I did not have "Amazing Thai food" on my Bingo Card on my way back from Amarillo yet here we are. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Chicken Katsu, and the Panang Curry and both were delicious. Not only was the service top notch - they asked if my more than picky son wanted no onions in his fried rice - but the food was excellent. I'm a pretty tough critic of curry sauces but theirs was top notch: right consistency and great flavor. If you're ever passing through, Jinda would be a great stop. read more

Excellent food, tasted great. We had the Thai fried egg rolls, Pad Thai, Basil stir-fry with chicken and the boneless fried chicken over fried rice and everything was really good. My only two complaints was the restaurant was slightly warm (it was 99 outside) and there was a sewer odor coming from the bathroom into the small restaurant. Hopefully the odor was just a temporary thing because we really enjoyed the restaurant. read more

Jinda Cafe is so good! We were driving back to the Dallas area after being in Amarillo and there's not many options to choose from fast-food wise so we decided to try this place out on our way. They have a drive thru which makes it super convenient to call in your order and pick up while on the road. We got the combo pad Thai, beef pad Thai, and mango sticky rice. All of it was DELICIOUS. On a road trip and really wanting to get something good to eat that wasn't your typical fast food and thankfully to fellow helpers Jinda came up!! Due to Covid no inside seating but decide to get some "East to eat while driving" apps to go. Got the crab Rangoon the wrapped shrimp and a roll. It was all so good! Yes - the five stars are real. We drove through on our way back from Colorado. Due to Covid, Jinda Cafe is only taking phone orders to be picked up in the drive-thru. The guy was incredibly nice and our order was prepared within 25 minutes. Our food was hot and I was impressed with how fresh the shrimp tasted in my dish. (Most shrimp dishes taste "frozen". Best dang mango sticky rice I've ever had in or out of the U.S. -- seriously. I also enjoyed my fried bananas and the friendly service while my husband noshed on pineapple fried rice and crab rice. (He consumed a huge amount of starch in one sitting.) The Pad Woo Sen that my husband ordered was colorful, nutritious, and filling -- chock full of fresh veggies that had been lightly stir-fried with the accompanying rice. In Clarendon, TX on Hwy 287, Jinda Cafe sits right at the light. The menu is vast with choices of rice dishes, noodles, curries and much more. My favorite is the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken. It has lime juice added which makes it a fresh tasting meal. My husband's favorite is Basil Stirfry with Beef, chicken, Shrimp. They have daily specials and appetizers that are scrumptious! WORTH A ROAD TRIP FROM AMARILLO OR LUBBOCK -- (and visit the Saint's Roost Museum while you ate at it) An absolute gem of an authentic ethnic Lao Thai restaurant in the tiny West Texas town of Clarendon which we would never have discovered but for Yelp!! We were on a trip from Dallas to Canyon, and had consigned ourselves to roadside convenience store food. Then, we saw the many 5-star reviews for this restaurant on Yelp, and we were so excited!! The reviews are absolutely spot on: this restaurant is spotlessly clean, the food is amazing and authentic, cooked to order, and served with care and kindness by the owner. And the food is better than many of the places we have been to in Dallas!! We started with a Jinda Cafe Roll, which is a fried spring roll with avocado and fresh shrimp. It was absolutely delicious. I got the Lao sweet noodles with chicken for my entree, and I loved every bite. Succulent rice noodles were stir-fried with tender slices of chicken , then tossed in a sweet and savory sauce and topped with a fried egg - DELICIOUS!! My husband had the king crab fried rice, which came with a generous amount of shredded sweet king crab over perfectly seasoned fried rice. My daughters enjoyed flat rice noodles studded with tofu and bean sprouts, that had been stir-fried in a sweet soy sauce. Every entree was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced between sweet, hot, salty, and sour. For dessert, we enjoyed Mango Sticky Rice, one of our all time favorite desserts. The rice was perfectly cooked until translucent in a sweet syrup. Each grain was perfect and separate. This was an unexpected gem! We came through town and ordered to go thanks to yelp. We got shrimp in a blanket and green curry with shrimp. The curry came with steamed rice but we accidentally got egg fried rice. Regardless, everything was absolutely delicious! The green curry was extremely flavorful and piping hot. The eggplant was silky and even the skin was tender. The shrimp were cleaned as such that you could easily pop the tail off or eat it all. The portions were large and easily fed two people. We parked in the lot and ate our lunch. The gentleman that gave us our order came out and offered us an a chilled navel orange. It was a perfect dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant. Driving to Vegas from southwest Missouri, we searched for good local food near 40, and found Jinda Cafe through the reviews posted here. I can't stress how worth the detour it was. It was near closing- maybe 40 minutes left in their lunch shift. We apologized profusely, and they still gave us great service and made us feel welcome. (I made sure to tip very, very well because I felt bad for making them stay later. But I would've tipped well anyway because of the good, friendly service!) I ordered the king crab fried rice and my wife ordered the salmon green curry. My rice was great- but I kept stealing bites of the curry from my wife. I can't talk about the curry without closing my eyes and shaking my head. It was the BEST curry I've ever had, hands down. It elicits "oh my gods" with Every. Single. Bite. If you don't order it, you'll regret it. If you are anywhere near this teeny town you MUST go. It it worth every mile, and every penny.
