Went in to get 12pc honey bbq party wing. On the phone I was told they were $13. I added on an order of hush puppies and was told my total would be $18. Sounded like a bit much but I didn't say anything. I went to get my order and paid and noticed the prices on the menu said $10.99 for the 12pc party wing honey bbq or buffalo. The hush puppies on the menu were $3.99 yet I was charged $17. I let that part slide as well because I had to be at work . I'm driving to work and decided to eat some of my fries . When I opened my food there was no sauce on my chicken at all or bbq sauce in the bag . I called back and began explaining my whole experience and was cut off from talking and hung up on. He then began to ignore my calls and when he did answer again he said I was the one being rude . He also said that the extra charge was for the sauce , tax and debit card fee( which is illegal, consumers only pay credit card fee not debit) and told me to come back the next day for a remake. Not to mention the building smelled HORRIBLE when I went to get my food so that added to the reason I didn't return . To be honest I was very skeptical about eating here based on the Yelp reviews. However, I was starving and thought I would give it a try. I ordered the catfish dinner. It came with fries and coleslaw. The meal was freshly prepared. I enjoyed the lemon pepper added to the catfish. To be honest the catfish was delicious. The catfish was well seasoned in a corn meal batter. I highly recommend trying this location. I would recommend that the staff tidy up the floors in the dining area is my only recommendation for improvement. read more

For spoiled fish, My family and I visited this location today 4-19-24 Trying to satisfy our appetite, this is not our first visit We have been here almost every time we're in town. Unfortunately not knowing that the ownership has changed! (as mentioned by the cashier ) We brought back our order after having a strong odor of ass filling the atmosphere of our vehicle. The fish tasted horrible. Come to find out that it was spoiled. After driving all the way back to the restaurant to return the order for a refund, we was told that we could not receive one do to the manager not being there, we was told to come back in the morning. WE'RE VISITORS, I responded to the cashier and we need to reach out to the manager tonight! Well she made the call to the manager and I guess they gave her the ok to refund the order, Well you would think that would've been the end of it, she tells us she can only give a partial refund for the fish order, I stated no we would like a full refund for the whole order Reason being We DIDN'T TRUST ANYTHING COMING FROM THE KITCHEN or that has been made by there cook. Well things went left and she stated that we should call the police in a rude manner. Just cause I'm black she thought she could just run me off, by saying she was calling the police. After calling the police and literally lying, making false allegations of us being rude loud and obnoxious, the police comes and tells us that it a civil matter. lol And they JJ Fish wants us to leave the property. The police a Sergeant at that , tells us he can't make them give me back my money, and we should just leave it at that. SMH! After knowing they served us bad spoiled food. I really feel that because of my color of my skin, I couldn't get a proper resolution to my problem. I wasn't the only Customer to bring back their fish order on tonight, me and my whole family bought back our order, And the cashier had the nerve to tell the police officer that we told the customers to bring back there order, when we was all together, the customers she was referring to. I looked them up on yelp before going in to make sure that A: they didn't use peanut oil since most fish places do and B: that they have something that I would eat. Both were a success!! They use 100% pure vegetable oil and advertise it all over the store and they had chicken phillys. I ordered the chicken philly which came with fires and my boyfriend ordered catfish bits with fries. Both of us ordered smalls and the portions were huge. They were the size of a large. The chicken philly cost $6.99 and the car fish bites were $7.99. To be honest great price for the amount of food that you get. The food is made fresh and you can see them make the food. It comes piping hot and tastes amazing. My husband decided to stop for a carry out meal at JJFish and Chicken this evening; he has tried their food once before and enjoyed it very much. Tonight his experience was not as great as the last time as they forgot to put his cole slaw and the lemon he requested in place of the sauce in the bag and gave him the hard end of the bread. I called and spoke with the female manager telling her about the mishap with the lemon and coke sale and her response was not what I expected. She said they do it have lemon and that they do it give coleslaw unless you request it. I told her the cashier did not inform my husband that they had no lemon, but that he still expected coke slaw as it was on the menu as part of the perch meal. She then told me that the customers take the coke slaw out and throw it at them and so they only give it upon request. I responded that , they should ask if the customer wants the coleslaw rather than assume they will special request it. She then got rude when I said he paid for it and expected to have it in the bag.
