Great coffee! This place is just as good, if not better than any of the coffee places you'll find in New York. Their medium and dark house blends are equally spectacular. This place also has a very cozy vibe. There's plenty of seating and nice antique looking tables with lamps. Definitely a great place to read a book or use their Wi-Fi. I went here for the first time with my friends and I was extremely disappointed! It was Mocha Monday in which all mochas were the same price. The cashier charged me the full price for a large mocha. And refused to refund me. He would have let me leave without giving me anything but my friend asked him for a free thing. And he only offered a coffee because it "would balance it out". It did not because my bill was $10 and I tipped him a $1 before the whole thing happened. Bad Service!!!!! read more

I love Jittery Joe's coffee! But this place made really bad latte last several times I went. The one in Downtown makes the best latte. I only went to the one in Five points as it is close to my home and work but the coffee has been disappointing. No flavor, just bitter at the end..It is surprising that they make this low level of latte with the same coffee in other branches. read more

I have always been a fan of Jittery Joes ever since they first opened next to the 40 Watt. I have come back time and time again when visiting my folks in Athens, this time in 5 Points. The ambience can't be beat, however, I was quite disappointed the last time I visited, which was today. I asked for a doppio and to my surprise, the barista had NO idea of what I was talking about. This is a coffee shop folks! Know the lingo if you work in one! When I made myself clear, I was served the doppio in a paper cup. Any good barista would know to serve espresso in a demitasse unless otherwise specified. The espresso was blah. I'm with Brittany (see below) on this. Solid performance, Jittery Joe's! There's a location for everyone. They're all different in atmosphere but consistant in quality. The espresso drinks are the best in Athens. The coffee roasts vary depending on my personal taste, but I wouldn't turn my nose up to any of them. The teas aren't fresh (except at the E. Broad location), but they're quality. The staff company wide have always been pleasant. If you're new to Athens I recommend finding the Jittery's that fits your personal taste and setting up camp. read more

Jittery Joe's serves up the best Java in the Classic City. The ambiance is fitting to both students and Athens locals alike. Great for opening a book, catching up with a friend or just a drive-by for your morning or post lunch pick-me-up! I recommend medium roast with 2 pumps of Irish Creme or Creme de Menth syrup. On my gloomy day trip to Athens, I decided I needed something to keep me warm. I stopped by and ordered a chai latte with soy milk. The guys that work there were really nice and friendly. I have never and I use the word never very sparingly had a cup a joe that taste so bad. I have been to 3 different locations to see if it could have been the barista that made my cup and there is a difference between the three locations however all three were something I would not pay a nickel for. Maybe it's that I lived in Portland OR for a while and got spoiled. I go to Walkers instead and it has always been a decent cup a joe. read more

Of all my Jittery Joe's experiences, this location is by far the worst. Other locations have been wonderful, but Jittery Joe's in 5 points is not my cup of joe.. Every time I go in hoping for a good experience, but it never fails to disappoint. The baristas are often rude and act as though serving you is their biggest inconvenience. I have never received a "Hi, how are you?" but instead receive a disgruntled "what?". As well as the poor customer service, the space is not only dirty, but lacks adequate power outlets and limits your internet access to just a couple hours, making this a horrible location to study. Even worse, the baristas really seem to struggle with making a decent latte. I will be bringing my business elsewhere in the future as I have been sincerely disappointed by this location. read more

I went there this afternoon, and I couldn't believe how rude the man behind the counter was. He was working by himself, so perhaps he was having a bad day and needed someone to take it out on, but I couldn't believe his poor attitude. Snapping at customers and trying to belittle them/make them feel stupid is not the way to go when you're working in customer service. Love Jittery Joe's, but I will NOT be returning to this one--even though it's closest to my house--on the slight chance that I might have to see this man behind the counter again. Solid coffee, with a lot of options. I had the Cubano with steamed milk, which is more like a Cafe con Leche. It was $2.50 and pretty good. Prices were reasonable and the gals working were very, very, very nice. I saw they had a coffee they did a collaboration with Terrapin and Left Hand, I almost pulled the trigger on it, but decided I would go back and grab it later. I forgot and I'm not kicking myself. Good coffee outside Athens without a ton of red and black, and I can see why it's so popular up there. I also had a yogurt parfait that was pretty good and made with fresh fruit that cured my hunger from a very early wake-up call. This location is my fav because it is cozy and usually not crowded. Parking is a little limited because it is shared with other businesses. Staff is friendly and serves caffe with a smile. Plenty of seating and they have clean restrooms. read more

My wife's smoothie was fine. Unfortunately, my double espresso, which should be between 2 and 3 ounces, was more like a 6 ounce Americano. The pull was teetering on being too long. If I had to guess the machine is a semi-automatic and the barista accidentally pressed the wrong button. This was our first stop and we continue to hear good things about Jittery Joe's, so we are not going to write it off yet. read more

This branch is always disappointing. Very poor customer service. This morning the young guy at checkout was complaining to the customers how tired he was. He had a terrible attitude. I tried to buy the coffee they were promoting but none were on display and when I asked he said he didn't know what I was talking about so he just charged me for a random can of beans. Pastries look down right disgusting. Not to mention a line out the door with only two people working. Jittery Joe's should have a much higher standard. Will from now on only go to Two Story Coffee in Five Points. They have amazing customer service and make much better coffee drinks. read more

Not a huge regular at Jit Joe's, and for good reason I realized tonight. It's finals week, so I decided to spend the day here. Got there about 3:00 and stayed until midnight. Ordered a large drink when I came in and got a wifi code that was good for 3 hours. Normally when I come in the employees will give me multiple wifi codes if I need them. Especially with it being finals, I knew I was going to need several codes. Well, went up after 3 hours for another code and was told by the employee that I'd have to purchase something else for another code. Not the end of the world because I have my phone's hot spot, and generally not that big of an issue but I have 2 finals tomorrow and will never be back here because no one has time for that. It's a wifi code, not the Krabby Patty secret formula. Now when I fail my finals I'll know who to blame (@ jit joes employee). My friends and I are huge coffee drinkers and honestly that's where all our money goes (especially mine) but with several coffee options available in town that offer unlimited wifi (most even if you don't purchase anything), sympathetic employees, and better coffee, there's really no reason for us to spend our money here. Thought I was crazy for being upset about a wifi code but honestly my friends are more upset than I am so maybe not. Anyways, should get back to studying, ya know, because 2 finals. read more

Terrible terrible. Get your coffee around the block these employees and managers are rude and irritable people. I asked about a pastry and I swear, the way the little girl with glasses old guy acted was disgusting. I would have gotten a warmer answer asking a trump supporter to give Hillary a chance. So I politely paid the rude girl, she threw my change on the counter and turned away. I was stunned at these people! So I picked up my money and bag and turn to fix my coffee feeling a totally different energy then when I walked in, and in a negative way. Not what I was looking for going in as I'm a very polite person. So I felt ill about this $3 pastry I just spent my last 5 on for breakfast.. So in a dissatisfied customer reaction returned it. They didn't want to take it back, the snappy glasses girl stopped everything she was in such an irritable rush to do and snapped"what's wrong with it, what's wrong with it, what's your problem, why do you want to return it, we can't resell it" in just the nastiest harsher attitude. Luckily I'm chill so I didn't antagonize her, but she was looking for it. So another girl asked what's wrong and she asked the irritated older guy still fighting his cash register, he threw his arms in the air scoffed at me, reached in his pocket and threw money at me. Then the girl with glasses grabbed the pastry bag and threw it across the room. I just couldn't believe it! All I could do was laugh I was seriously in disbelief, even looking back at a short formed line. They all looked perplexed. Then the nasty girl was like"there you go, bye" omg! I couldn't believe it. Coffee shops are really easy to mess up and a lot of them fall flat within the first few months of business. Many different components go into making a coffee shop that people like to be at and admittedly, it is a difficult task. Even with the great task of upholding a good coffee shop, Jittery Joes makes their shop a place to go to genuinely appreciate the things that make the establishment up instead of just going to get a cup of coffee and leaving. Jennifer Bradley Franklin from "Simply Buckhead" drove over an hour to go and "ultimately indulge in their decadent... and really yummy coffee". People have to enjoy the staff of a coffee shop to want to come back to order a cup of coffee that tastes good and sit in a pleasant environment that conduces thoughts and creativity. Jittery Joe's delivers all of the aforementioned components to a coffee shop and the employees do it with a genuine desire to make coffee and happy costumers. read more
