I had the pleasure of getting assistance today (3/2025) from Nate, Peter and Alex. My headlights were so fogged over I felt unsafe and the headlight cleaning did wonders. I asked if anyone had recommendations for a better way to clean my inside windshield and I believe it was Alex who recommended a product and cleaned my windows for me to show me. Stopped in this location on a Sunday because I thought I needed an AC charge. There wasn't anyone waiting and I was seen right away. The tech stated he would have to run a few checks to see if I even needed an AC charge or if there could be something else wrong with my car. Long story, short, they ran several tests and came back and told me that my AC was actually blowing at 48-50 degrees, which is extremely cold. They did vacuum out the system for free, which might have fixed the problem. Let's be real, these guys could have easily taken me for $150 for a "recharge" that I actually never needed, but they were honest, and honesty at any mechanic shop, big or small, is hard to come by in this day and age. I'll definitely be back to have my oil changed at this location as they earned a life-long customer for something as simple as being honest. read more

Obviously if you have the tools and time to change your oil yourself, then go for it. If you don't have the time, spend your money elsewhere. Needed a quick oil change. Full synthetic with taxes costed me over $100. You would think at that price the least they could do is reattach the splash shield correctly. Failed to do that, im missing the fasteners necessary to reattach myself. Two stars, efficient but no attention to quality or detail. read more

When I left after an oil change my car quickly started making a weird noise when accelerating past 2 RPM's. I took it to a trusted mechanic and they told me my car was a quart low on oil and the air filter was loose and the casing was open. Also, I later realized all of my tire valves were loose and one was missing. read more

So Miguel and the staff are really quick and pleasant to talk to, and it's the only place I could find on a Saturday without a 2 hour wait. Speed is key here. On the performance side of things... they rush through things without double checking their work or doing it properly. It was very frustrating. I came in just for an oil change because when I do it myself, disposing of the oil is a hassle. Right before I came in I topped off my power steering fluid with my own supply and they claim to have topped it off when they changed the oil. They did. They put WAY too much in and I had to remove excess when I got home because it was indeed above max fill line. They also spilled oil all over the oil filter and didn't securely tighten it nor the cover for it. When they check you out they go through a list of things they claim to do (vacuum floors, air tires, clean windshield) none of which they actually did, or they did it so quickly you couldn't tell if it was done. Bottom line, if you're in a hurry and don't care if your car is maintained properly or professionally, then give these guys your business. Next time I'll go back to personally changing my own oil. UPDATE: same day, apparently broke my battery locking mechanism as well. Super pissed. read more

Got a routine oil change here. 1 week later my oil filter came lose and sprayed oil all over my engine and requiring my car to be towed. As soon as I learned the cause of the issue I returned for compensation for their faulty work. They refused to even refund me and showed me a video of the replacement and claimed "you can see it was tight"... which is impossible. Went on to claim I loosened it myself... They said they would escalate my complaint to corporate, never heard anything back. Horrible workers, horrible service, horrible morals. read more

Today I accompanied my roommate to this location for moral support. There was no need. The entire staff was very kind and the man who did most of the talking was funny as well. Lastly, I definitely appreciated that there was not a sales pitch for more services. When I saw all of the five-star reviews, I suspected that the reviews were rigged - written by friends and family members of employees. I mean, I've been going to various Jiffy Lubes for the last ten years or so...because I'm a creature of habit, not because the experience has ever - even once - been fantastic. My oil light has been on for weeks, and finally I decided it was time to bite the bullet. I actually chose this location because of the positive reviews, skeptically figuring I'd be the Armond White of Yelp, giving a one or two star review. When I arrived, an animated gentleman opened my car door, offered a non-creepy compliment about my personal appearance, and led me to the lobby. He explained the process and the wait time, and offered me coffee and water. Great customer service skills - polite, friendly and helpful without seeming unctuous. A few minutes later came the moment I had been dreading, where the mechanic walks into the waiting room holding some obscure part of my car, usually with a grim look on his face. This time, he was smiling, holding a dusty air filter and said...and said...it looked fine! What? The only up-sell was for some Rain-X, which only cost $3.99 and seemed reasonable given all of the rain we've had lately. As far as the actual quality of the oil change, I can't be sure since this isn't my line of work...however, my car isn't making any weird knocking sounds, my oil light is off and my mileage gauge didn't accidentally get set to kilometers. Overall, the visit took about 20 minutes...leaving me with plenty of time to gorge myself nearby and get back to work. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years to get my oil changed and have always had great experiences. The service personnel at this location are always extremely friendly, professional, and courteous. I never feel pressured into adding extra services. They always perform my oil change quickly and the waiting room is very comfortable. As a college student, it's a bit expensive, but Jiffy Lube has many coupons to help with that. The customer service is really what makes me always return to this location. They recognize me each time I go there and it's very nice to feel appreciated in that way. I have a paid for 200-ish car, it runs great, all these years, I saw the $19.99 sign out front of their business Speedway & Alvernon, and they started the up-sell I said I want the posted special, that's it. I was told."You're NOT going to like how your car runs." The neanderthal who was mad I did not go for his up-sell to the $65 oil change. So whatever he had his underground tool do, my idle suddenly was so screwed up, I had to have it fixed. So Jiffy losers go away, .heard so many of these stories why did I go there. These guys were goons. If you give them an inch they'll make sure they try and take you for a mile. Turns out the conventional oil I purchased will in fact be just fine. Also, I have reasonable doubt about the other claims made about my ever so distressed vehicle. I say "reasonable", because I googled the list of bologna I was fed the very second I came home. Rest assured, folks. Everything is a-okay. On a brighter note, this real cute kid introduced himself in the lobby and showed off his recently developed ability to count to one-hundred. I was more impressed with the boy's speedy, accurate, numerical 'yelps' than I was with the service I was paying for. I drove in to Jiffy Lube at Speedway and Sycamore mid morning on a Tuesday with the truck I'd recently bought. Jacob was informative, professional, when I explained time was a factor he was quick. I got the oil/lub/filter I walked in for, a new air filter to replace the dirty one they showed me, a new fuel filter (because they said it would only take another 5-6 minutes and it did) and a list of all the manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules. On my way out they took the time to diagnose a misadjusted windshield wiper and fix it... without charging me anything. On top of all of that, they said my total repair qualified for a discount of $50 and gave it to me without my having to do anything, say anything, clip a coupon, dance on one foot, or remember a password.
