I only go to 2 sharks locations, that's this one and the one on 39th n Broadway. I ordered the 30 piece chicken dinner, which came with fries and a 2 liter pop. The food here is always fresh and hot. I've had the fish n shrimp as well, which are also tasty. Satisfied customer. read more

While in the area for work, I had the sudden urge for fried chicken. After getting important feedback from the locals, I was directed to check out Shark's. Now initially I had my doubts since this is a chain, but after having just one bite, I was convinced. While I was there, I ordered the three piece dark meat with fries and the jumbo fried shrimp with fries - as well an order of onion rings for my vegan friend (I know I know slim pickings). The chicken had a very crispy batter that didn't just fall off, rather it clung quite nicely to the meat. More importantly, the dark meat was incredibly juicy and was just perfectly cooked. The same could be said for the shrimp as well. These were definitely jumbo-sized shrimp, and they were by no means overcooked - steaming under that crispy batter. My one complaint would be that both batters were not as flavorful as I would have liked - perhaps a more potent spice mixture?The fries were also seasoned with lemon pepper, a slight modification that made all the difference. I also noticed via a sign that they served fried chicken gizzards - which I regret not having the stomach capacity at that time to also order. All-in-all, Shark's is a solid choice for all the fried chicken lovers out there. One simply has to to aside the fact that it is indeed a chain. You know what? This Sharks is a hit or miss. I like that there by my house so that is cool. But it sometimes they make stuff as they go. The other night I called to place a pick up order and the were only accepting walk ins. I didn't want to wait for my food so I was over it. The service is ok and so is the prices and all but it's definitely not a first choice. read more

I've had the hand battered chicken tenders from Shark's several times in the past few months. I love the flavor of the tenders along with the dipping sauce that's provided. Also the tenders are a fairly good size as I learned when I recently ordered some tenders at WingStop. There was just no comparison. The place does get packed at certain times of the day and the clientele and restaurant are both divey but the tenders are worth the trip. Just call ahead to minimize as much as possible the waiting time. read more

Stay Away...Stay Far Far Away I asked for a large perch dinner fried hard. I received perch that was fried golden and crispy on the outside and half raw on the inside. I mean squishy and gray raw. I'm not even sure how the cook managed it--he must be some kind of magician. Limp french fries, cole slaw that tasted like someone just cut up some cabbage and sprinkled sugar and vinegar (white vinegar not even apple cider vinegar) over it and three slices of stale bread rounded out my feast. Some days it the best fried chicken you will ever have; other days you swear you will never go back again. Completely hit or miss depending on whether or not the staff working that day gives a damn about quality. Last night, for me they didn't. I called my order in and the lady was so quick to over talk me while taking my order she didn't bother to stop and listen to what I wanted. Then naturally when I arrived to pick the order up it was incomplete. Now I had to wait. Another 20 min for them to fix it which means everything else they previously prepared was getting cold. The 3foot y'all cook had an attitude and was throwing food and baskets around like a mad man. This crew was unprofessional and their food product showed it. I really enjoy their jalepeno poppers, fried shrimp, and Philly cheese steak sandwich. Hot and fresh food with good quality. I like how they do not pre-cook their food like most other restaurants do. They had decent prices for quality food. We usually pick up food from here and head to marquette beach. read more

I have a hair stylist nearby I stopped in & I loved the food I am originally from Chicago & there are not many places in the area for GOODFOOD made right. I have returned several times since my 1 st visit I like the chicken, fish the Buffalo wings are better than WlidBW nice size not gummy batter the only drawback I have noticed is in the fries on 1 occasion were not crispy but I let them know & they always make sure.
