I've eaten here three times now and keep returning because so far the consistency is amazing. I've tried the perch, chicken wings and shrimp. The PERCH is the BEST. It's seasoned well and crispy but fresh tasting and so good. It's not spicy, just has a great flavor. The tartar sauce is a bit sweet and I like it! The surprising star is the FRIES - they are crispy and tasty - some of the best around!!! LOVE THEM. The Chicken Wings are also tasty - so much meat on them. They rival most wing places around here and are so good. You can dip them in the sauces they provide - mild or hot - or ask for something else. They are very accommodating. I also like how they do NOT use styrofoam containers for their food - they put it in bags which helps keep it hot still and crispy!!! Nothing gets soggy. There was a Groupon deal online recently and I tried that and used it and it was easy. So TRY THEM OUT!!!!!!! Oh - the shrimp weren't my favorite. I've had much better. Even at fast food joints. But the other food makes up for it. I would also like to just grab some fries next time. I wish they would have fried okra - feel like that would go well there. The jumbo shrimp are awful. They're definitely not jumbo shrimp. It's a lot of breading with a tiny little shrimp inside just terrible. They need to either fix it or take it off the menu. And what little shrimp there was tasted fishy. The owner needs to go to Bob's Shrimp and try what jumbo shrimp truly are! read more

I don't remember the last time I had such delicious fried chicken. We got an order of wings and fries, and an order of dark meat and catfish. The dark was meat was so moist! The wait was a little longer than expected, but it was alright. The football game was on so I wasn't missing much. The food was hot and fresh. This place is going to put other fried chicken places out of business if they keep this up! Very delighted to have such a good chicken place nearby. Only reason it wasn't five stars is because the girl that took our order was indifferent. No pleasantries. Didn't seem to want to be there. Regardless, we'll just be back for the food. read more

The perch pieces were large and I got 3 of them. I didn't know about this place before today but it was amazing! The perch has a nice spice to it and was extremely soft and moist. The jumbo shrimp were actually jumbo!! Awesome portions and very tasty. Mild sauce for the shrimp was crazy good. read more

**DID NOT TRY THE FOOD** Leading off by saying I didn't eat here so this is not a review of the food. I attempted to eat here but wanted to wash my hands/use the bathroom. The food was ok ,it was most definitely made to order three wings and fries and a Pepsi for $13.44 and about 20 minutes. The young lady who took my order and left before my order was complete. I spoke to her briefly and while ordering she asked my name and I asked her for hers, making her become distant. This had to make her feel uncomfortable as she was walked out by the owner who stayed outside until I left. I was never interested in anything but my food and took some offense to their behavior, when I called the owner was unavailable. I have ordered for my family several times. The customer service was great, they answered all my questions and recommended items. The food is cooked FRESH. My family loved the well seasoned catfish and large wings. The jolly sauce is like tangy sweet heat and refreshing in the midst of so much mild sauce. I've visited this restaurant multiple times and each and every time the service and the food has been A1! Always fresh always tasty. They focus on the service and accuracy part of the business. So much so, that during my last visit, the owner thought my order may have been incorrect, and went so far as to contact me to ensure it's accuracy after if already left! I can't say enough good things about this place!!! I ordered 100 pieces of chicken for my son's wedding shower. They sell legs, thighs and wings but I also wanted breast, because it was a wedding shower and although I prefer dark meat a lot of people prefer white meat. I know breast meat is not on their menu so I asked if they would oblige. Not only did they oblige but they hit it out of the park!!! That chicken was awesome and done exactly the time I told them I needed it. This was our first visit, and I'll admit the discount coupon we had was a major influencer to try them. My wife was put off a bit when she noticed the sign on the counter warning that "you will be waiting several minutes for your food" but I asked her "do you want fast fish or good fish?". As to that I don't think we actually waited even 5 minutes after we ordered. My wife is not big on fish, she always puts tartar sauce all over it. BUT she does taste the fillets first. We got the catfish (takeout) and after she sampled a piece, she put her tartar sauce back in the fridge! I had taken Jolly's up on their suggestion to let them add their "lemon pepper blend" seasoning before the breading, and WOW that makes some really good catfish. Yes, everything is breaded fresh here, and cooked to order, nothing "kept under heat lamps her - that is why the wait. The fish is lightly breaded, well fried to make a crisp coating, (extra crispy edges) yet moist and flaky inside. So tender that if you stab a fillet with your fork it just breaks into two pieces. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because I've only tried a few items from the menu. BTW... what I have tried deserves 5 stars. Walked in and noticed that restaurant was very clean. Definitely important for me to consider even ordering. The young lady behind the counter politely greeted my wife and I. Which is a very nice detail many establishments have gotten away from. We ordered 2- 4 piece dark, 6 piece chicken strip and a large order of shrimp as the order was "to go" to feed the family. The food were in containers for about 15 minutes. The includes travel time home and serving. Both the chicken and the shrimp maintained a nice crunch. The seasoning of the breading was delicious. The ratio of breading to protein was perfect. Not to heavy where as you feel your only eating fried dough yet not to light where it's missing texture. The shrimp were jumbo and delicious as well as the chicken. Cooked perfectly, juicy and not greasy. Personally I love crinkle fries so it was nice for me, that is the type of fries they serve which BTW were very good. Some may say "you can't mess up fries" but yes it's possible. These were not soggy, greasy nor hard. Fresh made with a nice texture and seasoning. Make sure you have both mild and hot sauce. Both were great and combined correctly.... YUMMY. Great customer service, friendly people, great food and fairly priced. Give this place a try, you'll only regret not trying it sooner. read more
