Terrible customer service. Don't go here! They talk rudely about their customers also and make fun of them!

I normally enjoy Jimmy Johns but I highly suggest you don't come to this one. I travel to College Station every 2 weeks and order here. They never get my order right. I kindly ask the manager why they never ask if I am a Jimmy johns rewards person to earn points. He stated they are not allowed to do that through the drive through lane so in order to get your reward points you MUST COME INSIDE to have them ask for your number. I guess this is okay as I read Jimmy John's SOP which doesn't state that. They forgot our 2 bags of BBQ chips and as I backed up to request it , I saw and overheard the Manager complaining about me to the employee because I questioned about the freaky Friday rewards program through drive through. Clearly that shows me how they feel about customers and customer service and loyalty. I should spend my 19.00 dollars per visit 4 times a month as I go every other weekend somewhere else. That is $988.00 that will now go somewhere else a year. As a level 8 Google guide, you can expect thousands of people to view this review. Learn from this review and go to another franchise or another Jimmy johns restaurant in college station. Let's put this one out of business as they don't care about customers, their money or customer service. Had to scrap my mustard off and it was still inedible.

I tried this place a while ago and was pretty disappointed. I thought I'd give them another chance as I have been pretty burned out on my lunch options while at work. I ordered a giant veggie sub with a few "extra" options in hopes they would load up the sub. Not only did they forget to put half the toppings on my sandwich, they put so much mustard that it made it almost inedible. Apparently "Freaky fast" means stoned college kids throwing random stuff into bread and calling it a sub. I called and am supposed to be getting a refund but the guy had me wait on hold and then just hung up on me. So, needless to say, I won't be going back.

I ordered sub because I was starving for a big thick fresh sandwich then this sexy Greek god named Anthony took my order and caressed me with his soft voice. The sub wasn't the only thing that got finished freaky fast ;)

Normally I LOVE Jimmy Johns, however I found a hair in my sandwich about half way through. When I called the store, they didn't even apologize, just said "would you like us to void it or get you a new one, or?" Why would I want another sandwich with a hair in it? Seems like this probably happens a lot based on the fact that the person who answered the phone didn't seem at ALL concerned that this happened. Really disappointed.

Lunch for the crew? J J has it covered.

I dig on this place and their sandwiches. I usually get the #9 which is an Italian with all the typical goodness you's expect. From the shredded lettuce, to the delicate slices of tomato gathered around succulent meats drizzled with delicate oil/vinegar dressing... bonus. So you say you only have so much time for lunch, they got it covered with the precision of a race track pit crew, they work the line to get you your sandwich yesterday. In fact my last visit, they surprised me by handing me my sandwich before I had even run my card through the reader. They added a joking "Sorry for taking so long". I turned to my friends and inhaled as I exclaimed, "You guys smell that? It's the smell of success!" The crew whooped out loud in appreciation. Yeah, I'm going to be a regular.

However, I will say that all the chicken tender places since Covid went from their signature large tenders to half size smaller tenders. Not sure why or why they never went back to the larger size tenders after Covid. I ordered a 3 piece and you can see how small the size of the tenders are and I remember when two of the tenders would of equaled 1 tender before Covid. The service was great, the tenders were hot and fresh since made to order and the fries were crunchy. Nothing wrong at all with the service, taste of the food, the only complaint is how tiny the tenders are now. With all that said of course I'll still go to Laynes and glad we have one in Houston by my job.

I was quite impressed with the texture, breading, and seasoning. It wasn't overly greasy and spice level hit the spot. Temperature: we dined in to experience the freshest chicken strips possible. It did not disappoint. I think I burned the roof of my mouth on the first bite but it was worth it. Presentation: nothing to praise but no complaints either. See the photo and judge for yourself. Ambiance: small and cute. Nothing nice about it but fairly clean. Staff: friendly but not over the top. The verdict: Chick-Fil-A is still #1. Then Layne's. Then Raising Cane's. Yes - in my opinion - Layne's beats Cane's. And all 3 are way better than Whataburger and Dairy Queen. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself!

We were BLOWN AWAY by the number of college students, dressed in their Sunday's best, openly praying over their food before enjoying some awesome chicken. It was SO NICE TO SEE! We ordered a family meal (20 pieces), 2 sides of fries and a chicken sandwich meal. We paid around $40. Great value! The food came out quick and arrived hot and fresh. I had a slight "issue" where I thought my chicken wasn't fully cooked and the manager reassured me that it was just breading but happily remade my sandwich to give me peace of mind. I REALLY appreciated that. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, literally leaving "not a fry left behind." The size of my chicken on the sandwich was HUGE- had to be hanging off the roll by 2" on each side! Staff were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the laid back decor. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outdoors as well. Definitely recommend!

The Cookshack has some great options, and my wife and I went for the Chicken & Waffles. I chose the hottest seasoning they had--pretty sure it was ghost pepper--and yeah, it was spicy but didn't make me miserable. There was a lot of food, and it definitely filled us up. My wife got mac n cheese with hers and really enjoyed every bite. The cashier was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is great for a lunch or dinner date. Like southern fried chicken breaking bad. I first had it at Hattie B's in Nashville. Hot! I mean really hot! And absolutely cravable. I had sort of given up on good hot chicken outside of Tennessee (not a fan of the other local spots in BCS), so I was excited to try Houston Hot Chicken. Stylish and functional interior, with good sized tables, comfy chairs. A little loud for talking. The best reason to come is the excellent staff, though. They explain all the different spice levels and are educated about the restaurant and their offerings. Super helpful and well trained folks (which anyone in BCS knows is remarkable in a town of college student staffed fast food). Sade, who helped me, is the best! I had a meal that included one tender at the Spicy Level and a Medium level sandwich, and subbed cole slaw for the fries. Also had a scrumptious strawberry hibiscus frosty lemonade - pro tip: get it half and half frozen and liquid for the perfect drinkability. Well, I should have eaten the sandwich before the tender because I blew out my palette on the addictive spiciness and succulent texture of the tender. 13/10 for pure tasty pain. The coleslaw, while not remarkable on its own, is a welcome break. The dipping sauce is fine but honestly, it added more texture than taste when you're eating at Spicy Level and above. I also like how you get the traditional hot chicken finish on the meat but without it coming across like a grease bomb (although your bright orange fingers will tell a different tale). I blew my spice induced runny nose about 35 times. The sandwich, supposedly medium spicy, was pretty mild at this point lol. Very tasty. The slaw and pickles provide a nice crunch and texture. Good bun, too, and nicely toasted. This is a great spot for hot chicken and even mild chicken. The no spice and honey butter levels are good for even the wimpiest diners . If you are a chile head, it's a no brainer, definitely go. And don't miss the slushes!
