Terrific catering!!!!! Hit-and-miss for dining in. We've been to a couple of their catered events. The food was really good!

It's a typical Jimmy John's. I feel like I should be able to speak to the speed of their delivery (since they are a JJ's), but I unfortunately can't - I'm not much one for ordering delivery. In-shop service is classically speedy, though. The place is just big enough to seat a normal rush of people. Peak lunch time is usually way too many people in way too little of an area, so I tend to avoid it unless it's around 3PM and I'm really wanting to pay about 400% of what I should be paying for a sub sandwich. (That's not as much of a bash on this JJ's as it is on JJ's and every other fast food joint as corporations.) Getting to this JJ's is kind of a pain. I completely despise the way all of the main Rte 52 strip is set up...WAY too much traffic literally ALL of the time. I would almost recommend finding a sneaky way to approach JJ from the southbound side of 52, just so you don't have to wait half an hour to try and turn left, thanks to the worst stoplight in all of the state of Illinois. JJ's sits right at the south side of the most random and inconvenient road in Bourbonnais, which only contributes to the ridiculousness of getting there. It's great walking distance for Olivet students, though (assuming you want to risk getting killed at the aforementioned 52/102 stoplight). read more

Wow! Literally was in there at 11 am today was placing my order with a gentleman behind the counter. Asked for turkey, ham, mayonnaise, and cucumber, and the chick that was making sandwiches was telling him how to put it into the register and I simply said, could you order a Tom turkey and add ham and she went off saying yes you can do that it's going to cost you more go ahead charge her that way and I was like wait a minute I was simply asking a question because, when I try to order it online, I want to know which way is going to be the best way to order it and she flipped out on me. Then she completely forgot the cucumbers after she left me standing there for five minutes because the gentleman didn't know how to put it into the register and then tried chewing me out as I walked out the door because she was being a witch. The Best Sub I have had in a long time! Price is good but more than price the meat is GREAT!! Also, I am not big bread eater, but this bread is outstanding. Now for the aspect of this restaurant that impressed me where others fall short-delivery-I am not sure how they are able to create a specific sandwich and deliver in the time they do, but they did! I enjoy Jimmy John's, its the same everywhere you go. The review is more on this particular establishment than the food as most everyone on the planet has eaten at a Jimmy John's. The place is kept clean and well lit, the staff is nice and the music is never too loud. I ordered a giant number 2 (which was $13.70) and their system "glitched" and I had to reswipe my card. They said if it charged me twice I could come back and they would remburse me. I ordered delivery. Super fast!! I was hungry so got the gargantuan sandwich. Awesome! Full of meat, veggies, mayo, cheese, I added Dijon to add some flavor. The bread was fresh today as were all of the ingredients. The only thing keeping this from a 5 is.....follow my instructions!! I asked for the sandwich to be cut in half....not done. I am always on the GO! So, I find great benefit with the fast and accurate delivery services from Jimmy John's. The staff is very pleasant at all Kankakee area locations. Jimmy John don't give you enough meat on there sandwiches they charge you 4.95-5.95 that is a rip off.

The ONLY thing that made jimmy Johns good was the bread. Now for some reason they have decided not to bake it long enough. It's not chewy like it used to be and it tastes like raw dough. It was like this the past three times I've eaten there. I won't be back. read more
