placed an order for an Ultimate Poker sandwich, a Country Club sandwich, and Powerade drinks. Unfortunately, the delivery driver forgot to bring the drinks. When I informed her of the oversight, she seemed unsure of what to do, and after a brief exchange, I suggested she return to the store to retrieve the missing drinks. She agreed to return but did not seem to want to resolve the issue herself. After waiting, the driver returned with the drinks, but upon opening my husband's sandwich, we noticed that it had a hole in it, as though someone had pressed their finger into it. At this point, I called the store at 12:38 PM CST to speak with the manager. To my surprise, the manager refused to give me his first name, citing store policy. However, after doing some research, I discovered that Jimmy John's does not have a policy that prohibits managers from providing their first names. This led me to believe that the person I spoke with might not have been the manager at all. Despite explaining the situation and asking for a refund, the manager showed no empathy or concern for my experience. He merely said that it was okay for me to send the food back with the driver. When the driver returned to pick up the food, I informed her of the situation, and she took the bag. However, my husband later discovered the food discarded in the middle of the street. This is completely unacceptable behavior for any company, let alone one of Jimmy John's size and reputation. As a long-time customer, I am deeply disappointed by this experience. Worker Brian at store #1979 (700 E Sonterra Blvd San Antonio, TX) did not take my order correctly. Lied and said I ordered one sub when I clearly stated I needed two subs made. After he messed up my order, he just sat in the back doing absolutely nothing and looking guilty when I brought up the issue. Another worker jumped in and started getting smart with me. I simply stated "I ordered two subs and I am really in a time crunch as I have students I have to get back to and don't have much time" Unknown worker stated "we are all in a crunch time Sir" and mouthed something else while walking away from me so I couldn't hear the rest. I then asked to speak to a Manager. I would simple say HE did not look like a manager I would want running any store. I told him the issue and he at least apologized. As I was walking out, I head the manager and the disrespectful worker just joking about it as they thought I was already gone. I will not be returning to this Jimmy Johns and I would advise my colleagues, military veteran community and anyone else in the area to avoid this location. We were in the area having dinner at Salata and my husband suggested wanting to get Jimmy John sandwiches to eat for lunch. I think this may have been only my second time buying from Jimmy John's. The first time was at a different location. I ordered the Italian 8-inch sandwich. My husband got a turkey club sandwich. We both ate our sandwiches today and it was good. I will say it was my bad yesterday. I hadn't seen what veggies are automatically added to the sandwich. My husband asked me if I told them not to include onions because I do not like them and I hadn't. The gal was so nice to remove the onions for me. Sandwiches are amazing as always. Service was pretty bad this go around. The gentleman at cashier seemed to be having a rough day I understand as we all experience these days. Although in customer service you have to compartmentalize especially when serving customers who just want sandwiches. When I went in it was quite slow. The cashier/He was rude, and uninterested to even serve me and press a few buttons on the register. Maybe find some happier people to take orders at the register. I am a rewards member and love to eat at the Stone Oak location. But tonight I came in to eat and the tables were not clean, no paper towels in the men bathroom, the Sweet Ice Tea didn't taste like Ice Tea. So, I was filling up my water bottle with water, which I assumed would be okay, considering that they give out water cups for free, as it is illegal in the United States not to, and I honestly assumed that it would be saving them money, because they wouldn't need to pay for the cup, since I had brought my own. While I was filling up my water I was approached by an employee and told I needed to pay for the water. I happily agreed, because I didn't want to steal the water if it wasn't free for whatever reason. When she rang me up for it however, she tried to charge me $2.70 which is the price for a fountain drink, and it stated this on the register. She rang up my water as a fountain drink, and I tried to explain to her that I had only gotten water, not a fountain drink, and she justified the price by saying that it was the price of the cup or something like that. I already had the water, I had already filled my OWN cup with water, I had not used any of their cups. Like I said previously, I would be more than willing to pay the .75¢ for water, which is what it normally would cost if I were to order a cup of water instead of a water cup, but $2.70 for water is just completely outrageous. I would also like to mention that I mobile ordered my food, and on their app, their is no option to order a cup of water, only a bottle of water, so I'm not sure why they would charge me for it in the first place if it's not even on the menu. It was incredibly frustrating for me, and I honestly don't understand why they would try to charge me $2.70 for water, and refuse to change it, even after I explained that I had in fact only gotten water, and not soda. I would also like to mention that I ordered about $20 of food, so I wasn't just going in there to take their water, I wasn't just using their water and not buying anything, because if that was the case I could see how it would be frustrating. I was very frustrated and upset about the whole thing and it honestly ruined the experience for me. Edit: Okay, so the owner responded by saying they charge for a branded cup, I DIDNT ASK FOR A BRANDED CUP I FILLED MY OWN WATER BOTTLE FROM HOME. Next time I'll ask for a free water cup and use it to fill my water bottle because apparently wasting a cup is more responsible than filling mine straight from the fountain. It was delivered in a timely manner and they provided everything I would need. I order weekly from Jimmy John's weekly while out of town working (mostly in Houston) utilizing a couple of lo ations. Delivery is always prompt and accurate. Today, I ordered locally through the app at 12:42 for pick-up. One sandwichn, nothing more. Arrived at 12:50 to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. Three guys were "working" the line. No more than 2 were working at any given time. Two, or all 3, were more interested in talking with each other than they were making sandwickes "Freaky Fast". Finally got my single sandwich at 1:11 (29 minutes after ordering). Bread was not removed - did not request to leave it; sandwich was not cut in half - did request it to be cut in half. The manager/owner (?) (older guy) was more interested in working with receipts and paperwork, beside and behind the guys on the line, oblivious to their poor performance and poor customer service. They were out of turkey, ham and roast beef. So, I asked what was up with my turkey. Since there was none, I asked they cancel order and just make the tuna. Their ingredients are fresh and delicious, and their service is lightening quick. The best part for me is that I can order online or through the app in about one to two minutes (tip: I find it easier to set up an online account and order that way rather than through the app)! And you can set up a 15 minute window for when you would like the food delivered. This is a real life saver when I have to work through lunch and can't break away from patients for more than a second. If I know it's going to be a busy day I order my lunch while getting ready in the morning. Ten times more convenient than ordering through Door Dash or Favor. When I first walked in the establishment was very clean and tidy. However as some of the Patrons stated, very poor service. There was no smile and very heavy attitude. The lady working that night seemed to be taking out her angers and frustrations on the equipment and tables. It sounded louder than a construction site. I've even had them deliver to me on a few occasions and they are pretty quick with their service. Along with their sandwiches, they also have chips (made with peanut oil, for those who are allergic), drinks, cookies, and their ridiculously huge and delicious pickles. Order a pickle for your sandwich...it's a must and they'll also cut it in half or 4 halves if you wish. As mentioned below, these are simple sandwiches. Don't expect gourmet sandwiches and you won't be disappointed. I had the Beach Club. It's an average sandwich and quite good. It's light and just filling enough. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. The service here is amazing, friendly and fast. All staff behind the counter were smiling and pretty cool. Actually, I was surprised at the number of employees on shift when I walked in. They may have been changing shifts (about 1:30pm) but the place was well staffed. Either their payroll is killing them or their business is crushing it and there's no problems with hefty payroll. It appears that all of the staff were working at some task or another so it looked like the payroll was being maximized. I've never seen a sandwich made so fast. By the time I walked from the cash register to the drink fountain my sandwich was ready. I then sat down and observed one of the staff crank out another sandwich in less than 20 seconds. I watched him start, looked down at my phone and then back up to him handing the sandwich to the customer. Wow! I then watched him make 2 large sandwiches in less than 40 seconds but I'm pretty sure it was closer to 30. Completely amazing. I gave this a 4 out of 5 because I didn't find a recognizable WiFi and my table was dirty and I had to clean it off myself. Almost every surrounding business has a WiFi signal recognizable by its name. If JJ has one, I couldn't find it.
