Hot honey chicken sandwich was poor. The chicken is flakes of chicken shaped into a patty. Take a bite and it's like eating a fish sandwich. Its mush inside. No breast fibers at all. Slaw on top was just ok. Bun was fine. Barely a handful of fries. With all the competition for chicken sandwiches, this is a loser. Wendys is still the best. Not a huge reason to go back. read more

We had a delicious experience at Jimmy's Egg while visiting the area. We were quickly seated, service was friendly and helpful, and I'd certainly return if in the area again. They have and open kitchen with counter seating and plenty of booths and tables available, too. Because it was closer to lunch time, I ordered the Patty Melt and it did not disappoint! It was cheesy with Swiss and American, caramelized onions and served on Rye bread. Out of about 10 side choices, I opted for their fresh cut seasoned Home Fries which I enjoyed. My brother ordered, and let me taste, his Biscuits Gone Wild- delicious! Oh my their yummy soft biscuits were smothered and covered in sausage gravy and topped with more protein, served with your choice of eggs and a side. My uncle ordered his favorite breakfast item sausage gravy biscuits with a side of sausage and hash browns. He was a happy camper! It took some time for Amy to come to our table to ask what we wanted to drink. She promptly brought us our coffee, then said it would be a few minutes before she could take our order. (I subsequently heard her say this to every table of hers after ours.) She politely took our food order and that was the next to last time we saw her. Granted, we were hungry for our breakfast, but it annoyed me to see our completed order just sitting there ready to be picked up. It was left up to the expediter to finally bring us our food. And for another waitress to pick up our payment. All the while Amy was more involved dealing with a table of women with infants, explaining obvious menu items. "What is it when eggs yolks are runny? Sunny-side up. Right, I'll have one of those." Amy finally brought our receipt and meekly said "I'm sorry." Sorry for what exactly. There was plenty to apologize for. The food was okay, but obviously not hot. $2.89 each for bad coffee. My husband and I were traveling and had a great breakfast at Jimmy's. I'm GF and ordered the meat lovers omelette, adding green peppers, onions, and salsa on the side with a side of tomato's. It was great! My husband had a farmer's skillet and said the diced ingredients were uniform in size and cooked to perfection. Coffee was also good and service welcoming. Not the finest breakfast you'll find, but over all, a good experience. The Good: The pancakes are delicious. The bacon is crisp and full of flavor. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, and I had no trouble catching their attention. The Bad: The menu is organized poorly, at best. The rigidity of the options forces any alterations -such as substituting eggs with hash- to be handled by ordering each individual item separately, which drives up the cost. The wait staff, while polite, are easily confused when ordering anything remotely custom. The hash browns, as it turns out, are not worth ordering. "Brown" is an gross overstatement; the hash was almost entirely raw. As for the eggs, they weren't bad, but I expected better given the restaurant's name. The Point: I went for pancakes and enjoyed them thoroughly. I will likely not return on a regular basis, but my experience was pleasant. read more

Pretty darn good food! Their service is very quick, even for it being super busy and packed. The pricing isn't bad either. You get very large portions and the sides are big too. The sweet potato pancakes are delicious. I recommend this place to anyone, especially for brunch. The staff is super friendly and quick with any requests. We were in and out pretty quickly. The food is always hot, quick and fresh. The wait staff is always very good at keeping glasses full and coffee hot. Only downside is, a few times we've gone in, a manager or worker in a Michigan Wolverine jacket is very rude to some of the workers. read more

I have been to this location several times now hoping my dining experience would improve. Sad to say it has not improved. My biggest complaint is that the food is too salty. The last time it was so salty the food was inedible! You can always add salt but you can't take it off when the cooks have a heavy hand. read more

Jummy's Egg is a good breakfast venue. Servers are polite and efficient. Food comes out quickly. Deb had the queso Blanco burrito and she said it was very good. I had the traditional breakfast. Eggs just right, ham was ok, although I was kind of hoping for a slice of bone in ham. Biscuits and gravy were good. The home fries are great. If you're needing a shot of caffeine, I recommend getting a Coke or Pepsi. Unless you load the coffee up with cream and sugar it tastes like dish water. Had been good in the past, but I'm updating my 4 rating with a 1 because of how long this visit is taking. Took 40 minutes to get water. Multiple people who ordered food afterwords got there orders before we even got our water. We complained, they comped out meal. Still, depending on our next visit, I'll change my rating. If this happens to you, be sure to voice your concern. I know it's stressful serving high volumes of customers but that just means the facility needs to work on staffing. No opinion, no facility can use the excuse of high overwhelming service load, when they are in charge of their own staffing. It's a problem they've created, and should have incentive to avoid. read more

Worst omelette I've ever had. Stuffed full of raw hash browns. Supposed to have sausage in it, literally 4 small bits of sausage. Appropriately named because it's called the garbage omelette. The corned beef hash was so salty it was inedible. I'll never go back. read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but this place was ridiculous. We came at 11 on a Friday morning. It was kind of busy but not crazy. It took us a long time to even place our order. Finally we placed it and awhile later I received a chicken club, the chicken was cold to the touch (like it had been in a refrigerator) and my husband's eggs were cold. They brought us new ones and they were fine. Then I ask for to go boxes and the check. The waitress put the gross card holder that had been on multiple tables, touched by tons of people and could have been on the floor, inside of one of the boxes that we were supposed to put our food in. There was no real apology or compensation for the cold food, and the whole thing took over an hour. To top it of, the family next to our table had to send two waters back because they were kind of yellow, and when they got their food, a piece of bacon was dunked half way into their yogurt. I would avoid this place and eat somewhere else. I just wish Pittsburg had an IHOP or Denny's! read more

This place opened 3 days ago. I waited a long time for it to be built and opened, and had such high hopes. I had a Baja omelet. Bacon wasn't crisp as the cook said it would be. No cheese on top on the outside. I've had better omelets. I've had better home fries too. Now about the biscuits and sausage gravy, there wasn't enough of it for two biscuits, and I kept looking for the sausage and the gravy had a flavor I didn't care for. Another person in my party had the Biscuit Debris and loved it. Another person had the Santa Fe Skillet and loved it although it did not match the picture on the company website and they skimped on the avocado. Coffee is $2.29 and not as good as what you get at Napoli's or Mall Deli for less. Probably pricy to pay for the fancy flavored creamers like Hershey's Chocolate Caramel. In fact all the prices are much higher than is typical of Pittsburg, so we will see how the locals take to that. The people I was with would go back, but for what I got and the price, I wouldn't. I will give their Belgian waffle a try. If they screw that up I have a few restaurants that I love in Pittsburg and I'll just pass Jimmy's Egg by and head to those places (Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, Fazoli's, Mall Deli being among the best in town). read more
