spike's two-star Good Year Award! It was time for some take out Asian and there is not a better place to go in Broken Arrow than to JK's Thai Buffet. I loved the service! Order over the phone, pay over the phone, pull up front and a nice lady brings the fresh hot food out to my car. She is wearing gloves and a mask and the restaurant's most recent Yelp health score is 81! Fantastic! On the ride home, my car was filled with the most delicious aromas of basil garlic and a hint of curry! I couldn't wait to get home and enjoy the fresh hot Thai Garlic Pepper Chicken and the Pad Kee Mao! And, it was fantastic! The most popular dining option is the buffet (which is less than $10/adult all day), but they do also have a menu. I never knew I was a fan of Thai food until I had JK's. This family-owned restaurant is a gem of a restaurant, with fresh, authentic food and friendly service. First, the food is delicious. The buffet may seem small, but each item is a winner. My personal favorites are: 1. The chicken satay - the chicken is never dry, and there's a creamy, peanut sauce for dipping (or dousing). 2. The Thai pork dumplings - each one is a delicious homemade dumpling! 3. The curry puffs - a crispy shell surrounds creamy potato curry. Ahhh, the textural contrast. 4. Tom kha gai - this soup is light but loaded with chicken and mushrooms. There's a perfect balance of lemongrass and coconut. 5. The desserts! - I always eat a lot of the savory dishes, but then I regret it because I don't have enough room for the dessert. Both the bananas in coconut milk and the tapioca in coconut milk are cool, sweet, and creamy. The bananas in coconut milk, especially, is like drinking a tropical vacation. The only downside to having such good food is that some items run out quickly. I've literally seen someone take all the pad Thai in one go. It's kind of irksome to wait for items to be replenished, but the buffet is always quickly restocked, and it's a true testament to how good the food is. Second, the service is super friendly! The workers are always so nice and helpful when I ask for a bowl of rice or sweet chili sauce. My water glass never runs empty, and my mountain of buffet plates never gets too high. They really create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for diners. TL;DR: JK's is one of my favorite restaurants for its delicious food and friendly staff. Found this place on Yelp, and very glad we came! They offer a small but delicious buffet with plenty of fresh items- we couldn't stop eating! And despite coming early (around 5:15) and the dishes being set out, everything tasted wonderful and rivaled any other Thai in town. The small buffet style gets as close to "family style" as possible, where one is not limited to selecting one entree or appetizer. Nice folks, very warm, friendly family restaurant featuring a small Thai bUffet which is a departure from the norm for Thai restaurants. The basics are all represented on the buffet but....it pains me to say the dishes whIle quite fresh are also quite lackluster. The lack of seasonings typical of Thai food strikes you instantly. The Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup) wasn't recognizable as such. Just warm water, slightly curdled coconut milk and no flavor whatsoever. It pains me to write a lackluster review but this was disappointing front to back, but the staff were wonderfully warm. This is one of those places you always mean to try, then when you do, you're like, "Why didn't we do this sooner?" I kept seeing a lot of positive Yelp buzz for this establishment, so we made it a point to try it out. The first thing I was impressed by was the friendliness and courtesy of the wait staff. They greeted us and talked with us, because this was our first visit. They even brought me out some extra spicy mixture to add my food. The buffet is done in small, fresh portions, which is great! The food was hot and you could taste the quality and care that went into each dish. I enjoyed every item that I tried, but to pick a few faves the yellow curry, pad Thai and chicken on a stick were all phenomenal! The price is also amazing for the quality and quantity of food.
