It's been so nice to go to the same person over a long period of time, because they learn your body's "normal" and can tell when things are off. It's also been such a great learning experience, because Courtney is so knowledgeable about the body and can tell me exactly why something feels off and what's happening in my body! I've always been a big fan of massages, but I used to go less frequently, and never see the same person. I never knew what to expect and what the massage therapist's "style" would be like. With Courtney, I always know that my experience will be exactly the way I love it to be - relaxing, calming, and healing. There's always such a great ambiance at Birch & Basli - great music, aromatherapy, comfy massage table, and a very cozy room and personal experience! She is one of the most professional, yet personable and relatable massage therapists I've ever met. Her technique is so highly skilled. I can't recommend her enough!

The front desk staff is usually very nice about getting you checked in and ready to go for your appointment. The waiting room is usually clean and calm, and has a selection of water and tea to drink while you wait. Because of the layout of the facility, you can sometimes overhear other customers and therapists in your massage room, but it generally doesn't bother me. It is sometimes a pain to book, because they only allow scheduling over the phone and hold times can take forever. You usually have to schedule a few weeks out if you're looking for a specific person and/or a specific time. I have had one or two instances where I tried a new person and requested lots of pressure and the therapist did not meet my expectations, but management is good about addressing issues and following up to underwhelming massages. I have been working with Ben for over a year and he is the BEST. He deserves 10 stars. I have a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck and he always finds the right spots to provide me with relief. He is great at finding places I didn't even know I could hold tension either, and he is the only massage therapist I have had where I actually enjoy carrying on a conversation. Every interaction is very pleasant, and I wish I could come more than once a month!

While you are filling out paper work, they give you a warm neck wrap and also offer water or tea to drink. The massage rooms are spacious and very well decorated and maintained. Everything was extremely clean without feeling sterile. The massage therapist I had took the time to listen to what I wanted out of the experience and made sure to make the most of our time attending to my areas of concern. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated (which was my main goal for the treatment). The two downsides are that there is street parking only (so you might have to park several blocks away) and they are one of the more pricey establishments. (but you really do get what you pay for). He was very warm and inviting from the moment I arrived. Before my appointment, he took the time to review my intake forms and knew areas of concern and what I was looking for with my massage. We discussed my frequent running and tight legs, and he designed a massage specifically targeting my areas of concern. I left not feeling bruised or sore like other deep tissue massages I've had in the past. The manipulation was firm, but also involving limb movement to get into the fascia more deeply.
