10/22/25 Took the convenient route and ordered on Yelp though DoorDash chicken vegetable noodles soup. Paid for it there and went to pick it up. Arrived on this rainy day & greeted by kind workers, let her know of order & it was ready and received! Offered hot oil & hot sauce too! Wished a blessed day! Very much appreciated and left! Really Great artwork walking to restaurants inside as ! ! Great music playing too! Safe & clean! Pretty cool, laid back place! Lunchtime! Oh my Goodness! A LOT of food in 1 order!! You definitely get your moneys worth! Vegetable were fresh & DELICIOUS!! Good amount of tasty chicken and noodles were cooked perfectly! Fantastic, GREAT lunch with A LOT, A LOT of leftovers! Easily 4 meals! Plus, a fortune cookie to top it off!! Great service too!! Highly recommended!!

First time visiting New China Cafe with a very special friend. Makayla was our awesome server with a genuine smile and vibrant customer service skills. We ordered a dish of Special Chow Mein to celebrate our first time visit. I asked for Makayla's recommendation about appetizers and her suggestion was Crab Rangoon (6 pc). Brandon was an 18 month server with the cafe who shared about the history of New China Cafe. Main dish arrived in a timely manner with an extra plate. Crab Rangoon was served with red sweet and sour sauce and yellow hot mustard sauce for dipping. The Asian culture pictures throughout the cafe provided a very special atmosphere for dining in. I highly recommend New China Cafe for your lunch or dinner plans.

No flavor!!! Decided to try this place after driving past it...waste!!!!! Over cooked bland food! I should have stuck with SUNRISE KITCHEN!!!! Thank you for reminding me to go back to my roots! I would NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Supposed to be orange chicken, chicken chow mein and fried rice. Horrible.

My family comes to this establishment every two months and this time our experience was very and I mean very disappointing. The serving size was absolutely smaller. The size of the over cooked fried shrimp were skinny compared to how they used to serve you with plump juicy ones. The fried rice look like they put pieces of ham and vegetables in a bottom of a bowl, smashed the rice in there and flipped it on the plate. I ordered the special chow mein and I'm telling you the portion size has changed tremendously including the meats. So very disappointed. Either there's someone called in sick that normally does the cookie or they're just getting skimpy like everyone else with the portion and presenting it on a plate.

    Chinese chicken salad. Half order.

Pretty impressed with my lunch today. Decided to door dash while working remote. The half chicken salad cost $6.50- good pricing considering the portion and freshness. There was lots of dark leafy greens and it just tasted better quality than others in town. Good sesame dressing that is not overpowering. I love cream cheese ragoons - these were a bit elevated with the crab added in. They were stuffed pretty good and it tastes almost homemade not like it was in a frozen bag. The sauce was good and not too sour. Overall, I was pleased with my meal and I'm definitely going to back and try some other menu offerings.

Our first time going, and we'll be back for sure. The food looked and tasted amazing. We got the orange chicken, pan fried noodles, and then the combo #1, chow mein, pork fried rice, and fried shrimp. Plus we got the won ton appetizer (which is huge). Fed two adults and 1 child no problem with leftovers! Service was great, as we thought it would be. Ambiance was incredible! The murals on every wall gives you so much to look at, and the large fish tank was great and our daughter loved it. You can basically go in and sit down at any table and they bring menus and everything, or you can do take out.

Side of orange chicken , combo #1

Orange chicken was alright, also ordered a combo #1 and for $32 you'd think the portions would be a lot more. Hardly any noodles mainly vegetables, fried rice was super bland, basically rice covered in soy sauce and green onion and a few little chunks of pork, was not impressed! I wouldn't go back nor recommend to anyone. Want food with the $ go to chans or sunrise kitchen !

Omg this chicken Mongolian was so bomb
    Irene G.

The chicken Mongolian was so delicious. The food was fresh. The servings was enough for two people to eat. Mark's kitchen has nothing on new China Café. The staff was very polite very friendly very helpful. Everything was just perfect. It was clean. I'm definitely coming back with my family the food was just mouth watery.

Here at New China cafe enjoying Brunch with my mom granddaughter and cousin Memo thank you we were hungry.

    Sizzling Rice Soup
    Soraya S.

Great service. Sizzling rice soup was out of this world. Wasn't the biggest fan of the spices on the bbq pork, as it was a little floral tasting. But the portions and prices were amazing. Wontons also delicious with yummy sweet and sour sauce. All sauces are homemade. Texture of noodles was a little mushy. But would come back anytime for the sizzling rice soup. Atmosphere was great, not stinky and modern inside.

It was so good and the doctor pepper was so good and yummy and I highly recommend this so yum

    Cute!

Wow wow wow wow wow! That was my first reaction when taking a bite of my food. We ordered the sizzling rice soup and a combo number 4 with the chicken wings. The soup was huge I'm thinking if would feed a family or four maybe even 5. The veggies were super fresh broccoli, cabbage, mushrooms. I found some shrimp and chicken inside and we kept the rice on the side... Yummy! The decor of this place is super cute I've added some pictures to their post. There is history of Zapp Park you should look it up! The food is so good I like that it doesn't have too much flavor you can create it yourself. I loved it! Service was good too. The vibe was great!

Broooo only paid $40! For all this food and it feed 3 adults! With left overs!!! I'm not lying

Our food was for pickup and everything was ready on time and piping hot. We ordered a lot because we weren't sure of the portion sizes, but they were massive so we had leftovers for days! We ordered steamed pork buns, orange chicken, crispy sweet and sour pork, beef and broccoli, low mein, and Yangzhou Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and loaded with flavor. The standouts were the yangzhou fried rice which comes with shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. Loved all the meat here and big chunks of veggies. We all loved the orange chicken and the crispy fried pork especially. I tried to get my kids to sample the steam pork buns, but they wouldn't, which just meant more for me! Pillowy soft and full of tender BBQ pork, they were my fave. Truly a hidden gem right in the heart of Clovis!

The family dinner comes with a bowl of sizzling rice soup, An egg roll a pot sticker and foil wrapped chicken. My entree was crispy beef and my husband's entree was Kung pao chicken. Start off the soup was very flavorful, Definitely not your ordinary soup that you would find in the most places to start. The egg roll was a straight veggie roll but it was crispy and flavorful. The pot sticker was probably one of the best I've had in town, The wrapper was not too thick, Silky, Slightly crispy, And the filling was light and delicious not heavy. The Foil wrapped chicken Was different than any other place in that it was lighter and not overburdened with a salty sauce. As far as the entrees, My crispy beef was amazing, So crispy, With a delicious sauce. My husband's Kung pao chicken was so tasty, Everything was fresh and the chicken was not dry. The only downside to our entrees was that they were listed as spicy, But I think you have to ask for really spicy if you look like you can't handle it or something I don't know it just wasn't spicy at all. But we will definitely return and maybe ask for real spicy next time LOL.

I called them the day before I needed the trays. The lady I spoke to was so kind and accommodating she said it was never too late to place an order. I ordered half tray of broccoli beef and one veggie chow mein she gave me my price after tax and gave me the option to pay in person or over the phone. The day of pick up was NYE 5pm my husband was the one who picked up my order under my name. He arrived promptly at 5pm and said the food wasn't ready 5mins after 5pm he said he was about to leave. Upon arrival the food was still piping hot, it smelled AMAZING and they gave sooooo much food!!! It was nearly packed in trays with foil in a box and the food was piled high. I did notice that the veggie chow mein I had ordered was a combo-chicken, beef, shrimp and veggie, no biggie!!! But the food was delicious as always!!! There was so much leftovers. I would definitely use them again for my catering needs.

There is finally a reasonably priced Chinese take-out option in town that I actually like. The Mongolian Beef featured tender, flavorful slices of meat paired with crisp, plentiful vegetables. The sauce complemented the dish rather than overwhelming it, and it was not overly greasy. The Garlic Chicken was also good, coated in a savory, slightly sweet soy glaze. The meat was soft and perfectly cooked, again accompanied by fresh, crunchy vegetables. Many of the dishes here are authentically Cantonese-style: savory, built around fresh ingredients, lightly sauced, and never excessively oily. Portions are generous as well. This stands in stark contrast to many other Chinese take-out spots I have tried, where the food leans salty, oversauced, and made with cheaper ingredients -- and becomes practically inedible once it cools down. Judging by the simple décor and limited seating, it is clear this restaurant prioritizes cooking over ambiance. Most customers opt for take-out, which likely helps keep prices affordable. Service is warm and efficient. You are greeted as soon as you walk in, and staff members are ready with ordering help and suggestions. Most lunch plates are $10.25 and come with steamed rice or chow mein, or pork fried rice for an additional $2. Lunch plates are offered daily from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including weekends. The menu covers a broad range of Cantonese and Szechuan favorites -- Kung Pao Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, General Tao Chicken, Szechuan Beef, chow mein, chow fun, plus several soups and fried rice options. Combination plates start at $12.90, and the family specials (three dishes for $41) are a solid value. All in all, it is a great spot for anyone craving affordable, satisfying Chinese food -- especially students and anyone on a tight budget.
