Typical Jimmy John's which mean they meet Corporate Standards. Does not extend across the platform for Quality every time but generally you can be assured of a consistent product between the stores. My favorite is the 6 inch #2 Roast Beef and it has great flavor and is a perfect lunch. Generally I have this in either Statesville or Mooresville and both are consistently good. This Gastonia location follows the pattern. Granted only went through the drive through but the sandwich was excellent. Tea was good as well and no I did not order the Cheese they offer as an add on. Ordered a delivery online. An hour later, I called the store inquiring where my meal was. They told me they weren't able to fulfill delivery orders at that time. They had my contact information on the order, yet I had to be the one to reach out to them an hour later? They also never took online orders down from their website so there's no telling how many people this happened to. I called twice asking to speak to the owner about a refund but was told "he could not come to the phone and his wife couldn't be found". I left my contact information twice, never got a call back. I finally had to reach out to corporate for a refund. This is textbook for how to NOT operate a business. Will no longer be giving my business to such an inconsiderate owner. Edited to add: it's been a week and although corporate promised a refund, I still haven't received one. I also haven't received any communication from this owner. I was shopping at a few stores in the area. Saw Jimmy John's and stopped in to get a sandwich. This was my first time in the location so I wasn't sure where to stand to order. A guy asked what he could help me with and I placed my order. The guy placed my sandwich on the side of the register, no bag or anything. I had to grab my receipt from the register. When I asked for a bag he said sure and pointed to the opposite end of the counter. I walked down and was about to ask another associate (female) for a bag and she pointed to them and said you can put it in there. So I did, and had to sit and wait for my ride and watched several other customers come and and get their items bagged and handed their receipt. They just made my sandwich wrong, and when i went back to the counter to tell them it was wrong, i was met with very bad attitudes from the employees here. I told the lady when i was ordering that i wanted mu sandwich with mayo, lettuce and onion. When i sat down and took a bite i figured out that it was wrong and i went back to the counter and told the ladies working on the toppings station that my order was wrong and the lady with black hair looked up at me and said "you were told how it would be made" and i told her no that i had asked for it to be made a certain way. I moved here about six months ago, at my old house jimmy johns was great, this location on Franklin is the worst. I've only ordered twice, first time there was no courtesy call to tell me that my order wasn't coming. This second time I went to the store, I was told 10 minutes longer, so I waited. After waiting 10 minutes outside, I walked back in and checked in my order, only to realize they hadn't even started and they said to give them another 15 minutes. There were 4 employees standing around complaining, they tried the "short-staffed" excuse on me, we know these are hard times and all jobs are short staffed including mine, this doesn't excuse poor customer service. I told them I would've appreciated honesty upfront so that I could've went elsewhere instead of sitting there waiting on an order that was not going to be completed. I understand a business being busy, but when you have four employees and only 3 people in the store, it doesn't take rocket science to complete orders. Went here for the first time and I ordered off of their website. That was easy enough to do. The sandwiches were yummy, but small. 8" is their largest. My husband easily can eat 12" with no problems, so I was disappointed that they do not offer a larger size. French bread was soft and flavorful. Meats were fresh and so were the toppings. Catering............I was going to order for a function, but they do not put the sides/toppings on the side or in containers. We have about 12 people coming and I don't want every sandwich the same. Some may not like lettuce etc. on their sandwich. I talked with one of the employees about this, and the only thing they put on the side is the mayo and ketchup in packets. He told me that all sandwiches are made with toppings and that they do not have containers. I was very disappointed in that. So with that said I can't give a higher rating because of the size of the sandwiches and the catering issues. Guess I'll be ordering from Subway again. read more

In my mind, there's a certain status symbol your city gets when you get a Jimmy John's! Overall, as a sandwich shop, JJ is the bomb! Great bread...and toppings like sprouts and avocado tickle my fancy! However, my recommendation is that, if you not sure what you want or are in a pickle timewise please use the JJ app. You can customize your sub to your preference for an even faster checkout especially if you're a picky eater like me. I order the Tuna and they always make it great. I've never had a bad experience with this store, but I also order inside and take it to go, I've never gotten delivery from them. They use the right portions and it's never drowning in sauce or oil. If I want a tuna sandwich I know I can come here and always get a good one. Keep it up guys! read more

UPDATE: August 23rd After yelping and messaging the main website (twice-once for the website error received while trying to send a message & finally the message itself), I was impressed to find a letter of apology letter with free sub coupons from the store and another letter from corporate office with a gift card. It might have been a little overboard seeing that I do not live in the area, but I greatly applaud the effort to rectify the situation. I left the free sub coupons with my friends that lives in Dallas, NC to allow them to decided how they feel about the JJ subs in their area and kept the gift card to try a different store closer to my location. :) August 17th: How many JJ employees does it take to mess up a one sandwich order with only three customers in the store? THREE: The manager, sandwich maker, and a trainee. Great to know they can not even train correctly. I ordered a #16 Lulu with cucumber, avocado, and sprouts. They were out of sprouts. They barely put any avocado on it; that was not worth the extra $0.75. Somehow, the Lulu now comes with ham instead of bacon. It all cost me $8 (just for a sandwich). It is great that JJ's delivers but their delivery area is so small most of the ones I have tried to order from are out of range. read more
