However, after looking at the damage himself, he put me in contact with a mechanic who was able to do the repair extremely quickly and for a very reasonable price. He even extended the tow far beyond the initial plan to this mechanic at what I thought was a good rate. Highly recommend!

It's understandable you would be upset when having the 2 close-together major issues that you referred to; but my opinion for Mike and his skills differs greatly. Have been trusting my car care to Mike for decades. During that time have referred his business to family and friends-- all good. Were I to go into detail, you might think he was a relative or I was part-owner or something. There may be an organization locally that is as good, but would find it hard to believe there's one better. The only thing negative is at times, he's been booked up. He was a one man show for a long time, though his new location and added mechanics should help with that. There are positive reasons why he has been able to expand his services... Note: In the event you come back and read your and other Yelp comments, or someone you know reads them-- you didn't mention the year of the Jeep Compass in your posted review but did say you had children. If it is a 2014, are you aware there has been 2 recalls on that model? (per Consumer Reports)
