They are kind, respectful, and get their work done in a timely manner. I appreciate that they let me know each and every time too what the cost is going to be before they perform the service, which is lower than what other places would've charged me for it. These guys are trustworthy and willing to go the extra mile, and I really appreciate it, especially since I have a hard time trusting auto shops in the first place.

(No one manning the front desk, returning after initial services to have a job done correctly, scheduled appointment not written down, condescending eye rolls for intermittent issues, etc.) I recently learned that this automotive shop has changed hands several times over the past year or so and that the name does not currently reflect ownership. (The new ownership had some employees working on Christmas Eve - geez!) I will be taking my car to another shop for services in the future.

Yesterday was the third time I have brought my fully functioning car to this place for routine…read moremaintenance and the third time a larger more expensive repair was required to get my car safely home. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I have an older vehicle so I don't know if that predisposes me to predatory practices, but moments after I recieved a call that my vehicle was ready to be picked up, i got another call saying my battery (which had tested 'low' according to their free diagnostic and would cost me an additional $700+ for them to replace) was now dead and the car wouldn't start. No apology or explanation that the reason the car didn't start is because the technician had drained the battery by leaving the dome light on; I know this because it came on when they jump started it with me in the driver's seat. It was the kind of dome/map light that you have to click on intentionally. What is going on here? And why does a $260 12v prius starter battery cost over $700 to have installed at this place? Highway robbery and no remorse. I was able to install a new battery, purchased at an O'Reilly auto parts store near my house, in minutes. Never again!!!

I've been coming here for over a decade and have always looked forward to the professional service and experienced advice. The new crew does not exude any quality of professionalism, and I felt like I couldn't fully trust that the recommendations weren't just an attempt to get some more money. The old crew would walk through any issues and suggest clear solutions without pressuring a purchase. Really disappointed in the drop in quality, thank you Tom and the old crew for the years of service! I will be looking for a new shop :/

Best part is I had her take it to Honda and there's nothing wrong with the cat. Of course there isn't. The car only has 35k miles on it. They wanted $5000 for emissions issues when if they were honest would tell her to call Honda for a Goodwill service ticket. Honda is covering the whole job at no cost. Misogyny alert. Had an outright terrible experience. Came in for oil change, wanted to try these…read moreguys out. Omar rolled his eyes at my rebuffs of him trying to sell me things on top of the oil change. Same rolling of the eyes when I asked that the tires be pumped to 32 which is closer to the factory standard of 30 for my car "We do it at 35 here". I requested he print out the estimates for all the services he wanted to sell me. "Do you need me to actually print it out?" At the end, I pointed out the chauvinist attitude and was told "You're just difficult" and "God bless you!" which sounded like "F*@k you". The fee including tax for oil change had been quoted to me to be $75. I noticed I was charged $79.88. I approached a very nice staff member Tabor who took my receipt and said he would try to help. Out comes out Omar with his bullying attitude spitting out "Do you have a problem with the invoice?" I told him I would like to deal with his colleague. "Here! Out of my own pocket!" he fishes out a five dollar bill from his sweaty pocket and shoves it into my hand. And I get another "God bless you!" that has so much hatred in it. I go back to Tabor and ask him to take the bill and to give me a five out from the register. On the way home, I get a tire pressure sign which I have not seen for many months. I measure the tire pressure: 34.3, 33.7, 36.9 and 37.4. Not only was Omar rude, he was plain misogynist and unprofessional. Tabor mentioned this was not the first time a woman has complained of being treated in a hateful, misogynist way. Their boss Jerry is out on vacation. If I don't get my money back, I'll dispute the charge. Can't believe this just happened.

But, if you have a European car, you have to reward yourself with this experience. In my hiring days, I would have wanted to steal away everyone I met. The service needed was on a Mercedes that I'd been taking elsewhere for way too long. My experience started on the phone with Lilly who is the ultimate professional. I was given an estimate over the phone before I scheduled and the final cost came in under. Upon arrival I then had the pleasure of dealing with Rob who was amazing. He didn't talk down to me, he explained what was going to happen, he gave me a time estimate, offered me fresh coffee (Keurig), snacks, cold water, and, since I was there early, an Amy's donut. Then I say down in a spotless, very comfortable waiting room with comfy chairs and waited. After the job was done every single thing done went through a thorough QC by one of the owners (Victor) and then I was given a printout of the work done, suggestions (no pressure) of future work, and follow-up texts. I was told by one of the employees that the owners treat them really well (good job Dana and Victor) so, in turn, they take good care of the customers. I met all the mechanics (the owners were feeding everyone that day) and they were all clean, personable, and seemed very happy. I will never take my car anywhere else and my husband will be taking his BMW there very soon. The value added when you have faith in the people taking care of something that's as important as personal transportation is priceless. Gotta shout out to John who started the business (met him too), he created this place and it appears as though the new owners have maintained his standards in both practices and personnel. I met people who've been talking their cars there for 20 years. I believe I've found a unicorn in this business.

I originally took my Ram 1500 for an oil change and they did a great job for a great price! Their prices are extremely fair, I give them that. However, let me warn you that they do not call prior to working on your vehicle, I was never informed how much it was going to be to "fix" my AC, they just went ahead and worked on it, and expected me to fork out $400 for Freon. Ok, I paid and was a little unhappy that I was never informed how much it would cost. The next day, my AC still wasn't working. Mind you it was 98 degrees, with no AC having to drive my daughter across town to soccer practice. I spoke with one of the mechanics and was informed to take it back and that they would look at it. Well again, they worked on it without consent and now expected me to pay another $200 to "fix" the original problem I took it in for. Dan was argumentative saying "it was fixed the first time" and demanded that I pay. This review is simply to caution others, and share my experience with Ray Scott Automotive.
