The food is fantastic comfort food. It's like a warm embrace on a cold day. The staff were great and attentive. I ordered Twanky's and okra and my coworker had a 3pc catfish basket with hush puppies, fries, and okra. The basket also came with a choice of homemade cake or pie for dessert. A mess of food for $15. The catfish was good, the okra was good, but the Twanky's are out of the world! Imagine a large whole jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, smoked brisket, and then wrapped in smoked bacon! The flavor was indescribably and smoke was off the charts. They also offer house made pies and cakes for dessert. They have a wall of veteran pictures, which I always like to see. All food is made and smoked in house. You're really missing out on a great meal with great value. You should stop in and see for yourselves what a great establishment this is. I left feeling like I had truly been welcomed, treated right, and that my patronage was appreciated. Kind of rare in today's industry. Also, if you go to an establishment and some of the menu items are sold out for the day, you know you're in the right spot. This means they are cooking for value and quality, not volume.

It wasn't too busy mid afternoon and the establishment looked clean and maintained on the outside. We didn't want to go in, wanted it to go and they had a drive thru! So we ordered. Brisket sandwich, potato salad, Coke and apricot fried pie for this BBQ eatin' cowboy from Texas. (I spent time on a working ranch as a kid.) The delicious BBQ smoke had permeated the sack and contents. I was drooling before the bag was opened! (Yes, I inhaled a few times, after all, it was Hope, Arkansas.) Really good BBQ brisket doesn't need sauce when on a bun. This was a really good BBQ Brisket sandwich. The meat was moist, smoky, and delighted the taste buds. I never opened the BBQ sauce. The bun was decadently sweet and springy. The potato salad was good. The fried pie was pretty good (the smoke flavoring was a nice surprise). Price was good as well. We will be back as we drive through here in the future!

We went for breakfast and after looking up on Yelp and the biscuits and gravy were amazing the owner was our waitress and she was so polite and nice to us. And we asked her if we could talk to the cook cuz we wanted to hire her fly her to Phoenix take her to our favorite place here and have her teach him how to make gravy and biscuits like they had there she actually brought her out from the back and we were kidding around with her. And we asked we saw the menu and we asked her about the catfish and she said we only have catfish on Friday this was Thursday so we said well by golly will be back tomorrow to get some of that catfish. We returned about 12:30 on Friday afternoon and the place was packed. I walked in and right inside the door there were two gentlemen sitted at a table for six and I asked them could we see with them and I would pay for their lunch and they said no you don't have to pay for us just come on in and sit down we got four chairs and they were four of us so we sat down with them and we had a great conversation to them and they were so nice. We all ordered the catfish and to say that it was amazing is an understatement. My son ordered his with a bowl of pinto beans and he said they were out of this world he said they were even better than mine LOL. When we got the bill it was only $103 that was for six of us including full meals we all ordered the large order of catfish with sides and the prices were to say the least shocking how do they make any money? We were only there for 2 days and went to that same restaurant and we loved it if you're ever in Texarkana Arkansas stop by this place it is amazing.
