When did McDonald's change their recipe for their apple pies? I had fond memories growing up getting an occasional treat. A flaky crunch to the outer crust, and real hot apple pie filling. You could see the chopped apples. Today my husband stopped to get us an apple pie treat from McDonald's and it was awful! No fruit to be found (more like a fruit flavored gel that tasted nothing like apples) and some type of cream. It was not anything like we expected. I'm assuming it was the manager (young Caucasian man in light blue shirt). Messed up a simple order not once but twice. We Ordered a large mocha frappe and a medium caramel frappe. Well he gave us the opposite. When I said "excuse me" he turns and says "what" with an ugly face. I explained to him it was made incorrectly. He Looks at me all dumbfounded. I told him can you just make a small mocha he said yeah with attitude on his face. He has pull up and when he comes back he gives me a small caramel frappe. Closed the window with no chance to explain his mistake once again. Now I had a large caramel frappe plus a small caramel frappe that only 2/3 of the small was consumed. He had to drive all the way over there which is 15 minutes from our house to talk to the manager who still stated they were unable to help. My husband and I pulled up to the drive thru to order some and when we got to the other window to pay, my husband also showed him his military ID. They don't have any hopes or passions that they can afford and they certainly can't afford to have any privacy and live in a home large enough to afford them any space to be creative, etc. No wonder they're all unhappy... We ordered through the drive thru and requested that our fries be fresh, since every time we've ever ordered from here, the fries are lukewarm. So, when we get up to the window, we ask the guy, "Just to make sure, the fries are fresh right?" And he responds, "Well, did you ordered them fresh?" We said, "Yes, we requested it at the intercom." Completely filthy. We are in the kid zone, where children play. I'm sitting in disgust and definitely about to leave. Not one table is clean, the playscape itself is gross. IT SMELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Employees are sitting , possibly taking a break, maybe they are understaffed, because it's always like this. Though I saw staff standing next to the register counter on his phone. Bad, bad management. Get him off his phone and doing something. It's always dirty here. They need a dedicated cleaner. Looking at old reviews nothing has improved with this location. The manger is literally not competent at his job. It's unfortunate because he's suppose to be over seeing his staff and their service. I don't know why or how it's possible, but every order I place from this location, it is never complete or correct. Dicey. I was wrong to believe a 24-hr McDonald's would have 24-hr cleanliness. I brought my son here to play at their Play Place. It smelled awful. I got the impression they used a dirty mop with a bucket from the kitchen area. Rather than expose my son to this filthy play area, I convinced him that we're going to a cleaner McDonald's with a cleaner Play Place. Another family was walking in and overheard my fairly loud expression of this dirty location. I know management heard me and they just ignored my concern. This is the closet location to my house and for those few times a month when I feel like consuming some garbage...err...fast food, I've found this place is NEVER good! It's almost like they cook everything in the morning and then leave it sitting under a heat lamp all day until it's gone. And whatever isn't sold, they just reheat it and serve it the next day. Let's be honest, most people hit up the Golden Arches for the fries. Had I never been to any of the other gazillion McDonald's and know how good the fries can be, I'd NEVER go back to one ever again based on the monstrosity they serve me every time at this location. Jesus Harold Christ! How hard is it to cook the fries correctly? Don't think I've ever been to another location where I end up basically tossing 3/4 of the fries away because they are either under cooked or basically cold and stuck together. I went to this McDonalds once again against my better judgment. I asked for a snickerdoodle Mc flurry. First the cashier acted like he didn't know what it was and then he said oh yeah we have it and then when I got it and got home and started eating it, it was filled with hard chunks of something inside like maybe toffee or some kind of cookies but most definitely wasn't a snickerdoodle cookie. It is a good thing I still have my real teeth because I would not have been able to chew most of that; so in turn I ate as much of the ice cream I could and I threw that hard cookie stuff in the trash.
