The vermicelli bowl was our favorite-traces of mint, cilantro, chicken, noodles cucumber with a sweet sauce and occasional crunch of peanuts. I enjoyed the spring rolls and the peanut dipping sauce is so good you want to lick the bowl clean. Bahn mi was good. Lots of meat in it. We also enjoyed buying a hot sauce and ramen from the store. Firehouse subs menu includes, a kids menu, subs under 500 calories, salads under 500 calories, cold subs, hot subs and hot specialty subs. Do yourself a huge favor and go right for the hot specialty subs. These overstuffed behemoths, especially the large, are more than enough for 2 people to share. We split the steak and cheese and I could not have been happier, as this sandwich was the real deal. Kudos to the friendly staff for walking the floor and engaging their customers in friendly banter. I also love the cool Coke freestyle machine but what truly impressed me, aside from that ridiculously delicious sandwich was the charitable contributions they make to local first responders.

The burger patty did not taste fresh, it was dry, over cooked, and lacked flavor. There were only three or four shrimps on the burger, and the burger was topped with very little lettuce and other fresh condiments. I couldn't even taste the onions, tomatoes, and pickles. I personally like a lot of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on my burger to enhance the overall burger taste and experience. Both the fries and onion rings were plentiful, hot and golden brown, but like the burger they lacked seasoning and flavor. Also, the onion rings were cooked from frozen and made fresh. The customer service here is fantastic. I work for several food delivery services and frequent local restaurants all the time. More often than not, the staff treats DD/waits drivers like a hassle (instead of potential or current customers). It's frustrating but I get it. I'm always on the lookout for businesses that stick out in terms of kindness and patience. The other day I went in and had to wait for the order to be completed. Not a problem to wait a few minutes. They were busy but everyone was happy to wait. What impressed me was the owner. He was overly kind to everyone he interacted with and even offered me a snack for my wait (absolutely not required!). I declined but wished him well during a busy lunch rush. Not all subways are created equal! Try this one out if you find yourself craving a meatball sub :)
