3 tacos, June special (Roadhouse), Kingston and Johnny Utah.
    Ashley D.

My sister and I came in late one night for dinner (around 9pm), luckily they are open late. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The person behind the counter was happy to answer any questions. I'm always a fan of fusion type food or something a little different than the norm. I decided to get the three taco plate. We also had an appetizer of three dips with chips. I opted for the Kingston, Johnny Utah, and June special the Roadhouse. The appetizer came quickly, so we were able to munch on that while we waited for our food. When our food came, I was surprised by the size of the tacos, they are fairly large and stuffed. As soon as I started eating, I realized three tacos were way too much and I should have just opted for two. I ate the Kingston since it had avocado and the Roadhouse at the restaurant and decided the Johnny Utah would be the best reheated later (It was good reheated). Overall the food was good and so was the service. I was surprised to see live music on the patio when we pulled up, but as it was late they only played for a short time while we were there. I think Jimmy Hulas is a great option for decent meal with options available for everyone.

I love the beachy vibe in this place! It reminded me of Hawaii, Jamaica and surprisingly, Folly Beach, SC. The food was really good too, I ordered the Maui poke bowl. They did it well. And my husband ordered the Slater breakfast bowl for brunch. Their drink special of the month was the coconut margarita, which was amazing too. I will definitely be back and bringing my friends. Nice little casual lunch spot.

One of my favorite taco shop in the oakleaf town center! Their food are fresh, crispy and tasty! Sure will get messy so bring your bibs!

Supposed to be a crispy fish teriyaki bowl but I was given this instead.....and I don't eat chicken.

I received horrible service. I ordered a crispy fish Teriyaki bowl for pickup and they gave me chicken instead, and then lied and said that the person who picked it up (my colleague from work) requested chicken instead. Then they refused to fix the order or reimburse me. This is the worst service I ever received from them and I order from them at least monthly. It must be the staffing because this is not the usual service I receive from them. This transaction occurred on 2/22/25 around 9pm. The order was placed at 8:30pm. I will probably never order from here again, nor my work colleagues.

My sister placed an order and picked up the order. Since it was taco Tuesday we each got three birria tacos. The meat itself was fairly flavorful and the consome was decent. I appreciated they charred the outside of the tortilla and it was nicely crisped. Since I'm from Southern California, I was expecting some type of hot sauce like all of our taco shops offer, but sadly there was none. I would have loved a little spice, but the tacos were very good with the onions. I was pleasantly surprised they were out of cilantro, which for me makes me happy since I'm not a fan of the stuff. Overall it was a good meal and for Florida, they were pretty decent birria tacos.

Oh yea...I knew this was going to be a great meal and I was going to be rolling out of there stuffed. I pretty much wanted to order everything. The food is fantastic. Like so many other Yelpers, I had to have the birria taco special. It was on the Special's board and I'm always curious about what any restaurant is offering on that particular day if it's recommended in writing. Guess what? I was not disappointed. It really had so much flavor and I would order that one again next time. And don't you skip their elote. It's also legit! Who doesn't love corn on the cob on a stick covered with yummy sauce and Mexican cheese? NOTE: Birria \ bir-ē-ä \is a Mexican dish from the state of Jalisco. The dish is a meat stew or soup traditionally made from goat meat, but occasionally made from beef, lamb, mutton or chicken. The meat is marinated in an adobo made of vinegar, dried chiles, garlic, and herbs and spices before being cooked in a broth. I ordered the Wet California burrito with steak, and it was mostly rice and beans with very little steak. The "wet" was just queso poured over the top and onto the plate. Some bites tasted decent, others were inconsistent. The steak that was there was okay. The margarita was also a letdown -- more sour than expected and likely house tequila, with very little ice. Chips were unsalted (which I didn't mind), and the salsa had a bit of a pinch to it. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning with a bad stomach ache and didn't feel great while eating the food.
