(Ok, we come to get W45T3D but whatever.) At this point the bartender knows to expect us and even asked my boyfriend where we were when he arrived an hour before us last week. She said she thinks we're "fun". We ARE the party. Duh. They have everything a bar should have: Cheap beer on tap, hard liquor for shots (Jager bombs anyone?), and a jukebox. That's pretty much all it takes to keep me happy. There are usually a few old townies drinking in the corner when we show up but after we take over the music situation they either pack up and head out or sit back and enjoy the show. We take this place over. And lately we've been bringing more people with us every time -- Because seriously, what else is there to do on a Tuesday night? I've come a couple times on the weekends. It's usually PACKED with "bro's" and college kids. All set. I'll stick to week night drinking :)

They have a a large out door patio that is perfect to knock back a few cold ones under the night's sky or during a nice summer day. They also allow smoking on the patio, if your into that. They have a large parking spot but it's not paved so you have to drive on a dirt and small pebbles. The piece is extremely affordable. The popcorn machine is a cool added benefit. The music box is cool but they people that chose the music suck. It's my go to bar in this area. Not really sure how the re-review works but tonight is was a cool night to come here. They have a live music DJ. Paying good drinks jams and at a volume that is not over baring. They have that sand bag game on the out door patio so that's cool to drink and play with friends. The hot fresh popcorn is a plus. Glad I found this local bar. The parking lot is still not paved and have made zero progress in doing so so that still sucks.

I just met her, but I felt like I was coming home. I waited for my friend to arrive & a couple bar seats to open up, and there were about two dozen people who came in after me while the wait was predicted to be an hour since most had just been seated, so they left. I wish they waited because it did clear up after about 30-40 minutes, but it was hard to predict on a Thursday at 7:30pm during a random downpour. I would encourage anyone to try The Burn, and to wait if needed. It's updated nicely, a bit cozy yet spacious when you're seated. Jess, our bartender, is also very welcoming and hospitable. I ordered a Gold Rush: ghost tequila, cointreau, pineapple, jalapeño & lime; I recall telling my friend, "this is exactly how I wish all my drinks tasted." I ordered the meatballs appetizer, and they got the haddock sandwich. The fries were excellent, and the meatballs were great. My friend loved their sandwich, fresh local haddock of course. Jess helped me make my decision between 3 options and it was perfect for my tastes and appetite of the evening. gold rush 10/10 meatballs 10/10 The Burn has excellent food & service, an elevated casual vibe, and warm, welcoming service. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately made a great impression. The ambiance was warm, relaxed, and inviting, with a great pub atmosphere that made it easy to sit back, enjoy a meal, and take in the surroundings. The decor was also fantastic and gave the restaurant a lot of character. There is something really comfortable and welcoming about the setting that makes you want to stay and enjoy yourself. The food was really good and definitely exceeded my expectations. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and prepared well. The portions were satisfying, and each dish had great flavor. You could tell that care went into preparing the food, and there was a nice balance between quality and comfort that you would hope for when visiting a great local pub. Everything we tried was enjoyable, and I would definitely come back to try more of the menu. The service was another highlight of the experience. Everything was quick, accurate, and handled professionally. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Our order came out correctly and in a timely manner, and we never felt like we were waiting around for food or drinks. The service was efficient while still being personable, which really added to the overall experience. I also really enjoyed the character of the restaurant itself. The decor and atmosphere give the place a genuine neighborhood pub feel while still making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. It was comfortable without feeling boring, and there was a great energy throughout the restaurant. Overall, Olde Main St Pub is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting Salem or looking for a great local spot to grab a meal. The food was delicious, the ambiance was excellent, the decor had plenty of character, and the service was quick, accurate, and friendly. Everything came together to make the visit a really enjoyable experience. I would absolutely return again and would have no problem recommending Olde Main St Pub to friends and family. And we interacted with neighboring tables on both sides to recommend (when asked) the oysters, and when one received a drink with a big smoke bubble that created a magical flow of smoke when it burst. French inspired drinks and food were fantastic and interesting. The French 75 menu was so interesting-- choose your flavor and your bubbles. I tried two, the classic with rosé was so pretty, and the honey lavender with base level champagne was delicious. The raw oysters were to die for! Perfect little pop of acidity with other flavors delicately added and perfectly balanced. The oysters Rockefeller were also perfectly delicious. The foie gras is not something I would normally eat, but my boyfriend loves that stuff so we went with it. I enjoyed it more than he did. It was not a classic foie gras, it was smoother with a creamier texture and more buttery flavor. Eating it with the fig jam and "light as clouds" toast made it absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every minute and mouthful--would definitely seek this place out again even though I live an hour away! We enjoyed ourselves too much to take pictures!
