Came here for a quick bite to eat and got a #11 Country Club sandwich to share. Fast and friendly service, nice clean restaurant, delicious fresh food. I walked into the Jimmy John's on Euclid in Palatine tonight at 8:15. They close at 9. I have never been treated so rudely by the 4-5 teenage boys working. They were obviously very upset someone came in while they were cleaning. They started talking about rats they've found there and insulting each others ethnicity calling 1 worker the Mexican rat king. After making my order and handing me the bag one of them made a lewd gesture behind my back. I could see him in the reflection of the doorway. I hope these teens realize they will be stuck at menial jobs as long as they continue to see customers as the enemy. read more

I like Jimmy John's sandwiches, but I do not recommend this location due to the extremely poor customer service. I have two young children; one of them loves guacamole and the other can't stand it. They are not big enough to eat a whole sandwich so I always ask them to only put guacamole on one half of the sandwich. This is not an unreasonable request. I've ordered this from dozens of Jimmy John's locations and it has never been a problem. Not so at this location. They are "not allowed" to put guac only on one half of the sandwich. Apparently this demanding culinary maneuver outstrips the abilities of the employees. What is more, they will give you a lot of attitude for even making this apparently unreasonable request. It is abundantly clear that the manager and at least several of the employees have no interest in providing even the bare minimum of acceptable customer service. read more

Beware of the manager (short woman with black hair) as she is crazy. I noticed someone behind the counter handling sandwich's without gloves. He also had just returned from a delivery and never washed his hands. So he is handling sandwiches without washing hands. The manager got all riled up when I mentioned this. Started taking video with her phone, arguing, instigating an argument and yelling and being very offensive towards me. This went on for 5" as she was obviously having a bad day...and she is the manager. I was terrified of her. On top of this, she took her mask off to yell at me and take a phone video, WHILE SHE WAS MAKING SANDWICHES AND LEFT HER GLOVES ON AND THEN CONTINUED TO MAKE SANDWICHES WITH OUT CHANGING GLOVES Are you kidding? I called corporate HQ and lodged a complaint on this woman who should be not be working in any customer related job. The other workers were dumbfounded to her behavior and were also in shock. A terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at all costs. Furthermore, it's not safe to eat here in my opinion. Freaky Fast! Visited 3times over a week and the staff was always great and sandwiches well made.

What differentiates Jimmy Johns from all its sandwich competitors is the freshness, crispness and health consciousness of his food. His subs, clubs, slims, gargantuans and unwiches are served without additives, preservatives or fillers. What other restaurant slices their meats and cheeses and bakes their bread fresh on its premises daily? Thereby, they taste best from all the rest! The staff are always friendly, courteous and responsive. As far as fast food goes, these people are quick to prepare and expedite orders. I also noticed that most of the employess are male. In the city, these guys ride their bicycles to avoid city street congestion to get to an address in a remarkably timely manner. (Maybe this has something to do with it.) read more

I placed an order for pickup today. When we got there the order was not at the front for pickup. They said they had no order for me even though my phone said my order was ready for pickup. Huh! So after a minute they found the order. What I don't understand how could I get a notice that my order is ready to pickup and but they didn't get the order at all! Yes, I was not happy. So since they just started to make it and I still do not feel comfortable being inside and am on oxygen (it was in the car) I asked them if they could bring it outside when it was ready. Within a minute two people in a black mustang pulled up and the female started screaming at me specifically, that they don't bring food out to the car and sped off. She called me an "entitled white b***h", "c**t", and a bunch of other things. This was an orchestrated attack. These people had to be called by someone in the store because how would they know we were waiting for food to be brought out. They were probably already there parked in the back or somewhere to pick someone up because it was almost closing time. All this because they messed up our order and I asked if they would bring it out when it was done. We are senior citizens with compromised health. I will never go to this store again and I hope other people read this too. Be careful of this place I think Joe D. was right. I hope the owner of this store reads this. read more

Jimmy John's is amazing! I really love all of their food on the menu. The smells of their delicious food are spreading all over the place. The food is made to order, all of it are fresh, and always new. They prepare and serve the orders so fast and quick. All of them are working really fast. The food will literally serve to you while it is hot and fresh. Very fast service. Everything went as expected. Their food is quality and delicious. Their staff is so friendly, nice, and decent. They will greet you once you enter the place and even guide you to the vacant spot. They all know how to accommodate all of their customers. Also they really care to all of their customers and give their best to satisfy all of the customers. Very personable staff. This place is really huge, so clean, and neat. The whole place has a lit vibe. It is very relaxing and comfortable. It is also near to many different place around. They got the perfect location because it is very accessible and so near. This location however when asking for a gargantuan when I say no sauce they give me no lettuce I give address for delivery, I get a call saying I'm not answering the door when I was on the couch right next to my door. I have never written a review, but I must make an exception today! Went in with my daughter 1/7/22 about 430pm to order to go for us and two others. Been a long day of moving. We walked in and I joked "we're here for the smells". I didn't have a mask on me and Gal said "you need a mask to order here". I said "ok if you can give me one I'll put it on. I don't have one". She said "i don't have one". I said "ok I'll order then go wait outside". She said she would not take my order and said it's policy. I couldn't believe it. I am a human being! I asked again to just take my order and I'd wait outside for it. There were NO customers in the store at all! She told me (in front of my daughter) to leave and she doesn't want my business (like it's her store). She was mid 20's....there were two other mid 20s females there that said nothing. It was all this one aweful human being. There is truly something wrong with her. I was so stunned and started to leave and turned around and told her "I have never been treated this badly" and she literally shouted at me to "f off". The sandwiches are good. The delivery is fast. The problem I have with this place, at least for delivery is that they charge $6 for a sandwich. According to their menu, the sandwich is $4.89, obviously tax would be additional but that wouldn't total $6. This place is a complete joke. On june 26th i ordered a sandwich at 3:30. Me, not knowing that the store was out of the range of my address orders there. Usually when the address is out of range, jimmy johns almost immediately tells you that they cannot deliver to you then give you the phone number of the store that can. This was not the case. They said they could then I waited almost a whole hour for them to call me back all for them to say that they couldn't deliver to me anymore. After I asked for compensation, the lady on the phone said that me not paying for the sandwich was my compensation. Completely incompetent staff and management. read more

It's your everyday Jimmy John's. They get 5 for flavor and bread, but this particular one's service was wacky when I was in there. It's the first time I've been to this location, but there's literally nothing else around to eat at. Anyways, great location on their part! Wondering why the service was strange, I ordered my sandwich and then decided to go back and purchase chips. When I went to purchase the chips, he tagged it onto someone else's order and the register said $8.00 so I asked for a receipt. He made it very awkward that I wanted the receipt, which made me conscious about what was actually charged to my card. Then he told me that he tacked it onto someone else's order, so on the bottom of the receipt, it showed he swiped and then I swiped. It just made me leary. I have since checked my credit card and it was only charged for the bag of chips, but the point is, it should have been a new transaction. Still a happy customer, just made me nervous! read more

Am I missing something? What is the big deal with these sandwiches? They don't toast them and they are very plain. Have been there only once, which was enough.
