Unfortunately due to shortages all around of fast food workers, I'm sure there was a shortage here. My grandson and I ordered a sandwich and drink. We waited and typically they are fairly quick. They seemed to have a lot of orders but the guy making them seemed to take his time. He would go to take an order to someone and then stop and chat a bit and go back to making subs. The woman taking the orders tried to help out a bit but there was still a line to take orders. Frustrating that he didn't seem like there was any rush on making orders. The super friendly red-head at the counter made it easy. I said "can I just order a turkey sandwich?" There was no nickel and dime add on's for cheese etc., just a toasted sandwich on fresh, delicious bread and way more meat than I was prepared for. And... The price was right! The manager at the time of visit was extremely rude. I had went with my son who is 2 and he was throwing a small fit. The manager taking my order acted like this was a huge inconvenience to her. Rather thank asking for my name for the order, she wrote down kid. When my food was ready, the lady who was giving the food asked for kid. I then realized that's how I was named for my meal. My wife had seen the receipt and spoke with this manager who did apologize. My issue with this entire situation is how is that managerial material. I experienced amazing customer service and superior professionism at this restaurant. I am a celiac and they took the time to make me feel comfortale eating at the food and keeping me safe. For a location that, like so many other locations and restaurants, are undstaffed and overworked this was an excellent experience. I saw long lines throughout to the day at Concord Mills Mall and when I stopped by to grab a seat and a drink hours later they were still killing it. Way to go and I will definately be back. read more

Extremely disappointed after eating here. I love firehouse and normally eat at the location near IKEA but was in the area today for this one. Not only were the workers swearing and fighting with each other, when we asked for an extra pickle it was literally tossed across the counter. All of this happened after standing in front of the counter for 10 minutes on a dead Tuesday night because the workers were talking back and forth. Submitted a review to the location through their surveys a month ago and never heard back... Definitely will settle for Popeyes or Burger King next time I'm at the court... read more

This particular Firehouse Sub's is located inside Concord Mills Mall. However, I was so happy there was not a line. It was pretty easy to decide what I want - and I believe all of their subs are served hot (unless requested cold). The bread was really fresh and tasty, just the right thickness and airiness. They had an abundance of sauces to add to your sub - like, seriously, a crap-ton of sauces from all over the world (Sriracha, Mexican sauces, BBQ, etc.). I was really craving a subway sandwich, but this was the next best option. Despite my skepticism, this was REALLY good! I would go back. Lastly, I want to close out my reivew with a really unique, and charitable, requst they make. So... as you might guess by the name, it withas founded In the 90's by two brothers (I think) who were firemen, and firehouse 'chefs.' They opened a restaurant and the chain took off. In keeping with their roots, they ask you if you want to "ROUND UP" to donate to first responders! I love this. Rather than asking if you want to donate $1, $5, etc-dollars to a charity, they simply ask if you want to round up your amount to the next dollar. I went there for lunch and I don't know if it is due to the food court almost being entirely shut down for renovations or if it's just the staff there but the food and the service combination wasn't the best. It did take a really long time for us to get our food. When we finally did it was basically slapped together. There were several people on staff at the time however they were walking back and forth as well as texting. The girl who rang us up, also made our food. And there was a second girl wiping the tables and taking out the trash. Both young ladies were very friendly though. The experience could have been better. read more

How come when you order a Medium combo, you only get a small drink? This location used to be much better. No napkins on the tables anymore, you have to go up to the counter to get them. Floors are usually dirty. The staff isn't as friendly/helpful as what they had in previous years. There can be 2 customers in the whole place sitting on one end of the restaurant, and the person at the counter is yelling out the names for pick-up out into the food court... hello, what about the people sitting at the tables with no food? Wouldn't you call in that direction first? Usually now they just call your name and put your food on the counter, and maybe you come and get it, and maybe you don't. read more

Nothing to write home about. The sub, which radio advertisements guarantee to be the best you've ever had or your money back, can easily be compared to the taste of the subway equivalent. Located in Concord Mills, this seems like a good option for lunch. It was just ok. I feel like all the food in this mall is over priced- like there's just a $2 up charge fee for being in the mall. I had a small philly cheese- and boy do they mean small. It was more like kid/snack size.
