The rice (bottom) and the popcorn chicken (top).

I'm in one of those rare situations where I'm genuinely at a loss of words over a restaurant. The hype surrounding Jingle Bao is completely real. People were literally lining up and camping out in the parking lot before the doors even opened, and after eating here, I understand why. The restaurant itself has this incredible open-air concept with a window showcasing the chefs hand-making dumplings fresh to order. From the moment we sat down, the service was unbelievably efficient without ever sacrificing quality. Every dish arrived quickly, piping hot, and incredibly fresh. The cucumber salad was refreshing and perfectly balanced, while the rice carried so much flavor on its own that it could've been a standout dish. But the popcorn chicken? Absolutely unreal. What sounds like a simple appetizer turned into one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. It was perfectly crispy chicken packed with flavor, paired with a sauce that was genuinely heavenly. I'd come back for that alone. The spicy pork xiao long bao was phenomenal, with rich flavor and a spice level that had the perfect balanced kick without overpowering the dumpling itself. And then dessert somehow raised the bar even higher. The piggy custard buns were not only adorable but unlike anything I've ever eaten before. They were warm, soft, and unbelievably satisfying. We also ordered the chocolate xiao long bao, which I've tried at several other restaurants, and this version was easily the best. The subtle strawberry notes mixed with the espresso-like cream created one of the most ridiculous dessert combinations I've ever tasted. Jingle Bao doesn't just live up to the hype, it completely redefines it. It's easily one of the best dining experiences I've had, and somehow at an extremely reasonable price point. Some restaurants serve food, but Jingle Bao serves the kind of meal you think about days later.

Every dish was 10/10. Worth every penny. The service was amazing, staff was very attentive. The restaurant itself was super nice and lots of room!

For the long waitlist we got seated quickly. The waiter was helpful in explaining the different types of dumplings and even recommended some good choices. The food and flavor is great. Standard dumpling ingredients of pork and shrimp, but the second time around I noticed the dough is thicker in ratio to the meat. The steamed buns especially are extra doughy--not much meat at all. Still the flavor is there, cute place and great experience overall. Best to go with a group so you can order and try different things.

We had originally went to dumpling u but the wait was too long ( about 45 min), so we drove to jingle bao. The wait at jingle bao was about 20 min. This restaurant has not been remodeled very much from what it was before. I don't know what restaurant it was before. They seat and bring you water right away. The menu selection isnt huge but everything is made fresh !! They have xiao long bao, spicy dumpling, fried rice, and some sides. We got the fried spinach, xiao long bao, spicy red oil dumpling, and wagyu fried rice. Total was about $80. The wagyu fried rice was super delicious!!! The beef was very soft and the fried rice was so yummy. The xiao long bao was also really good, plenty of hot soup in each XLB. I also really enjoyed the pan fried spinach. The restaurant was really crowded and it was nice to see everyone enjoying the food. I would definitely come here again!! Service was friendly and food came out very fast.

I was super excited to try this place after seeing it all over social media. We arrived right at 11 am opening and the restaurant quickly filled up. The space is open and bright and offers table seating. On each table there water cups and water, as well as, soy sauce, chili oil and dumpling sauce. Our server was very attentive and prompt so no complaints there. We ordered the Uncle Fried Rice. It was okay, just a little soggy for my preference but it was a generous portion. The stir fry green beans were the best part of our visit. They were so flavorful! The spicy wontons were decent. I didn't care for the sauce but the wontons themselves were good. The har gow were so bad! Almost inedible. My sister described them as just being mush. And I could not get over the overpowering fishy taste. They were not good at all. I don't know that I could justify returning for the price.

I've been wanting to try Jingle Bao since before it even opened and finally made it in after they took over the old Boston Market spot. First off, props to whoever designed their logo, it was a clever way to work with the old signage and it looks super cute! We got there around 7pm on a Saturday, and it seemed like everyone in Fresno had the same idea. I signed in at the kiosk and we were 20 groups deep on the waitlist. After about an hour, we were seated, though they did have a sign up saying takeout orders only since they close at 9pm (this was about 7:30ish). Despite the craziness, the staff really impressed me. They were hustling to keep up with all the tables and to-go orders, but they stayed attentive and made sure we didn't go without anything. The food came out quickly, and we never felt ignored, which was a huge plus considering how packed they were. For the food, we ordered a mix of dishes, starting with the stir-fried green beans, although very delicious, they were a bit greasy. Everyone seemed to enjoy them though and even wished we'd ordered a second serving. The fried golden buns with condensed milk were something I didn't try because I was too full by the time they came out, but the rest of the table seemed to enjoy those also. The pork xiao long bao (both regular and spicy) were *chef's kiss*. They were fresh, hot and the wrapper to filling ratio was spot on. The seasoning was perfect, I'd definitely order these again. The spicy wontons, which the staff recommended, were flavorful and spicy, exactly what I was hoping for. I would love to try the wonton soup next time, but the wontons were so good I didn't mind. The pan fried juicy pork buns were another surprise. I didn't expect to like them as much as I did, but they were delicious. Just be careful when you bite into them, they live up to the "juicy" name, so they're pretty hot. The scallion pancakes were a standout too, crispy and flaky just the way I like them and I would definitely order those again. As for the garlic noodles, they weren't my favorite. They were a bit greasy and lacked flavor, so I'd probably rate them a 3/5, but with so many other great dishes, it didn't take away from the meal. Finally, the har gow came out last and they were fresh and hot, just like the rest of the dumplings. Overall, I'm definitely planning to return to Jingle Bao, though I'll aim for a less crowded time since the wait was pretty long. Despite the wait, the staff's service was excellent and they really made the experience enjoyable. Looking forward to trying more next time!

I went back to Jingle Bao to try something different, and I'm still feeling a little middle-of-the-road about it. This time I ordered the beer noodle soup. I'm personally a fan of thin, bouncy, slurpable noodles that the broth really clings to. These were thicker noodles than I prefer. The broth also is oddly sweet, and I was hoping for something more savory with a little spice and depth. The green beans are still a standout for me, consistently flavorful and well cooked. The chicken dumplings were tasty, but the wonton wrapper felt a bit thick, which took away from that delicate bite I love in a good dumpling. There are still a couple things on the menu I want to try, so I'm not giving up just yet. Maybe the third visit will be the one that fully wins me over.

Yoooo Fresno... we might finally have a dumpling spot. Pulled up to Jingle Bao and the place was packed. Always a good sign. We did have to wait a bit to get seated, but honestly that just built the anticipation. Watching trays of dumplings fly past our table like little soup-filled UFOs had us ready to order immediately. Once we sat down, the service was really fast. The staff was super friendly, the food came at a speed I didn't expect , and everything felt really organized even though the restaurant was busy. You can tell they've got a good system going. Now let's talk about the food. The xiao long bao were legit. If you've never had soup dumplings before, the rule is simple: don't bite like a savage unless you want molten soup blasting your taste buds. Bite a little hole, sip the broth, then go in. These had a nice thin wrapper and a solid amount of soup inside. We also ordered the chili oil dumplings, and wow. These things were swimming in that spicy, aromatic chili oil with cilantro piled on top (effing fuego). If you like heat and garlicy goodness, this is the move. The garlic spinach was good. Perfectly cooked, glossy, and loaded with garlic. Honestly a great balance to all the dumplings. Then there was the fried rice with shaved truffle. Look... was the truffle a little extra? Yes. Did I eat every single grain of that rice anyway? Also yes. No regrets. My favorite dish here. By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, which is exactly how you should leave a dumpling restaurant. Yes I waddled out. Not really proud of that part. Fresno doesn't always get a lot of spots doing this style of food well, so I'm really glad Jingle Bao showed up. Between the soup dumplings, chili oil dumplings, and fast service, this place is definitely going into the regular rotation. Pro tip: * Come hungry * Order multiple dumplings * Don't wear white if you're clumsy with chili oil

Scallion pancake. Not much onion flavor. Rather small.

The first time here we ordered takeout (because it was so CRAZY busy). On a return visit, we dined in. I love-love LOVE their vegetable dumplings! They have a good flavor with mushroom & glass noodles inside. YUM! The (requested) vegetable fried rice was delicious, as well as the garlic broccoli (LOADED with garlic). We had an unremarkable, scallion pancake that was small. The Har Gow 'tasted' like it had dried shrimp (in with the fresh shrimp) which I did not care for at all. . . For BIG, plumpy Har Gow, I haven't found anyone that beats Imperial Garden (locally). This restaurant just opened, and EVERY single window was badly streaked (from a poor wash job) and looked dirty. . . The music was loud and in your face. The seating was uncomfortable. Staff was rushed. Altogether it was an unpleasant environment to dine in. Nope. Take out only from now on.

Probably the best dumpling place in Fresno. Place was very busy on a Sunday night, as expected. So be ready to wait 35-45 min during peak hours. Inside seating was smaller than expected but they made use of the space well. Now on to the food. The Pork Xiao Longbao was really good and fresh 9/10 Stir-fried Greenbeans were delicious 9/10 Spicy Wontons were very good as well 8/10 Truffle Beef Fried Rice was our favorite 10/10 Drinks We ordered the Strawberry Cloud and Thai Tea Tornado. Both were delicious and not too sweet Also all the OG dumpling people knows to order hot tea with their meal. $1 for a kettle of hot Oolong tea Overall recommend this place, especially for people that loved Din Tai Fung. Glad Fresno has a place of business like this.

I've gone twice and can only speak on the vegetarian options - but my parties who tried all the meat options spoke highly of what we ordered. Here's what we have ordered so far: Dumplings/wontons: Pan fried juicy buns- this was a hit. Everyone agrees this was their favorite! Pork XLB, pork and shrimp XLB. The pork XLB was juicier than the pork and shrimp. Great broth inside. Veggie dumplings: I'm glad there's an option! It's good and does the job. It tastes better as I ate more. Spicy wontons were good. The chili oil they made in this dish is really good. Shrimp wonton soup - fiance and my parents enjoyed this, said the wontons were really good. Noodles: Garlic noodles were okay - i would have preferred more of a bounce. Veggie chowmein was okay too. It's odd because the more we ate it, the better it tasted. Lol. Appetizers: Scallion pancake: really good, super crispy and savory. We loved this - I ordered this twice. Cucumber salad - it's good, not bad if you've never had it. Compared to din tai fung - din takes the cake. Fungus salad - i wasn't a big fan of this. It's fungus in their chili oil and a bit sweet. Wouldn't order again. Sesame red bean balls: soft and not too sweet. Really good. I'm not usually a big fan of red bean but these - I've ordered them twice. Sauteed: Green beans - fried, savory and flavorful. I'd pick this over the garlic bokchoy. Garlic bokchoy - steamed and topped with garlic. It's light. Dessert: Chocolate dumplings: interesting. Lol. The chocolate is so smooth - it reminded me of a lindor chocolate and then you taste the wrapper after. This spot is great overall. Everyone agrees and enjoyed it! So so glad Fresno is finally getting solid dumpling options. Ofc I'd always love more veg options but anything is better than nothing. I would def return and bring others here!

Jingle Bao - A place that was definitely on the list to try out. Went on a Saturday. I'd suggest to give yourself a hour leeway on the weekends. As our wait was about a hour. Shortly after we put our name on the list at 6PM, they cut to where you could not even put your name on the list because they close at 9pm. I did notice that the owners decided to make the logo fit in the old Boston Market logo outside. VERY SMART, love that kind of thinking and ingenuity. I took some pics of the menu so you can see all that is offered... out eyes, or bellies, or both? Wanted to try a lot. Here is all that we tried. Pork Xiao Long Bao, Spicy Pork Xiao Long Bao, Pan Fried Juicy Pork Bun, Scallion Pancake, Spicy Wonton, Steamed Buns, Garlic Noodle, Stir-Fry Green Bean, Har Gow... now mind you, that list... was just for 3 people lol. I will say some of these items above stood out to me more than others. I am a huge fan of spice, and soup dumplings, however... I personally wouldn't get the bao here next time. The Spicy Wontons were just a better dish around. I was not too big of a fan of the porn bun or garlic noodles either. But like I said, where some items did not hit. Some were amazing, I can't rave enough about the green beans. So flavorful and just a great dish, hard to stop eating. I'd personally go with Scallion Pancake, Spicy Wonton, Stir-Fry Green beans on my return, and maybe try out another dish or two to dial it in. Staff is by far really on point. Really attentive, They did however forget our drinks until we were already halfways done eating, which was the only downside. I mean really on point checking on us and bringing items besides the beverages. I'd for sure return, still dreaming about those green beans.

The pot sticker was probably one of the best I've had in town, The wrapper was not too thick, Silky, Slightly crispy, And the filling was light and delicious not heavy. The Foil wrapped chicken Was different than any other place in that it was lighter and not overburdened with a salty sauce. There is finally a reasonably priced Chinese take-out option in town that I actually like. The Mongolian Beef featured tender, flavorful slices of meat paired with crisp, plentiful vegetables. The sauce complemented the dish rather than overwhelming it, and it was not overly greasy. The Garlic Chicken was also good, coated in a savory, slightly sweet soy glaze. The meat was soft and perfectly cooked, again accompanied by fresh, crunchy vegetables. Many of the dishes here are authentically Cantonese-style: savory, built around fresh ingredients, lightly sauced, and never excessively oily. Portions are generous as well. This stands in stark contrast to many other Chinese take-out spots I have tried, where the food leans salty, oversauced, and made with cheaper ingredients -- and becomes practically inedible once it cools down. Judging by the simple décor and limited seating, it is clear this restaurant prioritizes cooking over ambiance. Most customers opt for take-out, which likely helps keep prices affordable. Service is warm and efficient. You are greeted as soon as you walk in, and staff members are ready with ordering help and suggestions. Most lunch plates are $10.25 and come with steamed rice or chow mein, or pork fried rice for an additional $2. Lunch plates are offered daily from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including weekends. The menu covers a broad range of Cantonese and Szechuan favorites -- Kung Pao Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, General Tao Chicken, Szechuan Beef, chow mein, chow fun, plus several soups and fried rice options. Combination plates start at $12.90, and the family specials (three dishes for $41) are a solid value. All in all, it is a great spot for anyone craving affordable, satisfying Chinese food -- especially students and anyone on a tight budget.
