Always items missing whenever I choose delivery from this store, then when I call them to ask about said missing items (since that's what the McDonald's app says to do) they always say "you can come get the missing items." Ma'am, if I had my car I would have just picked up the order and not ordered for delivery, it's cheaper that way. Duh!! Place the mobile order through the app about 10:10 AM drive to the restaurant get there at 10:27 drive-through get to the speaker give her my order number she says we don't have none of that stuff you have to cancel your order and breakfast is over at 10:30. I said where is 1029. I placed the order 20 minutes ago. She said well you have to cancel your order. We ain't got none of that stuff so I leave there and go to the portage location. Get the same order no problems everything fresh try to get my neighborhood McDonald's a third fourth try and let me down as usual. The customer service sucks. We ordered a simple cheeseburger happy meal and waited 15 minutes until we got to the pay window. There were two workers present and we were not acknowledged for five minutes, even after I gave a gentle toot on the horn. The female employee continued to count her drawer, while a male worker socialized with her. I pulled ahead to the next window, hoping I would be able to pay up there. Again not acknowledged for 5 minutes. The happy meal was sitting there on the counter. I waved the employee present in the distance. I was given the "hold on" signal. By this time my meal was likely cold. I beeped on the horn was greeted by another employee (perhaps the manager) and told "we are having a shift change." there was no apology for the wait. Having not paid, I drove away. We saw several cars pull around behind us. I cannot be sure but I am assuming that a number of others gave up on paying for and receiving food in a normal and timely manner. read more

Will NEVER go back again!! Had to run to Human Society in Gary so I ordered thru the app (fries, coke & Blue Raspberry Frozen Slushy). Gave the code, pulled to first window, she asks "what flavor slushy ya want"? I responded "I ordered Blue Raspberry, do you not have that one"? Employee says to me "uh ya, that's what said, asked what flavor ya want"? I asked her if they had the red one, she yells to the back to see if they have Red, they must have said yes because she then says "pull ahead". When I go to the next window to pick up the order I'm handed a bag with the fries & a drink holder with a Coke & watered down, melted what was supposed to be a Blue Raspberry Slushy which was what I was told they didn't have, lol. I just can't believe what a difference there is in not just customer service, but even quality of food just from a McDonald's in Valparaiso to the McDonalds in Gary, smh. read more

It was late February 2021 and there wasn't a lot open in Miller Beach, so we ended up here. Service was surprisingly slow for a McDonalds, we had to pull over and wait for a while to get our food. The heralded crispy chicken sandwiches were meh. (I learned that there was no mayonnaise on the crispy chicken sandwich, so I didn't bother to ask if there was any on the *spicy* crispy chicken sandwich -- little did I realize that the way they make it spicy is by adding spicy mayo.) My son rejected his happy meal, complaining that the nuggets didn't taste like real chicken and that there was no broccoli. This McDonald's is the worst when it comes to customer service the females that work in the drive thru have the worst attitudes and don't come here at night time in the drive thru they literally take one customer at a time make you sit at the intercom for more then 15mins to order. One of the best McD's around the tri-state area. Employees are nice. Restrooms are moderately clean for a tinkle. And the chicken nuggets sometimes are actually fish filet cut into smaller sizes, such a fun treat. Will keep returning! read more

We waited about 30 minutes to get my order -- I ordered a McChicken. It was to have lettuce and tarter sauce on it. It had too much tarter sauce and one tiny piece of lettuce. It was so frustrating. I do not know who works there but ??? do not go there. This was the worst McDonalds I have ever been to -- I went there because I was traveling to Indiana Dunes. -- Also, only one person was in the line in front of me. Someone on the cell phone was in the back, not in line. Then, he walked up to me and said he was in line and I got in front of him?????? He was not in the line, back by the wall working on his cell phone. I will never go there again if I drive back to Indiana Dunes. read more

Pay attention to order Details please. first time (9/10/18). My dad/I were traveling to appointments-wanted a quick breakfast. We arrived@ 9:00am, not busy only one person before us in line. My dad ordered hot cakes/bacon. I ordered the McGriddle meal/medium coffee. Unfortunately we got our order sat down & something didn't look right. We ordered for here "eat in"; we received (2) separate "to go" bags. Then No butter or syrup for hot cakes in Dad's bag. I opened my bag-syrup (for his hot cakes) w/McGriddle; but no butter. I returned to counter-politely mentioned "you for got the butter." The employee apologized quickly handing me some butter. My McGriddle/coffee tasted good. This McDonald's has courteous employees. We got what we needed to finish our meal & continue on w/our day. read more

I would love to give this McD's more than two stars, but I'm just not feel'in it. Pros--Always clean, busy, they provide job opportunities to the disadvantaged. Cons--Orders are messed up quite often (4/5 times), long delays at the drive-through, I have often been served sub-par food (fries, pies, nuggets, cheese sticks) that has laid around all day and dried out, their coffee is usually not good. read more

Went through the drive thru tonight to order a Sweet Iced Tea, Two Holiday Pies, and a Caramel Frappe. Well after completing my order I was told the order and then silence, no pull forward or nothing. Go to the window to pay and said Hello, no response. Card was swiped, and handed back I said thank you and was met with more silence. Pulled forward to receive food and no confirmation or greeting was spoken from the girl at that window either. Food was handed to me, I said thank you and she closed the window and turned her back to me. I was willing to let this go, maybe they had a rough night. Covid is affecting everyone different no big deal. But then the order was also wrong! My Tea was not sweet and tasted like pure tap water, my husband only got one Holiday Pie and one random other pie. You would think with all the quietness they could focus on getting the order right. Been coming here for 2 years because I live across the street. Every time there's an issue with my order today I asked for a large tea. Lady at the window turned around poured my small into a large cup she filled almost to the brim with ice. Then proceeded to dump the small into the large cup all the tea from the small cup barely even fit in the large cup made a mess in my car they need to restaff this is horrible service man. Folks need to sweep in the kitchen!!!!! This is a gross establishment. Disgusting looking kitchen. Terrible service. Disgusting toilets. Dirty doors and handles. Rude servers at the windows who give sloppy and messy beverages. Always spillage. And they short you on orange juice, coffee, soda and tea. Open your cup next time and see almost one to two inches short of beverage.
