I am giving the 5 stars because of the services. The cashier was friendly and so patient with me trying to remember my cell# The guy that make my sandwich was very good listener and kind. I was commenting of a memory long ago how I used to go in and buy their whole pickles and was wondering if they are still selling it. He chimed in and said yes, and offer me a pickle. Ok so I don't understand the bad reviews. We do not have a Jimmy John's, but we do have other chain sandwich, restaurants that don't even compare. The meat here is so much better than a Jersey Mike's or Subway. The only thing I'm not sure that I love is the bread. As an Elite Yelper, have to provide a 1 star review. Stopped in and there was 1 person ahead of me with 6-7 other people who were waiting for their sandwiches. It was busy for sure. I got to order and they had to close the store and take no more orders because they are out of French bread. I didn't want French bread, I wanted sliced wheat which I see they had. It's ok, the employee didn't asked, he assumed I wanted French bread. I'm sure the restaurant is good but they're closed at 11:45am on a Friday, because of no bread. I've been to various Jimmy John's over the years. I've never considered them to be a great sandwich place, but their food is usually pretty good so sometimes it's a decent option. I went to the one in Wilsonville for the first time, and it was very disappointing. The biggest problem was that the sandwich maker/order taker was over-the-top unfriendly for some reason (bad day?). But honestly the entire experience was bad. Ordering (as I mentioned) was really bad. But honestly the food was considerably worse than I remembered it being. The sandwich was stupidly put together. With a big glop of veggies wedged into bread, and then the meat just poured out over the side and all over the place. I ordered a potato salad, and paid a few bucks for that, and what I got was, I kid you not, roughly one tablespoon of potato salad. Ugh. Yea.... not going back there. read more

On 5/14 I entered an online order for the first and last time for 7 sandwiches for my employees. Everything went through on line and I received a confirmation on the order for delivery. I started to worry that the order hadn't arrived in the timeframe acknowledged. They called my cell phone shortly after I received my confirmation on line and left a message advising they couldn't fill my order for 7 seven sandwiches because they didn't have enough bread. They said they already had several large orders and couldn't help us. Still not sure if I received a credit for the order. Beware of ordering on line with this store especially if it's for work and people are counting on you. Hopefully this makes it to a manager so they know what's going at their store. Whoever manages this store (or owns this franchise?) should consider another line of work!! The staff here do what they can so no blame there.....they need proper leadership! Not only are our deliveries typically not as ordered (or in one case never showed up), but the soda machine has been broken for months! So no reason to use the JJ app as it doesn't reflect what you get. Family was quit buying here, and after last week we are too. Recommendation: find another option! read more

Ordered for delivery last night to get a call from the location within minutes, letting me know it will be over an hour and a half to be able to MAKE my order, they were seeing if i wanted to wait or cancel my order. The reason they gave is that they are completely out of bread due to the power outage that happened earlier in the day, which is totally understandable for why the location is out of bread. What I'm not understanding is how the location being out of bread has any effect on making wraps... So your losing money due to not having bread which is out of the locations control, but then your also losing money due to your employees calling customer who's orders can be made to get them to cancel it. I had no words to say to the employee as I was so dumbfounded by the ridiculous call, I immediately said to just cancel my order. Despite being the only person in line it took a solid 15+ minutes to get 1 sandwich (which was the jimmy Cubano completely drowned in mayo)... despite there being 4 people behind the counter, only one person was working on a large virtual order, which meant I had to sit and wait for my over priced $10 sandwich, while the other 3 employees pretended to do other tasks, complete uninterested in performing their basic job function. Went to Jimmy John's yesterday during a slow time. Was greeted as I came through the doorway and it just got better from there. Very courteous young woman. When I mentioned I was going to take my sandwich home and take it apart to toast the roll, she went out of her way to make the process the best it could be. She held the mayo, dressing and spices, putting them in small containers so I could add them fresh after I toasted the roll and put the sandwich all back together. "If you can't be with the one you love, honey, love the one you're with." That Crosby, Stills and Nash ditty was running through my head while visiting Jimmy John's. This location recently opened in Wilsonville and they are putting on the full court press. During both of my lunchtime visits, I've seen 11 employees behind the counter, plus kids with sandwich boards on Wilsonville Road trying to attract customers. This isn't my first Jimmy John's experience and I gave the location at Bridgeport a couple tries last year. And my overall experience remains the same. Why, oh why, is "Gourmet" in the name of this chain? And "World's Greatest Gourmet Sandwiches" plastered on their packaging is just wrong. I feel the same way about Five Guys' marketing. Enough already. They aren't doing anything fancy. Their niche is fast and basic with free delivery. The Jimmy John's menu always strikes me as geared towards students and those looking for a simple meal. They lure you in with low prices for a basic sandwich ($4.75 for an 8" sub and $5.75 for a Giant Club Sandwich) and you pay extra for sides (cookies, chips and pickles) and drinks. No punch cards or frequent dining perks. Their sandwich menu, options (bread, fixings), sides and drinks is smaller than their fast food competition (Subway), as well as my local favorite, Country Grains. The low rating doesn't mean they don't do a few things I really like: 1) Plain Slims ($3.75) are a really nice option for my kids and way less expensive than Subway. It is one of their basic subs, minus the veggies and sauce. 2) Jimmy Chips. I like the Salt & Vinegar chips in particular. Just FYI if you have allergies, their chips are cooked in Peanut Oil. 3) Free delivery (no minimum order) for those days you just can't leave the office. Actually, the reason I knew Jimmy John's had opened is that when I went to Country Grains there was no line, when it is usually out the door. I'm not too worried since they are winding down their operations in Wilsonville and are about to move to their new location in Aurora at Fir Point Farms. Perfect timing for Jimmy John's to open, too bad their sandwiches aren't in the same league. Parking is a mess in this part of Wilsonville, but they have a few outdoor tables for those sunny days as well as a small amount of indoor seating. They are clearly training new staff and were doing a nice job getting this new location up and running. Since their food just isn't my thing, I'll continue to get my sandwich fix from Country Grains even though I'll be making a bit of a drive when they move in a few months. I don't think it is likely I'll ever grow to love Jimmy John's as a local alternative. Crosby, Stills and Nash be damned. read more

Sorry, I have tried several times to leave this review. The people working at Jimmy John's in Wilsonville called me many racial slurs and made many hom*phobic comments to me after calling to report that they made several of our sandwiches wrong. The young man who claimed to be the manager told me he knows where I live and said he was going to burn my house down with my family in it for calling to report this. He was very abusive over the phone, making threats against many groups of people. He reiterated that he knew where I live and would burn my house down in the middle of the night. read more

This Jimmy John's location is by far the most delicious. The bread baked fresh is just woah. This location in Wilsonville has the BEST customer service. I will often choose to eat here consecutively just due to the great people they hire here, not to mention the great feeling that comes from scarfing down one of their exquisite made from scratch subs. I'm giving this place 2 stars, and I think that's being generous. The people at this location have a problem following customization requests. I have placed orders through the app multiple times and always ask for extra sauce, specifically oil & vinegar. But since other customers have complained about their sandwiches being soggy, I have to call in after placing my order to make sure they give me extra. I've even gone as far as to put additional notes where the app asks for my name (the app provides no area to add notes) to see if they see it, and it still gets missed. I've been told I can add extra oil/vinegar through the app/website, but that employee must not have used the app or website because I couldn't locate that either. The ONLY way to make sure they make my order correctly is to call and verify. If you told me they couldn't read, I would believe you. read more

These guys a freaky SLOW and freaky inconsistent! They have messed up our orders various times, even forgetting the small things like cutting the sub in half or throwing in some napkins. They have forgotten my chips like 3 times now! Once I received someone else's order. I was told they would apply a $10 discount under my name for my hassle. It has yet to be honored. Currently the situation is that I placed an order at 3:45 and it's now past 4:15. Our order is yet to have left the establishment per their order tracker. That's not freaky fast whatsoever! I'm not sure I understand why this place is popular. I looked up the menu on-line and decided on the #9. The picture shows it with nice thick sliced whole grain bread, but when I showed up they made it on a pretty bland looking white hogie roll. I figured, maybe I just didn't order it correctly, whatever. Seems logical that if I order off the menu, I would get what is picture on the menu. The really weird thing was they handed me the sandwich by itself. I then asked for it to go, and, saying nothing, she hands me a bag from under the counter. I ask, 'so I need to bag it up myself' and she tells me they don't do that here. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm the only one here with 10 employees behind the counter and you want me to bag up my order myself, no napkins, no nothing? I decided to stop here for dinner tonight with my niece and the two gentlemen who were working there were extremely nice!! They made our sub perfectly the way we asked, and we had quite a few little special requests for add on's. They were super slow for tonight but still had very positive attitudes. They both wished us a Happy Holidays and Thanked us for coming in. It was definitely a great experience with simple but delicious food. We will definitely come back here to eat again soon. read more
