We came into the Clemson location today, 5/25 at around 12:15pm and received the worst customer service possible. My daughter, who is typically timid to order for herself, actually ordered. The older heavyset, unkempt woman working the counter was so incredibly rude and seemed angry she had to deal with people. To begin with my daughter said she'd like a sub - the lady rolled her eyes and said 'that's about all we have here'. Then got aggravated when my daughter didn't order a sandwich from the menu. Her order was simple though - literally just bacon, mayo and cheese so not too complicated to comprehend. The whole time she was rolling her eyes and as she was making the sandwich was speaking under her breath about my daughter. I hope this isn't the usual customer experience for anyone here but treating a 14 year old like that was extremely uncalled for and unprofessional. If this woman treats all of her customers like this than she probably needs to find another profession that doesn't involve being forward facing to the public because her skills are below subpar. I'm just thankful the rest of my family spend our money at Sully's Steamers where the customer service was top notch! read more

"Freaky average delivery" I've straight up had little Caesar's get delivered faster than this store. It takes me 12 minutes to walk there from work, I decided to order today and it took 25 minutes for it to go out for delivery, and we're on minute 30 without a sandwich. The manager of this location should not be working in the service industry. He has horrible people skills and was extremely condescending when trying to ask questions. The service was below lack-luster but the manager truly put a horrible taste in my mouth. Skip this Jimmy johns and go to a different sandwich shop in downtown clemson. read more

First let me say that the sandwich was good. It's the service that left something to be desired. Attitude of person on the phone was very short and abrupt. Borderline rude. I live closer than a mile and a half from the store and was outside the delivery area!! Why even have delivery? And get this; when we picked up the food the sammies were wrapped in a paper wrap that was held in place by a WE DELIVER sticker!!! There are long periods when the students are not in town. I have ordered online from Jimmy John's over 10 times and every single time except one, my order was incorrect. I ordered from them a few more times and still, no sandwich I order is correct. Quick and delicious sandwich shop located in the heart of downtown Clemson. The business feels clean and the staff are very friendly. They are attentive to our orders and always get it right. My only gripe is that they are not open late during the summer, but I am understanding since Clemson is pretty dead during the summer months. Poor customer service is an understatement. You may not believe the following because I wouldn't believe it myself if I hadn't experienced it. The obvious question is why I continued to call them and the answer is that I am a student in Clemson's math department and stay quite busy and they deliver. The first time I ordered from them they left off the chips even though I paid for them and got the sandwich wrong and I just didn't worry about it. The second time they left off the chips and got the sandwich wrong again so I called to let them know and they were rude and said they would "make a note in the computer" and they would "get me next time". I agreed. The third time I asked about the chips and he said, "I have no way to verify that". I said not to worry about it and that I would call again some other time. He then said, "I won't charge for the chips. What do you want?" I ordered and the sandwich was wrong again. The fourth time I asked if he would mind reading the order back to me and before I could finish asking him to do this he loudly interrupted me speaking very rapidly. So fast I couldn't make out what he said. Not wishing to have anyone do anything to my food I said I was sorry to ask him to do this but that my order had been wrong the past three times. He responded saying he "ran three hundred orders a day and they can't all be right". I said I understood. It was wrong again. So, I called and asked for the manager which is when I discovered that was who I'd been talking to all along. So, I said, "do you remember when I asked you to read...." That was all I could get out before he screamed, "WHEN YOU DIDN'T TELL ME IT WAS WRONG???!!" I told him I was coming to get my money back and hung up. I get there and ask for the manager and was pointed to Matt. I walked up and told him not to scream at me when I try to ask a question. He then says, "are you the guy on the phone?" I said yes and said I wanted my money back. He tried to apologize and I said I just wanted my money back. He then said, "You are such an idiot. Where did you go to college.... Lemme guess YOU DIDN'T GO TO COLLEGE!". I informed him that I was a student here at this University. Then he called me a "redneck" and asked, "which NASCAR is your favorite?". I lost my temper at this point and said he needed to refund my money before I hit him. He then cancelled the transaction on my card. I left and the next morning I get a call from the local police that I need to come sign a trespass notice. So, I found out who the owner was and called him to ask that he please look at the video of what transpired and then see if he still feels I need to sign the notice. To which he replied that I should just go sign the notice and he would look at the video later. I said okay but before I could hang up he explained that I could still buy from him but I needed to do it online under an assumed name..... Hard to believe but true. The delivery drivers were always very nice though and I would tip them well as my brother worked as a delivery driver for a while and they work hard. Jimmy Johns provided me with the worst sub I have ever eaten. That still might be an understatement because I'm not sure if the loaf of bread wading in a pool of mayo can be called a sandwich. Not only do they add on charges for cheese and a pickle, but they actually take a big shit right in the middle of the sub. The oil they put on their subs mixes with the mayo to create this solution that resembles the smell of a dog farting in your mouth. No thanks- I got Firehouse next door. read more
