The biscuits were very nice and fluffy, and the sausage gravy above average, though not extraordinary. Serviceable coffee. Denise gave us very good service: quick and attentive. At the top of the line that keto bowl was on it says you get to choose a side but I had to pay extra for a fruit cup. It was essentially a salad. Worst service I've had in years. Been many times but this was the worst. Make sure you set in a section with a career waitress and not whatever 20 year old they've hired, who's more interested in setting behind the counter talking to the other waitresses than working. Super breakfast! I had the "Almost Healthy Scramble" and it was. Egg whites, mushrooms, spinach, turkey sausage and mozzarella cheese served over home fries. The bacon was perfect, nice wide pieces, good and meaty with just the right amount of crisp. The service was top notch, very attentive and friendly. There were so many choices on the menu... Had this place for the first time this morning, and it was delightful! I got the country fried steak with a side of hash browns and fruit, and the steak was very crispy, and the gravy was delicious. My husband got the meat lovers skillet, and added egg to it, and he really enjoyed it as well. They have great kid friendly options, like the 3 silver dollar platter for $4.99! Came with eggs, 3 pancakes, and bacon. My daughter loved it, and it came with a lot of food for the price! We ordered through doordash, and the total plus tip was $44, but without the added doordash fees and tip, it came out to $33, which is honestly a super great price, we have a good amount of leftovers to enjoy later! read more

Got the Garbage Breakfast, which sounded amazing - basically a large scramble of sausage, onions, and peppers along with hashed browns and eggs. Sausage scramble just tsated like salt and looked like ground beef (extremely fine ground sausage). Was laid over top of the hash browns, which were not at all crisp and barely browned. Definitely your basic breakfast restaurant. Had brunch here with a couple of friends and we were promptly seated at a booth. The service was great! Our server was prompt with taking our order and serving our coffee. I ordered the Meat Lovers skillet with their home fries, subbed a waffle (for an extra charge) and a side of cottage cheese. I was super hungry so I was definitely ready for my meal to come out. Once our food came out, my skillet looked nothing like the picture. I get it, it never looks like the picture. BUT, when I say it looked nothing like the picture, I mean it. My skillet looked so sad. I wish I had taken a picture. I've had skillets that are pretty hearty but this skillet had little to offer. My meal barely covered the plate. The food was also cold which is why I've rated it as 3 stars. I guess that is one of my biggest pet peeves is cold food. Overall, Was it amazing? I've been to this particular location several times and each of those occasions results in mediocre service from the wait staff. The ladies who serve are just not a happy bunch and their lack of 'personality' is noticeable. If you're not one of their 'regulars', expect nothing more than getting your order with minimal politeness or care. Yeah, they'll come by and refill the coffee but they're not happy about it; ask for another butter, you'll get an eye roll; god forbid you should need another napkin or two. I go here to mix things up now and then but I think I've had my fill with this Jimmy's Egg location. First time here and enjoyed our visit. I had an omelette and my wife ordered a traditional breakfast - eggs/med, bacon, hash browns, and toast. Portions were better than expected. I was unable to finish my omelette that came with fresh fruit. Abby was our server and was running like crazy to keep up with her tables. She did a nice job in keeping our drinks topped off. I normally enjoy frequenting this location but did not expect the host to not understand that all online orders are already paid for. I told the young man my wife put in an online order for pick up an was asked by him at the register if it was already paid for. I responded that it's an online order and was about to finish my sentence with "yes" but got cut off when he asked the question again with a lower octave in his voice after a quick eye roll. I pulled out my phone to show my receipt which my wife forwarded to me but a server currently using the register informed the host that all online orders are already paid for. He seemed surprised by the information given by his coworker and then proceeded to hand me our order in which I promptly took with a quick exit to my vehicle and return to my home. I think my reaction to the host conduct is what led to this review. I wouldn't have given my experience a second thought if he asked for proof of purchase or a phone screen confirmation. I do hope this was merely youthful inexperience mixed with lack of social interaction/development and customer interactions. It's a shame a lot of the younger generation have lost touch of common courtesy and general social cues. read more

I really wanted to give this place more stars but I will have to come back for that to happen. A buddy and myself went here for breakfast around 10AM and it was fairly busy. Mostly a bunch of old people (which isn't a problem) but a few people around our age. They had a nice kind of diner style bar like you see people in the movies eating breakfast and drinking coffee at. Now we sat down and waited for over 20 minutes and didn't even have coffee yet. 25 minutes and we decided to go stand near the group of 4-5 waitresses who were standing around chatting. They finally decided that we were worth serving I guess. I ordered their classic breakfast with corned beef, bacon, hash browns, eggs over easy, biscuits and gravy. I will say, the food was outstanding. I really didn't need to add any salt or pepper (I did just because I like that...) and everything was cooked perfect. Prices were reasonable for the size of the meal, I couldn't even finish the entire thing. Maybe next time if I come back and get service right away I will add a star or two. I really would like to come back, but I fear I may end up starving to death or falling asleep before I have any food or coffee. read more

For quick in and out breakfast food, my husband and I always choose Jimmy's Egg. They have and average breakfast menu with all of the staples, but they also have some really unique menu items. They have sweet potato pancakes that I absolutely love, I am sure they are still super fattening, but I always feel healthy when I eat them. They also have bacon cheddar pancakes that are the best concoction ever! My favorite thing about Jimmy's egg is that they have "Lighter side" menu that offers a ton of delicious options that are more on the healthy side. If you go and aren't extremely hungry, I suggest you try the Skinny Jimmy. It is low-fat vanilla yogurt served with strawberries, cantaloupe, granola, and a toasted english muffin, just enough to fill you up without totally stuffing you. They service is always great at this location and we have never had a bad experience. read more

Two and a half stars is probably more like it. It is sad when my favorite thing at breakfast is the coffee and I don't really consider myself a coffee drinker. They do have great coffee here though, and if you ask them, or you have a great server you don't have to ask, they will put it in a to go cup for you. My breakfast was overall flavorless. Our server was OK. We have been here many times and overall she was not as good as normal. We have definitely strayed away from coming here as much as we used to, opting to go to better breakfast places, even if they are farther away. Jimmy's Egg is one of my top breakfast places in town. Love this location as it is really close to where I live . For the most part I love the staff here, ( always a few bad eggs in every joint ,no pun intended ). we usually let my son pick the seat and I always try to sway him into sitting in certain areas where the servers that we love are working. Only one time my son and I were ignored going in and waited over 20 minutes for someone to even ask us if we wanted drinks, I think that was because there was some confusion on who was serving which section , it was early and some of the staff just got there. I usually order one of two things, Basic breakfast with sausage , eggs, hashbrowns and the bacon cheddar pancakes , Sausage patties are fantastic they are fairly mild and not as greasy as most places are. Eggs are eggs cooked right taste great. hashbrowns are hit and miss so I end up dumping a bunch of the sauce that comes on their angry burrito on them to get them to have some flavor . ( don't know how to spell the sauce but its spicy goodness ). They just recently changed the menu up so you can add the specialty pancakes to that meal , I love the bacon cheddar pancakes. small bits of bacon and cheddar which is not too overpowering. I probably wouldn't get those pancakes by themselves but are great as a side. My son always pick the chicken strips and fries. You can get lunch for breakfast if you want , or breakfast for lunch. They close at 2pm . The chicken strips are your standard little kid staple but he seems to like them. The prices are reasonable for what you get , you can find something cheap on the menu and avoid those fast food nasty places on that street and get better quality food and better service. Now I been to a few different locations in town and service and food are similar at most locations. This location and the one on dodge are my favorite. read more

I want to love Jimmy's Egg. I really really do. But this location, they've got some work to do on their service. The past two experiences were both very sub-par. I'll focus on my latest, this past weekend. I know it's Sunday. I know there is a line. I'm okay with that. But what I'm not okay with is the lack-of-hustle from the bus-boy. There were tables needing cleaning that went uncleared of used plates for over ten minutes. On a Sunday with a small restaurant, you should have the tables cleared in 60 seconds. 120 tops! After being sat, our waitress took our drink order in a timely manner. However, after bringing our water and ice tea, and saying she'll be back with the coffee, I had to track down a different waitress with mugs and coffee refilling other customers in order to get my coffee. Time of food arrival. Another table was sat AFTER we placed our order. We had three people, they had three people. The other table proceeded to get their food BEFORE us, and they were sat AFTER our order was placed! How is that possible?! I know, the waitress forgot to put our food order in. I worked in the food industry, I know how this works. And not to mention when our food did arrive, there wasn't any silverwear to eat it with. Usually it's on the table before you sit down, but because of the combintaiton of lack-luster service by both the bus-boy and the watiress, there were not. SO by the time we finally got to eat our late food, it wasn't exactly the hotest breakfast food I've eaten. read more
