During my latest extended carbcation, I decided to stop by this Jimmy Johns location on my way to Trader Joe's. I will admit that I was a bit afraid to try this location after seeing the reviews, but convenience and a craving determined that I would be dining here. I entered to a clean yet empty restaurant at 11:30 on a weekday. My turkey Tom (with sprouts) was made quickly and correctly and I was on my way. The staff was friendly enough. If you're craving JJ's, give this location a try. I have a feeling some of the bad reviews are one off occurrences.

Box Lunch catering. Fast and easy- well received.
Michelle A.

I used Jimmy Johns to cater lunch for 150 people for a two day event. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. The food was great and well received by the participants. The delivery was on time, and they helped to set up, and the staff that set up were friendly and efficient. We used the "box" lunch which included a sandwich, a bag of chips, a drink, and a cookie. AWESOME VALUE! The first day we over ordered, and had a lot of one type or another left over. The manager helped up to revise for the second day--which ended up the perfect amount. I will definitely be using this company again. Thank you!

Roast Beef

Typical tasty JJ fare and friendly employees. This location is smaller than some and there isn't too much seating so I could see it being packed at lunchtime during the week. I'll be back here for another roast beef sandwich with hot peppers in the near future. Their meat here blows away that awful Subway mystery meat stuff. Only lame part is they don't deliver to my house, step up your delivery game.

Big John

I have always been a big fan of Jimmy John's sandwiches and I was happy they opened one in my area. All of their subs are pretty good but their roast beef subs are my favorite. You have a choice of the smaller 8" roast beef sub called the "Big John" (I usually get this with some jalapeño chips & a drink) or if you're really hungry you get the Hunter's club which is a giant roast beef sub. I usually request mine with extra mayo. From past experience their delivery lives up to their name, FAST. You'll pay a little more than subway but I guarantee it's definitely worth it!

Not the best I've ever had, but definitely good, and the fries were probably my favorite part. My boyfriend wasn't a huge fan of his order though, which was something along the lines of eggs, bacon and French toast. The ice cream seemed to be a really popular option and honestly looked good, but we decided to skip dessert since it was still pretty early in the day. I also noticed a little "Keep Austin Weird" sticker which made me smile. Clearly I keep finding little pieces of Austin everywhere I go in the DMV lol. Overall, I'd say it's worth checking out. We weren't completely blown away by everything we ordered, but I liked the vibe enough that we would definitely try it again just with different menu choices next time.

A hidden meal...unknown but remembered always from 80s. The Virginian sandwich.....ohh god ham turkey bacon cheddar mayo with a side onions . It must requested and enjoyed always.

EDITED (see below)…read more WAY overpriced. Reuben was good, but meat lacked seasoning. Seriously?! At these prices!!! It was scorching hot when it comes out. Never had to wait for a deli sandwich to cool down before eating. Really disliked having to stare at my sandwich at a deli of all places, waiting for it to cool while I'm starving and the lunch clock is ticking. I got places to go. The thin bread falls apart too easily and combined with the pizza-commercial-like cheese pull after each bite with cheese hanging from my mouth to the sandwich, it was functionally very MESSY and difficult to sandwich to eat. I don't like eating sandwiches with a fork. And dont get me started with $10 small sized milkshake. It was an absolutely average milkshake. With a thin straw easily clogged. These prices are INSANE!!! I knew the prices were high going in, but I thought the quality and portions would match. There is a significant disparity between them, and I should be getting twice the amount of sandwich for these prices. Lastly the whole flow is very weird. The interactive website-menu is a disaster and confusing. It took over 10 minutes online just trying to find the menu before I arrived thinking I'd order at front counter and instead was told to take a seat. This really doesnt call for a waitress, an unnecessary markup (tips) to an already insanely expensive meal. Its like pseudo restaurant but its really just a deli sandwich shop. EDIT to owners reply: For a deli sandwich to be piping hot is unnecessary and its not a good thing. It suggests poorly trained cooks. It was a warning for other customers so they don't burn their tongue like I did on a freaking deli sandwich. Instead of leaning into the free customer feedback, they chose to brag about their flaws. So the problems are admitted features, not flaws, and further supports my evaluation. "Tiny portions relative to price." Does that make it more clear? While owner glosses over the huge portion sizes in photos on website/menu that are false advertising, and photos were only reason I thought the high prices might be justified before coming here. I only saw the actual (tiny) portion size when my food was delivered that I realized menu photos online had deceived me and the prices were insane for that reason. $21+ for a 1/4 lb half deli sandwich!?!? Insane! And centimeter-thick bread slices are also considered tiny portions. Nobody disputed weight of meat. Strawman. And it wasnt obvious the weight of meat on the already mentioned difficult to read website. Nobody's reading the fine print on a menu!! If it wasn't clear for me its likely unclear for others. should not have a cheese pull that requires utensils on a sandwich. Should not need utensils to eat a sandwich. Deli sandwiches shouldn't burn your mouth. And nobody disputed your sandwiches weren't "cooked fresh". Strawman.

Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

The surprise star of the meal was the tater tots. They were genuinely divine: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and dangerously addictive. Every bite was satisfying. The food feels thoughtful and well-executed, the kind of place you keep thinking about after you leave. Definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to come back and try more! The service was down to earth and the shop is quaint. You might need to wait for a seat to open, but it moves quickly!

THE ROYAL PALM - 12 The salmon lox is my go-to bagel order, and this is their version of it. Instead of an everything bagel, I swapped it with a cheddar bagel. Unfortunately, the bagel was a bit stale and hard to chew, which was disappointing. On the bright side, there was a good amount of smoked salmon. The onions weren't very pungent but added a nice crisp texture. I requested light cream cheese, but it wasn't spread evenly -- a lot of it was just stuck in the hole of the bagel. All in all, I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality of the bagel today. If I return, I really should encourage myself to try a different bagel other than the salmon lox to see what's out there. They also have a few melts on the menu that looked interesting.
