Possibly the slowest jimmy johns I have ever been to and also the most stale bread. Unfortunately it's the closest to my house.

Everyone here is friendly! Jimmy johns has become very expensive however. $9.56 for a sub chips and a drink. Ridiculous. But addicting!

The store is always clean, well-stocked, and has a great selection, but what really sets it apart is the people behind it. Marvin, the owner, is one of the most genuine and hardworking people you'll meet. He clearly takes pride in his store and in serving the Canton community. You can tell he cares about the customers and the neighborhood, and that kind of leadership shows throughout the entire place. His sons and the rest of the staff are just as friendly and helpful. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It's the kind of place where you're treated like a neighbor rather than just another customer. Marvin also does a lot for the community, which makes supporting this business feel even better. It's great to see a local owner giving back and building something positive for Canton. If you're in the area and haven't stopped by Eastern Market of Canton yet, you're missing out. Great store, great people, and a great example of what a community business should be.

They brought the brisket up to the front counter for me to purchase. I am used to picking out my own meat and specifically looking at the sell by date so I just didn't think of it with this process. When I got home I noticed the sell by date was the very day I purchased this large roast. No one even mentioned this fact Or explained anything In regards to the sell by date. I am not planning on cooking the roast for several days Which will be this coming weekend. i did call and they assured me that the brisket would be fine for the weekend, but the point is that I would never have bought it if I knew or saw the sale by date. Perhaps if the butcher would have explained it initially, I would have been more comfortable. It was a very bad first experience and I will never go back.

Uh-oh, I thought, when I…read morewalked in - this is more of a store selling an impressive assortment of wares that happens to have a deli counter. Never fear, Loaf & A Pound is here! They're both. I came here this particular trip for an assortment of sandwiches for myself and a hungry family. But my interest is piqued for coming back for an entire store full of rare treats and fresh goodies. We got a nice assortment - The Don, Enforcer, Big Earner, Cosa Nostra - and they were all amazing. My kids talk about Big Earner even weeks later when I mention going to an inferior (but closer to my house) sub place. The counter staff was pleasant and courteous, and I enjoyed my wait with a fun group of people in line. Whether you want some Italian groceries, or deli meats to go, or an amazing lunch that beats the pants out of some of the local chain competition - Loaf & A Pound won't disappoint! Time to go back and get some sweets later this week...

Just off of the customer service alone, this place deserves 5 stars. Since this was my first time, I decided to try their heavy hitter since I'm familiar with French dip style sandwiches and I absolutely love hot roast beef sandwiches. I did not disappoint at all, it was juicy, cheesy and filled me up without any additional sides. I also bought two of their cannolis (one Bavarian cream, the other ricatta) and they were super yummy and delicious. They had plenty of desserts as well and I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches and their oreo truffles.

Mary cashed us out and was very helpful and sweet as can be. George, please thank George! He was so very kind to help us with a special request and went ABOVE AND BEYOND! Truly! We just gave our friends the gift of some of our favorite things from Cantoros and George took that extra step! We decided we should be on the payroll, because we are constantly promoting our favorite place! We appreciate all of you!

I was eager to avoid the kitchen and had always wanted to try the restaurant, so I was game. We were able to get a reservation immediately and headed on over. Upon arriving, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server. We started our meal with the grilled calamari - a nice change from the typical fried that is usually served in restaurants. It was light and filling, and accompanied by some delicious bread and olive oil with balsamic to dip. For my main course, I chose the orrechiette pasta. The portion was gargantuan - I can have it for at least 3 meals - and the flavors were so balanced and well-composed. Our server did a good job of making sure we had our food promptly and that plates were cleared out as we finished each course. She was friendly as well. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to introducing friends and family to the restaurant soon!
