The American Wagyu beef is $5.99 or $6.99 for the Bacon Ranch version that comes with the patty cooked sous vide-style, topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, a special burger sauce, and stacked into a buttery brioche bun. It's a 6.4 ounce meat patty that is 52% Wagyu beef and 48% Angus beef so it's a big filling burger for sure. We got greeted immediately and noticed the restaurant could use a little better cleaning and stocking. We arrived just before lunch. Wagyu beef originated from Japan and is a fatty special beef that you don't want to over cook or it loses flavor and juiciness. Most fast food chains selling this premium beef almost always over cooks so it's kinda hard to tell you are eating Wagyu beef. Arby's I enjoy and my favorite sandwich is the venison steak sandwich but they don't sell it often and it's very limited supply. If they could supply it permanently they would have a sandwich star for sure. The Wagyu was very good but I just wouldn't say it's great or the best I ever had. It also has over 1,000 calories so if you do fall in love with it. LOL. It will only be around until July.

They didn't offer an apology and the cashier seemed like I was a bother. Tonight was my last visit here. I asked for a medium Diet Coke and was given a Coca Cola. I wanted to leave a review both as someone who worked at Checkers and as someone who truly enjoys…read morethe food. I worked there from April 22 to May 14, 2025, and even though my time was short, I had a lot to say. First off, the food is seriously good. I love the $4 meal deals especially the cheeseburgers with pickles and sesame seed buns. The texture and flavor are always on point. Their seasoned fries are some of the best I've had, and the Nerds slushies are super fun and refreshing. I even have a few photos I took because everything looked so good! When it came to working there, my experience was okay, but I do wish I had more of a chance to grow. Since I was new to the job, they would often cut my hours. It wasn't because of anything I did wrong they just said it would be easier that way. I didn't get the opportunity to learn how to make sandwiches or burgers, which I really wanted to do, but I was never trained on that station. Instead, I mostly worked the fryer, made mozzarella sticks, and was starting to learn the register. I was trying to do my best and stay involved, especially on weekends, which I enjoyed working. Unfortunately, I was let go without being given a clear reason, but I'm still glad I got the experience and I'd be open to coming back in the future. Also, I wanted to mention something that not a lot of people may realize tipping is available at Checkers, and it's very much appreciated. Most people don't tip and that's okay because not everyone knows or feels like they need to but it does make a difference. I noticed that it's usually elderly people who leave tips, and I just want to say thank you to anyone who does. Even small tips help support the crew who's working hard behind the scenes. Overall, I love Checkers' food and I'm grateful for the experience I had working there. I hope more people continue to enjoy their meals and maybe consider leaving a little tip if they're able to! Overall, Checkers has good food and a nice environment. Some people came in to sit down and eat, and I appreciated seeing that. I did my best when I worked there to keep things clean like wiping tables, sweeping, and helping however I could. It was a fast-paced place, and I really wish I could've stayed longer. The experience meant a lot to me.

Everything came out hot, fresh, and well above typical fast-food quality. The Mac Bites were amazing, but the Winnebago sauce was definitely the star of the meal. I tried the Bacon Jam Burger with some regular fries…read more The burger was very good; the bacon jam gives a nice smoky flavor and the spicy pickles added a nice touch. Very much like a traditional smashburger; a little greasy, but mine was not overly greasy. Burgers are served wrapped in wax paper and that coupled with the decor gives a very old-school diner vibe. The fries were cooked perfectly. Golden & crispy on the outside, soft and steamy on the inside. I ordered the regular fries (not the seasoned fries), but they were still a tad bit on the salty side. The staff was young, but they knew what they were doing. The grill man served up a tasty burger and the young lady working the register & delivering food provided service with a smile and answered all my questions as a first time customer. My only knock on this spot is that the lobby/dining room area needs a thorough deep cleaning. The table tops were sticky, the seats had a lot of crumbs and food on them, and the floor could use a mopping. Ketchup & mustard bottles were sticky as well. On the plus side, the kitchen area looked clean and tidy (you can see right into it from where you sit). But the tables and chairs definitely need some TLC.

To start off the service sucked they could definitely use some friendlier staff at the Waterford location if they want more business. Secondly the kitchen was a mess and I could visibly tell it wasn't busy. The cauliflower crust sucks very stale they should find better storage methods, it was a odd pizza. Fried chicken, white onions, white and orange cheese, and bbq sauce. 2/10 The NY crust was amazing, good quality dough, good undercarriage, it was fermented well. Vodka sauce was decent I would like to try it with tomato sauce next time. And the pizza wasn't too greasy or floppy. Crispy and held character. 8.6/10 Would I order slices or anything held for service there? No. Everything looked out of date over 4 hours old and not held at temp. I would only ever go back to order a NY style pizza thats freshly made nothing else.

I decided to go inside instead of the drive through. SECOND BIG MISTAKE. Eventually a somewhat older woman came to the register to take my order and when I asked if she was the manager (yes) and why there was such inexcusable service, without apology for my wait told me they were in the middle of a cash exchange which was the reason for the delay.
